We stayed in a little building at the back of the engine in pub. It had 2 rooms 1 down and 1 up. We was upstairs. It was very cottage like on the inside. The room had a double bed and a double pull out sofa for the 4 of us. The room was very spacious. We stayed in the top room which the front door opens on to the garden with a kids park and the most amazing view of the country and lots of cows to see in the next field which was very beautiful. We booked with breakfast and we also ended up eating in the engine in for dinners too. The food was very tasty and deffinalty reasonably priced. Staff and customers in the pub were all very chatty and friendly, there's the car park opposite the pub to park if you drive too. Can't wait to return!! X

There's not anything to say really, my husband wasn't too keen on the couple of cobwebs in the room but they fitted in with the feel and style of the room

Fantastic rural location with beautiful countryside views but not too far from St. Ives or Penzance. Very friendly, cosy pub. We had a hearty evening meal and a full English breakfast in the morning. A large bedroom with plenty of storage. Ideal for disabled travellers. Very good value for money.

We stayed in the downstairs apartment but we could hear the family above walking around, the green fire exit lights were quite bright. Very tiny point but just needed spoons with the coffee and tea facilities. The disabled bathroom had a bit of mould on it. There is no Wi-Fi at the moment.

We loved that the accommodation was in a separate building out back. They had a live duo on in the pub that night (Saturday) and it was fantastic. They had board games for us to play in the inn. Breakfast was delicious and the accommodation was spacious. Staff were super friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.

My burger at tea wasn’t cooked properly but they fully refunded it and were very apologetic. There were some crumbs on the floor of the accommodation and the bathroom wasn’t super clean but it didn’t bother us for one night.

Quiet surrounding but lively pub. Friendly people and good hearty food at night. Breakfast was good as well. The room is big with a lot of character. Parking was easy and in general great stay and value for money.

There were couple of spiders - but it is expected in a converted barn probably. The sofa cum bed could use an upgrade but in general comfortable.

Anna was extremely welcoming and accommodating. We had challenges due to travel changes because of Storm Agnes. Anna helped with recommending somewhere for an additional night as they were full. Then put us an early dinner on, so we could still complete our plans. The food was exceptional and very good value for money.

The road outside is a challenge and I would support a claim for traffic calming as crossing to the car park can be an issue.

There was no WiFi which seems very odd in this day and age . It was advertised as such but there was no phone signal either which makes WiFi critical.. The web site has a very good menu on it and we were looking forward to an ice dinner. The reality however was pie, burger or scampi which was very disappointing. We wanted the squid and beetroot and squash wellington.

The food was home cooked not alot of choice there was about ten meals to choose from, the owners were very down to earth,, and friendly .dog friendly pub with locals who aswell were friendly, the room we stayed in was cosy and the bed was comfy the breakfast was hot and enough full English I am going to book again as enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere,also parking outside .

Being a sweet tooth I was wanting desert but they didn't do it but no other complaints

When we arrived the welcome from the the owners Anna and Brian was really warm,the place itself is full of character and cosy,I must make a remark about the food cooked by Anna wow i wish more eateries would follow her example excellant.Our sleeping area was huge and comfortable and great views outside.One last remark the local people who were in when we stayed were so friendly and made our stay even better,A big thank you from John,Gill,Ian

The staff were friendly. It was great to be able to get a meal on site. We were given a breakfast box as we were leaving early for the ferry to the Isles of Scilly, this was helpful. The location was lovely.

The accommodation was not clean in places, such as the shower, and there were repairs that could have been done, such as the curtain rail and missing lampshade.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Perfect location for overnight stay before travelling on to the Isles of Scilly. Dog friendly, which was a priority for us. A Breakfast Box was provided as we had to leave very early. Easy parking. Evening meal available on site, no need to travel elsewhere. We would stay here again.

There was nothing we would complain about.
