Very good location, nice rooms and spa. Helpful staff.

We booked with breakfast included. However we were told at breakfast this only included continental and anything cooked was extra. This is not acceptable - if you book with breakfast would expect a cooked breakfast when paying nearly 400 per night in a 4stat hotel.

Room v good, lucky to have 2nd room with bunk beds, a real bonus- more space to spread out. Great view. Reasonable walk to town, even in wet, windy weather. The staff were, without exception quite excellent. Breakfast was good, didn't realise that the English breakfast was extra. Considering the price we feel that a cooked breakfast should have been a no-cost option. Valet parking a bonus.

Considering the price we feel that a cooked breakfast should have been a no-cost option. But not entirely unexpected in this day and age. A couple of things that should be improved/fixed before the season really starts. The taps in the bathroom need tightening. Rubber mat needed in bathroom or shown as an option if requested, also possibly a grab handle over the bath for us oldies.

Location, views, staff were lovely. Spa facilities were very good

Unfortunately our fresh bedding had multiple dark hairs in it!…& a soiled pillowcase. Housekeeping was very good but did lack hugely on the hard floor surfaces. Tasty food & very accommodating to needs but evening meal & breakfast weren’t overly hot.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Harbour Hotel St Ives, staff friendly but some members of staff in the restaurant area were under stress and had to rush all the time. Possibly under staffed. The spa area was very pleasant.

The one area I did not like was the payment process, I booked via booking.com and paid £2065.00 prior to our stay. On final day in reception payment for the same amount plus extras was requested by the hotel. Pointed out I had already paid. Receptionist gave me an amended bill for the extras which I paid. On arriving home same day checked bank account to find that We had a futher payment of £2065.00 taken from our account. Receptionist contacted said she would rectify immediately, still waiting for the return of our money. The next customer in the queue to leave seemed to have the same problem.

Contemporary style decor. Continental breakfast included in room rate with various cooked options only £10 extra. Ricotta soufflé omelet particularity good. Restauraunt food and selection of wines very good. Staff approachable and competent - both front of house and housekeeping. Well kept hotel and spa. Handy location for Porthminster beach and bars/cafe’s. 15-20 minute walk to St Ives harbour and seafront depending on pace and direction.

Travelled by rail and it would have be useful for the path from the rail station to the hotel ( a choice of two possible routes) to have been signposted. We picked the wrong path up the hill which would have been treacherous in wet weather.. Room 116 is by the steps to the spa and looks out over the road but seaview rooms were not on offer at the time of booking.

Fantastic view over the bay. Large room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Nice to be able to the use the Spa facilities

Asked for a quiet room, and was perfect as far as internal noise (didn’t hear other guests/staff at all), but the window wouldn’t quite close and there was a seagull’s nest on the roof about 2m away - so the very early morning squawking was not appreciated. Not having easy access to the car - having to park outside the hotel and then hotel staff driving it down to a car park ( very steep steps to get to car) and having to give notice before be able to use the car

The parking was difficult but not a problem as we parked outside the hotel and the lovely staff parked our car for us. Our room was at the very top of the hotel (Rooms 403 and 404) so we did have to lug our cases up a final staircase as the lift only serviced the floors up the third floor bedrooms. All the staff were super friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room and hotel were very clean. The spa was lovely. We stayed for a wedding being held at the hotel and we had an amazing time!

It would have been nice to have had breakfast included in the price instead of having to pay extra for a full English or an omelette. Also two room keys for 2 people!

Take note that even if you book the breakfast beforehand you will need to pay extra for hot dishes (e.g. poached eggs or English breakfast), the choice of standard breakfast is mid: just some toasts with ham&cheese, 3-4 options for juice, some yogurts and pastries (everything runs out quickly and you have to query for toasts). Comparing to other hotels where hot dishes are included in breakfast this one was really frustrating. Also, the restaurant staff is not super friendly and could be rude sometimes

The service from all the "crew" was excellent from the time we arrived until our departure. The room was comfortable and had the essentials to make our stay pleasant, including completely gin & tonic, thats a first but much appreciated, no real view, but we knew that from the outset. Sea view room would be nice, but it was a last-minute booking so no problem. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice wether continental or cooked at extra cost, reasonably priced as well. Would we return, most definitely.

Didn't like the walk back from the town, all uphill. Thankfully, A1 taxis were very reasonably priced. This, however, didn't spoil our break.

What’s not to like, talk about location, location, location. Beautiful room, outstanding view. Staff so helpful. Reception, spa & breakfast team all delightful. I thought it was rather nice touch to be able to access spa facilities free of charge during stay. I made use of them. Lovely Gin in the bedroom. Bed super comfy, huge shower with lovely pressure. Towels fluffy. Nice products in bathroom. Robe & slippers for use in wardrobe.

Being very picky here as room fabulous, sockets all at low level, found kettle in wardrobe as far as I’m aware it didn’t say that anywhere. No USB dockets.
