I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at HolidayInn, especially Michael C and Joanne at the reception! You both were absolutely fantastic—so friendly, understanding, and always ready to help with a smile. From the moment I arrived with my wife and two children, you made me feel welcome and taken care of. Whether it was answering my questions or just having a nice chat, your warmth and professionalism stood out. It's not every day you meet such awesome people who truly love what they do! Thanks again for making my stay extra special. I’ll definitely be back! Best, Michael

All very clean everywhere, nice twin room, beds comfortable. Nice breakfast in morning with plenty available and parking was good. Hotel sent general details and parking details etc on the day of stay, so good to have this information sent to us in advance. Great location in centre of Newcastle, half a mile from the main station and only a mile from quayside. We were going to football match, also close to St James's Park
No major criticisms, a minor one would be the juices at breakfast tasted very diluted, not much taste at all. Would be nice to have proper juice, but other than that, breakfast was good

The staff were very friendly, especially the reception. A very warm welcome when arriving. Also, when leaving or entering the building, there was always a "hello." The breakfast catered for all dietary needs and was a help yourself style. A full English, cereal, pastries or just fruit. The location of the hotel was close to the train station and other forms of transport, restaurants, pubs/bars, cathedrals, etc. There was such a happy atmosphere around the area, having won the football and being St Patrick's Day. It was nice to share with the locals their happiness!
The toasters at breakfast time maybe could be updated as the toast took ages, even on full! Having another chair in a twin room as there was only 1 More than 2 teabags on arrival in the room as the coffee was fuller

Stayed a few times to explore the local attractions. Excellent location. The staff are 5 star, all friendly, helpful and extremely hardworking, a breath of fresh air! Rooms are very well soundproofed, such a peaceful sleep. Beds very comfortable and gorgeous cotton bedding. Impeccably clean throughout. Breakfast is fantastic. Great selection, all you can eat and absolutely delicious, you could sit there for hours. We love everything about this hotel but believe the staff team are what makes us return. Very well done Holiday Inn Newcastle!

The room was ideal, and it was v good value for money. The majority of the staff were lovely, really down to earth and happy to help and just chat!
I had an issue with the room temperature, and had to ask for some help adjusting it. The system wasn't v instinctive, three members of staff were at the desk when I went down. Two were so lovely, we joked about it and they said it was no trouble, the third was an older lady who had a face on her from the moment I said excuse me. She was so cold and had an attitude as if I was wasting her time. I'm a hotel manager myself and would be so embarrassed to see one of my receptionists acting like that to be honest, it gave such a cheap vibe. 10/10 to the other staff!!!

Our four-day stay at the Holiday Inn was a delightful family affair. The hotel's prime location, just a few walk through to the Utilita Arena, the discovery museum, and the train station, made our visit incredibly convenient. The buffet breakfast was a daily highlight, offering a fantastic variety that catered perfectly to our needs and our little ones' picky tastes. The friendly and attentive staff made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. It was a wonderful experience, and we're already looking forward to our next visit!
While we loved our time there, a fridge in the room would have been a welcome addition for longer stays, especially in the summer.

The location was perfect for the city centre - just a 5 min walk from central station/metro. The rooms had everything we needed including iron and board and was very spacious. The shower was powerful although tray was slippy and would benefitted from a shower mat. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the free phone in reception to phone for a taxi was a bonus. Breakfast was very good for the price although I would have preferred a fried egg! Overall excellent value for money and I would certainly recommend.
As mentioned above the shower tray was very slippy and needs a shower mat.

The room was very, very clean and as I have certain disabilities a high bed was excellent, as were the toilet and sink. I did have a problem with the tv that stopped working but it was sorted immediately.
The breakfast was a good selection but the hot selection of a cooked breakfast was not hot at all. The bacon, sausage, eggs and beans were warm at best, and this was at the time that the kitchen opened. I hadn't realised that there was not an option for an evening meal. I had thought that as there was so many chairs and tables there would be food to order, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

The rooms were really clean and comfortable and seemed as if they'd been recently refurbished. The bathroom was excellent with a really good mirror that didn't steam up and there was great lighting. Good products. Lots of great facilities and I liked the option of pillows. Temperature in the room was great, really very comfortable and we slept well. I liked that there was a tag for the door if you wanted to save energy and not have the linen changed. And a big shout out to the male member of staff who helped us both days find the perfect places to visit. He was a star. I hope he reads this and wanted to say Hi from all of us :)
Nothing - it was all really good.
