The hotel is perfectly adequate, provided you accept that there may be worn areas of paint, and sections of carpet are stained. It is an old building, and the prices, compared to other hotels in the immediate vicinity, are reasonable. If you want luxury, you'll be disappointed. If, however, you want to have pleasant staff greet you who are respectful and courteous, have a comfortable bed, clean towels, and a perfectly serviceable shower room, then this establishment will suit you well. On booking in, I asked if I could have a quiet room. I was given 411, and it was indeed peaceful. The location was perfect for my needs. A 200 m walk to a venue I was visiting. Good restaurants and La Brioche 50 m served a lovely full English breakfast.

We've just returned from our latest trip to London. I'm making this statement to ensure my opinion is honest and accurate, having stayed in a wide variety of neighborhoods and in a wide variety of accommodations, from apartments to serviced apartments to hotels. The Brompton Hotel is definitely the best option I've ever found! Where do we start? I'll start by saying that Harry at the front desk is a special person, helpful, affectionate, and professional like you're unlikely to find. Ivona is a beautiful, immaculate, and tidy young lady! Every day we found the room tidied up with clean towels (every day) and sanitized bathroom fixtures. Now let's get to the building itself: it's an old building in perfect English Victorian style. For those of us who love antiques and this era, it allows you to feel immersed in history. Our room was on the fourth and top floor, a sort of attic (high ceilings) with windows overlooking the magical London of the Old Brompton Road area. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that the rooms are reached by stairs (with an old railing 😍)but I can tell you that even though we were on the highest floor, we didn't suffer, such was the pleasure of staying there. Finally, let's talk about the location, more than strategic; I'd say unique! The hotel is very central. In a wealthy and picturesque neighborhood, bustling with life, shops, and bars. You'll lack nothing. Every type of fast food restaurant and, above all, typical British eateries and pubs. Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you'll find history: the Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Harrods is easily reached in about 15 minutes on foot. All that's left to say is that I highly recommend this accommodation for your stay in London. It's comfortable, clean, and excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back soon.❤️

The Hotel was exactly what we were looking for on our 3 night stay in South Kennsington...location, location, location...and the staff were always very friendly...our room was clean and cozy and overlooking the lovely and exciting high street...Museums were a short walk away...The Georgian cafe downstairs was delightful...we loved the traditional Georgian breakfast they served each morning. All in all we would certainly recommend The Brompton Hotel to our friends and family. Good value for money. The Boot family.

It was close to the South Kensington train station so not too far to walk conveniently positioned and close to the The Royal Brompton Hospital where I was going and the staff were very polite and helpful to me
No lifts and I was on the top floor with a child and a very heavy suit case , the staff were great and carried it to outside the room door for me , shower wasn’t very powerful the bathroom was lovely , I do think the rooms could do with a re vamp a bit of up grading new carpets are required , it’s good value for money for a short term stay

Fabulous location. The room was fantastic everything you needed. Great view. Comfortable stay. Fabulous cleaning team, Ladies are so helpful. Could not fault it with kids. Right beside tube station. Will be going back there. Reception guy was amazing always so helpful with your needs when you’re passing the reception. Also little things like looking after your bags. That’s what makes your trip great. Loved the place. Thank you team Brompton hotel.

The chap on the office duties was fairly brusk and demanding. I didn't expect have to lodge a 75 pound bond . as well However the room was quiet and bed comfortable and the chap on office duties in the morning was far more welcoming and thoughtful/. May be the chap on the night before had had a bad day so no hard feelings.
See above ...everything else was very good and well priced considering it is such a high class area.

Great hotel, very well priced, friendly staff always willing to help but the best part is the location from restaurant, bakeries and the London underground. Super easy to get around, easy to get home, brilliant location.

I had read a lot of the reviews and most were pretty damning so i was pretty anxious coming to the hotel. However i have to say my son and I had a most comfortable stay. For the price that we paid,we stayed in a warm, clean cosy room...yes not the ritz but the people giving terrible reviews should realise what they are paying for. I will definately return in future.
Again for the price i paid nothing that i wouldnt have expected and was prepared to deal with. 1 thing only...we were disrupted by the man on receptionist at 9.30 on 1 of our nights stay while my 4 year old son was asleep...knocking and then opening the door of our room to come in apparently to check lights were off. Im willing to accept his explanation but its not something that i liked or felt was an adequate excuse or reason and it did make me somewhat wary and paranoid for the rest of our stay.

Very nice location near South Kensington metro station; pleasant area with bakeries, shops, restaurants etc.; friendly staff; room was cleaned every day together with towel change; kettle for water + tea, coffee etc. Very good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it :) !
