No cooked breakfast wasn't an issue, and there were complimentary continental items to choose from. Evening meal was good, but not an extensive menu; my Cajun chicken burger was cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed it! Great selection of refreshments too. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was vastly better than I anticipated (for essentially "a public house with rooms"); bed was super-comfortable, linen immaculate, and all facilities to hand. Great to have a fridge too, which I didn't expect. Overall the venue is great value for money, and I will be booking again soon when I return for work.

Wi-Fi in my room was near non-existent (R1) but I had plenty of mobile signal so just used my hot-spot, but fine in the pub downstairs. No big deal. Pub was way too hot for my liking, during dining, but I did sit inside when I could have sat outside, but I prefer some peace and quiet to use my laptop and outdoors was busy.

Great people - very friendly and welcoming. Simple but clean and comfortable accommodation. Characterful pub popular with locals of all ages. Above average food and beers (particularly Guinness). If you are going to Chorlton (or indeed Old Trafford - cricket or football) and want somewhere with a lot more to offer than the blandness of a Premier Inn, or similar, then go for the Bowling Green. And if you are there on a Saturday, and they are at home, take yourself down to watch some ‘proper’ local league football at nearby West Didsbury and Chorlton’s well attended ground.

Can’t fault it for the price.

Me and my partner loved everything about Bowling Green! Staff were really friendly, excellent food, lovely atmosphere, and such a great location. The room was super cosy and beautifully decorated (loved watching the squirrels from the window whilst drinking my morning cuppa). I really liked the approach to breakfast/snacks where it was available at all times (included in the price too). So, if you fancied a Pot Noodle or hot chocolate after midnight or some cereal, it was available. The local area was so inviting... We had a wonderful festive meal at the hotel then walked about two minutes to test out a few of the local pubs. To my surprise, there were plenty of bars, restaurants and shops (even a Co-op) on a very picturesque street (the Christmas lights and decorations proper gave us festive vibes). Overall, it is such a wonderful hidden gem and so glad we found it! Cannot wait to visit again!

The only thing I didn't like, was that we didn't stay there longer! Absolutely loved the place!

The location was perfect for us: close to Chorlton village with its many shops, bars and restaurants, not too far from the centre of Manchester, and right next to all the open space of the Mersey valley. The room was big and comfortable. Having a pub with good food downstairs is very convenient, and having a separate entrance to the accommodation makes coming and going out of hours much simpler.

The breakfast is a buffet of items which you then eat in your room. It's generous, so you won't go hungry, but it's not ideal. If you fancy something more substantial - or better quality coffee, there are plenty of places nearby.

The room was very spacious and very well equipped. They include a free continental breakfast snack/bar which is located outside the rooms (we knew this in advance) which has lots of fresh fruit, porridge post, cereal boxes, fresh milk, oatmilk, yogurts, tea/coffee sachets (a good few different teas) etc. The room also had a fridge with fresh milk in it (so nice not having UHT cartons!) and there was a basket full of sweet & /savoury biscuits, flapjacks and muffins. This was all included in the price of the room. Secure entry onto the floor where the rooms are, lovely friendly and helpful staff and we had a great meal in the bar on the ground floor before the fiddler music started up. It's a lovely place, so friendly and the bedrooms on the first floor were fantastic.

A very minor quibble is that it was hard to fill the kettle up using the bathroom sink as it was a full sized kettle. I used glasses provided to fill it up which was absolutely fine.

The bed was comfortable and large. The room was well maintained with lovely ensuite, with small shower gel and shampoo provided. There was a small fridge, kettle, fresh water in a bottle daily and many snacks. The continental breakfast was there to access at any time with a range of cereals, fruit, and other food. The pub below served a lovely tasty range of food. We would definitely return. In a quiet area with woodland across the road and beautiful streets nearby. Hotel parking has charging points if needed.

Nothing Note though the accommodation is accessed via outside metal steps (20 ish) so unsure about assessibility if mobility is an issue.

Lovely quiet room over a pub. Accommodation was excellent with big comfy bed in a nicely, modern decorated room with private shower. Tv, fridge, hairdryer, tea & coffee, biscuit basket, available in room. For breakfast you could help yourself to cereals, yogurts & fruit from a station in the hall or go out to a local restaurant 3 minutes away. Excellent stay. Great location.

Room was hot but I liked the fact they had fans in the room. A shelf or stool in the bathroom for your toiletries would be good.

Great setup and ideal location for travelling on business, parking at the rear was perfect and secure. Bar & restaurant had a great atmosphere plus the food was great and reasonably priced. Still nice and quiet in the evenings to not disturb sleep. The snack/breakfast bar is fantastic and everything you need to grab something when time is short. Good facilities in the room including a fridge which was ideal and shower pressure was excellent.

The TV didn't work in the room at all - No signal for any channels and didn't have any in-built services like YouTube, Netflix etc. The pillows aren't the best, very flat and feel like the only "cheap" thing in the room.

The location was excellent, the staff very attentive and although no cooked breakfast (which was explained when we booked) the choice of cold breakfast was extensive and excellent. (All included in the price too) The facilities in the room were also excellent and I would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family.

Nothing really, I suppose the only gripe would be that the soundproofing wasn't the best and could here people talking in another room, but once they were asleep not, it was fine and maybe they were just loud talkers haha

Location was great in Chorlton near Beech Road and High Street restaurants and pubs. Comfortable and spacious modern room, large bed and modern en-suite. Continental breakfast was included, and available anytime of day from the breakfast bar in the corridor.

Re-stocking the breakfast bar with fresh fruit was a bit delayed over the Bank Holiday weekend, but perhaps to be expected. Comfortable room, but a bit pricey as this was just a pub... but I guess it was suffering with "Manchester pride pricing"!
