Excellent location! We walked to many of the beautiful sites in London and we were very close to the tube for other adventures. Breakfast and the staff working the breakfast were excellent!

Young man at front desk was not helpful regarding our luggage concerns, (66 stairs with heavy luggage…we understand that the fact that there was no lift is well advertised but our experience at other hotels without lifts has been much better), helping us with directions to a laundromat (suggested that we could google it), overall friendliness and/or concern was absent. He created a negative atmosphere.

The property has an excellent location on the northeast corner of Hyde Park, about three minutes by foot to the closest park entrance. It is about a six minute walk to the Marble Arch underground station which is located to the east of the property. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had a minor issue with the bathroom door in our room but it was repaired immediately. We also received helpful information about a local dentist (daughter had a toothache) as well as a great recommendation for some takeaway pizza! The kitchen staff was also very pleasant and prepared some excellent food for breakfast. When we checked out, we were allowed to keep our luggage in the reception area until it was time for us to go back to the airport. We look forward to returning in the future.

The hotel is in a brilliant location close to public transport and within walking distance to a lot of shops, restaurants and even land marks! We were visiting for a concert in Hyde park and the hotel couldn’t have been in a better location - literally a 5 minute walk from the concert entrance/exit. Breakfast was good - nice full English with lovely serving staff. Good selection of cereal. Basic but exactly what you need before a day in London. The room was small but fine for two people. The bathroom again small but fine. Both the bathroom and room was clean and very comfortable. For the price I recommend this hotel highly. It is not luxury but it is safe and clean.

It is worth noting the reception is not 24/7 which for us was not a problem but for some it may be.

Great location a short taxi ride or 45 minute stroll across Hyde Park from Victoria bus station .. very welcoming & friendly staff and fairly priced for the standard of the property .. breakfast was great, juice/tea/coffee, a choice of cereals and full English offered on a serve yourself basis .. hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows .. fans were provided in the room as the weather was very hot during our stay .. tea/coffee making facilities were in the room as was a fridge.

It was a shame that the fridge in the room wasn't working at the time of our stay as the weather was exceptionally hot and keeping bottled water cold would have been nice .. also the water pressure in the shower was weak, ok to wash yourself, but would be a problem rinsing shampoo out of thick hair, but we were on the top floor of a high building so this was probably the reason for low water pressure.

The hotel is located in a fantastic location, just next to Hyde Park. There is Starbucks around the corner and some restaurants if you want to have a bite. The room itself had two single beds, very comfortable with nice pillows. There was a mini fridge and kettle with coffee and tea for our convenience. There was also a hair dryer, a TV, a fan which we actually used as it was very hot on that October day and a radiator if anyone needs one. Towels and toiletries were also provided which was great!. Breakfast was free and delicious, great coffee served as well.

There was nothing we didn't like. For the price we paid, the room and service was exceptional!

Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable and the hotel location was excellent- 5-10 min walk from Marble Arch tube at most - (exit at Edgware Road steps). The staff were all lovely, we had an excellent breakfast and our stay was superb value for money. Our room had older style furnishings, but was spotless. We were going to The Palladium and Kensington House and the journey to both only took a few minutes, as this hotel is so central. Will definitely stay again.

Will try to book earlier next time, as prefer ground floor room with no stairs due to health. That said, our room was lower ground with only a single flight and was next door to the breakfast room. A lovely member of staff carried our cases for us without us even needing to ask her.

I arrived after the office was closed, 5 minutes after, I had no phone so no way of receiving information so I could not access the key holder to gain access to the premises. After extensive ringing of bells and borrowing other people's phones and about an hour later I gained access to the building and eventually my room. Don't leave home or country without making sure that you have your mobile phone, it's a must when you travel.

It was all good once I was inside, my fault for leaving my phone in Australia.

We were given a family room on the second floor. Our room was ready when we arrived (early) and so we were given access straightway which was great. Staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included in the price. Key for front door available so we could come and go with ease. Our bags were left for the day when we departed and we called back early evening to collect - no problem with this at all.

No shaving light in the bathroom - needed to have the bigger light on every time. A little dated but expected with a property that age.

A few minutes walk from Hyde Park, so an excellent location for what we needed. Close to bus and tube links. The staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was basic but good and freshly made. Everything was clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.

I'd recommend letting them know if you're not good with stairs as the property has many floors. We were fine but some may not be. The decor could do with an update as the wallpaper was hanging off and repaired with tape and the furniture is quite bulky for the size of the room.

Location: excellent for the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, also Marble Arch tube very near and walking distance from Paddington. Room was small (as expected, given the price) but had everything we needed. Towels were large and very soft. Bed was comfortable. Tea making facility was there. Breakfast in the morning was good and the staff, both in reception and at breakfast were friendly, polite and very helpful.

We were on the 3rd floor and perhaps because of that the shower wasn't very good. It took ages for hot water to make it up to the room and pressure wasn't good.
