On arrival staff were excellent in the processing of our arrival and booking. They provided interesting information for our stay. Any queries we had they were able to solve quickly. Breakfast was 8 to 9.30 for the weekend. Presentation was very good and service very quick. Evening meals on both evenings provided a quick and efficient presentation and great food quality. All staff worked well with each other. We didn't know at booking, but this is a J W Lees brewery establishment and as such serves real Ale. Excellent for me as I'm a CAMRA member. Accommodation was better than are recent Liverpool stay at the Pullman Hotel, which was in the King's Docks and classed as a luxury hotel.

The TV's are Chromecast functional, however they had not been set up for room use, which did cause annoyance. The service needs to be activated for customers use. This will become more and more requested from clients in the future.

From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay staff were smiling, warm, friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was super comfortable so we slept soundly. Great selection of food and drink at breakfast. Perfect location. The building itself is beautifully kept and decorated tastefully with a lovely garden to sit in. There's a bus stop right outside and it's only a short walk to the tram station.

Not a massive deal but while the shower was fine to shower in, I felt it was not powerful enough to rinse my long hair properly.

Great hotel, ground floor rooms to the left of reception have recently been renovated and are brilliant! Small-ish car park but always had a space, very good and fast WiFi. The restaurant was amazing with a great selection of food, all delicious, high quality and reasonably priced. Pleasant vibe and tastefully decorated. Definitely recommend a stay here, will use again if back in the area!

Some waiting staff could put a little more effort into smiling and being a little more welcoming. Proper double beds would be better in double bedrooms - two singles together make for an uncomfortable double...

Dave, the manager, was excellent with his hospitality! My repeated requests for top-ups of decaf tea and biscuits (winter cold) were met by being shown Aladin's treasure cave. Lol. Thank you. Sadly, I never got to have breakfast, so I can't talk about that. But! My family and I had dinner one night, and the food was very good and more than sufficient. Children and adults alike had good things to say about what they ordered.

The Wi-Fi didn't work for two or three days during my stay. It wasn't the hotel's fault, there was some trouble with cables in the area.

Exceeded my expectations yet again, I have stayed here 5 times now, each time in a different room with a different design. The rooms are always well furnished and ample room and very comfortable. Bathrooms are always very clean and never an issue with hot water! I like the fact that after a hard day at work I can saunter down to the bar for a quiet drink (& log fire burning away on cold nights). Every time I have asked the Barman what he recommends on the menu, and he has yet to let me down, the food is always exceptional and looks very classy too!

Very comfortable, clean, spacious and quiet room. For a 4 night stay, it fitted the bill. Close to the metro and walkable distance (15 mins) to Sale. Dinner at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.

No lift - bit of a problem if you've 2 heavy suitcases and your room is on the upper floor. The restaurant closed on Sunday at 7.30pm- we checked in just before 8pm! The bar also closed that night at 9pm, due to lack of customers.

The hotel bedrooms were very spacious, and equipped, with all modern facilities and spotlessly clean Breakfast is served in the main bar restaurant area and was a very good quality and the restaurant and bar are open in the evening for main meals and a drink. The food was a very good quality The staff from reception was very helpful and polite, the staff in the bar and restaurant were helpful and very good and attentive. We were a large party of friends staying for a wedding nearby and it was a perfect place to spend a couple of days.

we did not have any complaints of the hotel or service

The location was great for a short drive to Tatton Park. The rooms we had were comfortable and relatively spacious. The shower power was fantastic, probably better than my home! Iron and ironing board in the rooms was a great help. The hospitality was great - we felt so welcomed before we arrived, to the minute we left. I had to park somewhere slightly odd in the car park due to a party at the pub taking up most spaces, and rather than leave me wondering if it was OK someone came and sought me out to tell me it was and put my mind at ease (no one was on reception, and I wouldn't expect them to be 24 hours!). The food in the pub (not included) was really good. Again, the staff were so accommodating, and we were served quickly. The food was to a high standard; much better than expectations. The tea making facilities in the room were above average, and included a selection of tea bags, and nice biscuits (not cheap ones!).

The parking spaces were small, and I have a massive car (which I realise is my fault and choice). The rooms were really, really hot. Even though outside wasn't, we just couldn't seem to get any air moving around. Not sure if it was due to plumbing and water pipes heating up the rooms? My bedside lamp didn't work, and not all the sockets around the room worked. There were some that were a shape I didn't recognise as well, which made charging my phone at night slightly tricky.

Lovely old building with great internal decor. The room was spacious and luxurious for the price paid. Very friendly staff (especially the guy on reception) and an excellent breakfast. Enjoyed a couple of drinks in the nice beer garden to the front.

I had planned to eat there for dinner but found out at 7.05pm that they stop serving food (it was a Sunday) at 7pm which I thought was really early (usually this is 8 - 9pm most places?) - knowing this fact would have been appreciated on checking in as I had to go out in the end (which after walking 17 miles to get here I wasn't really pleased about at the time...!). It did say this on the room info. I saw later but I still found it an unusually early time to stop serving evening meals.
