Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous room and very comfortable bed. Very helpful and kind staff who ensured all our needs were met. We loved the roof terrace bar. Perfect quiet location but very close to restaurants, shops and transport links. Hopefully we'll return!

This hotel has a perfect location in Chelsea. Very convenient to get to from the airports and very easy to get around to the rest of London, if you'd like. However, the area itself was incredible just for wandering around, shopping, and dining. The staff were also truly wonderful. Kind, helpful, and very attentive. They made the experience well worth what we paid. The nightly turndown service and welcome glasses of prosecco were lovely. Our room and bathroom were clean and the maid service did a great job each day.

The only thing we would point out is the building and the rooms are old and should probably be updated. We're not very particular when it comes to things like this, so, for the price we paid, we felt we received great value staying here. But if you're pretty particular about 5-star accommodations, this place might not meet your standards. If you're looking for a very comfortable hotel with awesome staff and a perfect location, though, this place is for you!

San Domenico House is a charming and luxurious hotel. A real gem set in the heart of Chelsea. The Staff stand out for professional approach, balancing discreetness and exquisite courtesy. A thousand thanks to these distinguished and efficient gentlemen. The breakfast is very good and the waiters are really kind and attentive. Thanks to them too for the flawless service. Rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and superbly decorated. I look forward to my next stay and really recommend San Domenico House to everyone is looking for some beautiful days in London.

Everything perfect. I loved my stay

As a solo female traveler with some mobile disability, it is imperative that I feel safe and well-cared for in the hotels I book, particularly in large cosmopolitan cities such as London. It is worth it to pay extra for that peace of mind. This was absolutely the case during my three nights at San Domenico House. Nothing was too much trouble for the magnificently attentive staff. They make you feel like a VIP from the moment you walk through the front door and hand you a glass of prosecco along with your tasseled room key. I had selected the four-poster double room for my needs, and it was absolutely perfect for one person. Plus I'm a sucker for a four-poster bed :) It was luxurious, private and quiet. The desk is staffed 24/7 and someone is always able to buzz you in so no need to worry about being on a dark doorstep at night. In fact, the location was perfect, and I was able to walk to the bus stop at Duke of York sq. in five minutes which whizzed me around the city. Had too much fun shopping at John Lewis and drinking lattes at Pret a Manger, both right around the corner. I hated to leave and can't wait to return. Grazie!

San Domenico is a beautifully historic property, which has its pros and cons. The hot/cold taps and shower handles were fussy, but the staff willingly gave me a demo. If you balk at the pricey breakfast and really just need your caffeine fix ASAP upon awakening, one must dress and walk through the hotel's lobby to get to the coffee station (and those fussy little Nescafe packets which are so hard to open). An in-room kettle and coffee/tea station would really elevate the experience and make it more comfortable for guests. I stayed in another five-star hotel last year in London, and they had that feature in a slide-out drawer hidden in the wardrobe. Coffee addicts such as myself would be very appreciative. But these are minor quibbles -- overall, a wonderful stay!

What a wonderful place, beautifully decorated with a lot of charm and warm-hearted people! Highly recommend it if you want to have an authentic and very special experience. From the moment you enter the door of this boutique hotel, you feel very welcome and everything is smooth and pleasant. We booked this place for the Birthday anniversary celebration, and indeed we did feel very special and festive there! Our room was upgraded, it did feel joyful and very romantic! Upon arrival, we had special treats in the room with some nice chocolates, a glass of bubbles and a Birthday card! Very caring and sincere attention towards their guests, you want to come back to this place again! I would like especially to thank Carlo, who was very attentive, kind and genuine, making our stay so special and memorable!

Amazing room with elegant curtains and a luxurious king bed. We also had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the picturesque street of townhouses. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The hotel has an elevator but the stairs are easy to navigate as well, and they have a great porter to help with bags. They also have a great roof terrace with a bottled cocktail honesty bar- such a great way to unwind in the evening. The full english breakfast was fantastic and a great way to start the morning - it came served in silver covered platters to the room and was very filling for the whole day. The location was also perfectly situated in the heart of Chelsea.

Nothing! This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had.

Quirky- lovely decor- excellent location - very helpful staff

We would have liked tea & coffee facilities in the room - that was our only gripe - they said we could ask next time & it would be available but still felt for that class of hotel it should have been a given - didn’t spoil out stay & would definitely go back 😊

Absolutely loved the decor (hotel & room) and location. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Bed was comfy. We upgraded to suite but even prior room was spacious for price by London standards which tend to be small & pricey.

Loved the coffeemaker & know the hotel is Italian-owned but suggest a small pot in room to make hot water for tea rather than having to get from lobby (very minor inconvenience).

- staff hospitality. - location. - traditional Italian hospitality style. - very big room & bid. - furnature is amazing & iconic. - 3 stars hotel fee.

I might believe it is 4 stars hotel, no way it is 5 stars for example: - lobby is fantastic but very small for 5 stars. - no concierge available. - room toilet is very very small. - no water boiler for tea & coffee in the room. - breakfast is good quality but variety is limited. - no resturant for lunch/dinner. However, I have rate it 10 because of its cost is 3 stars hotel.
