Beautiful bedrooms - very comfortable and well designed. Serviced twice a day with complimentary water and all bathroom amenities replenished. Great location - just steps from Liverpool Street station.

There was a 5% service fee applied to the room rate. I only knew about it as I queried the room charge at checkout as it was a bit more than I had expected from my confirmation on booking.com. It was "hidden" and did not show as a separate entry on the invoice. They removed it at my request but it would be easy for guests to not realise and pay.

I'm usually very particular about the cleanliness of hotels and this hotel did not disappoint. The rooms are very clean and the beds are so comfortable. There was a cleaner there, I never got her name but she was so detailed. She left me extra chamomile tea when I was ill. Additionally, I was expecting a delivery that didn't come until several days after I checked out, the concierge was kind enough to store it until I had a friend come pick up for me. The location is also perfect, it's close to everything and 2 mins walk from the subway.

The shower and bathtub are in the same space.

We had a wonderful stay. The room, shower and facilities (like the pool) were perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Only one thing we really didn’t like: When we received the bill at the end of our stay, we noticed a higher amount per night than the amount on our Booking information. When I mentioned this, they said they included a 5% service charge. I told them I wanted to pay the amount as agreed upon, so they changed the amount per night back to what it was. We know that more hotels and restaurants in London add a service charge. This was however the first time it wasn’t even stated on the bill as an extra, they just added it to the amount per night, so the only way to notice, is if you know exactly what you’re supposed to pay. We felt a bit deceived…

Outstanding stay, one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff were exceptional, incredibly helpful and friendly. Room was gorgeously decorated, and all bathroom amenities were of high quality (Dyptique). Very convenient location, 200m or less from Liverpool Street Station. Good restaurants in close proximity. Special mention to our barman Raúl who was absolutely fantastic, remembered our names and orders 5 days later! His service was also outstanding, polite, friendly, helpful. Another mention to Maria our housekeeper who took very good care of us and went out of her way to make sure that we were happy with our room. We used the gym a few times, really amazing space which even includes 2 pilates reformers (heaven for me). Will definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again.

There's nothing you can't love about this hotel.

Excellent stay in a Bishopsgate suite as a family, until check-out.

Disappointing check-out experience with a bottle of still water charged from the minibar although presented as free of charge by the luggage assistant when checking in. Allegedly removed from the invoice but ultimately maintained as made up “in room dining miscellaneous” charge when the invoice was finally received four days later. Not really client friendly and rather mean for a total amount of our five days stay more than thousand times the charged amount for this bottle of water.

From pre-arrival communication to actual stay, we had a fabulous time and were so well received. Since it was my husbands birthday they even put a Happy Birthday little cake in our room. The staff is totally customer centric, with a charming service mindset and really goes above and beyond to ensure the tailored comfort. Regardless if at the reception, breakfast, housekeeping, Spa or in the Straits restaurant. Communication behind the scenes seems to function like clockwork and I would definitely recommend it.

Nothing - we would have liked to stay longer - but we also know that there will be a next time

This was a trip I head earmarked for a long time as I was proposing to my partner. From the beginning, the staff were exceptionally help and courteous. From check-in to checkout, we were treated exceptionally well. The hotel decked out the room like I requested for proposal and when she said yes, it made the entire weekend even better. Perfect location for anyone staying in London. The staff were exceptional. And it was a really enjoyable and a memorable experience.

One minor qualm was the men's steam room was out of order while we were there. Which was a little dissapointing but nothing we couldn't get over.

Location & the pool were brilliant

Disappointed with breakfast. Felt unclean. ST in the same place twice and noticed food on the floor from the day before. Cutlery was all scratched. I dint see how black cutlery can work in a hotel looked cheap. Flies over the food -should be covered. The worse was my coffee -the mug smelt terrible -something not right. No cleanliness at all. I had to send it back. For the amount of money spent staying here - I would expect much better standards in the eating area. Sorry to say but very very poor far from five star.

We LOVED LOVED David the door guy. He was so helpful during our entire stay. He gave us great ideas on restaurants and places to see with a smile on his face all the time. He is a very valuable employee for whom you are fortunate to have as part of your staff, especially at the door where he greets every guest with a warm welcome. Upon our arrival, in the lobby there was jackhammering going on that was unbearable to me after a long redeye flight from the states, he came outside and just chatted with me, making me feel so welcome! He is a gem!!!

Jack hammering in the lobby during a very busy time of the day in the hotel.

Excellent luxury hotel right in the heart of the "City" of London. Beautiful, well-designed rooms. The staff were also very professional and courteous (as would be expected, but still - they seemed very well trained and managed). This is my new "go to" hotel in this part of town.

It was a bit difficult to get an extra night added to my reservation when my travel plans changed. The reservation administration systems seemed rigid and inflexible. There was tons of availability on Booking.com, but for some reason the hotel didn't exactly make it easy to stay one extra night.
