Perfect location, with excellent links to St Ives via walking or by bus. Room was lovely and clean, and the host Sharon couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The breakfast was top notch every morning, with a nice selection available. And the coffee was excellent. We stayed in the main house so I can't comment on the cabins but they seemed cosy enough. In general the main positives were the wonderful host and the perfect location. Parking was pretty good too which if you visit that part of Cornwall in the summer you will realise how important that is. The room was nice and clean and the bed was massive and very comfortable.

The room was a little on the extra cosy side, but as you're not spending a huge amount of time in it, that really doesn't matter much at all. I think a lot of the room was taken up by the massive bed, which was only a positive after full days exploring the Cornish coast.

A good breakfast, clean accommodation, and bathroom was lovely. The location was also great about 1.5 miles to St Ives

We had to order our cooked breakfast items as there was no order form in the lobby. This was done by text via the booking.com message system. The breakfast was a bit rushed as they served breakfast between 08.00hrs - 09.00hrs, we found that before we finished our cereal, the cooked breakfast had arrived, nothing wrong with the breakfast just rushed. The hosts must understand that the customers are on holiday and don't want to be rushed through the most in important meal of the day

It was a well maintained property, with all the necessary equipment, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and overall heating and lighting to a very high standard!

There was nothing we didn’t not like about the B & B in general. We will be staying here again next year and would thoroughly recommend this property to all potential future clients.

Sharon and her Partner were excellent and very welcoming. B&B is excellent, great breakfast and very clean with good standard of rooms. The property is very well kept and superb value for money. Carbis Bay beach short walk away. We would definitely stay again which says it all really.

The location was fine for us both but you are approx 30 minutes walk from St Ives. There is a bus stop outside which takes you into St Ives which makes transport easy and a taxi back was approx £8-10 for us during our stay. Some people might find the location an issue with the long walk into St Ives from the B&B. We did 20,000 steps every day which we like but that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Me & my girlfriend stayed in the cabin, for the second year in the row. We absolutely love staying here - Sharon is lovely, the location is perfect, the house is clean and the breakfast is really nice too. I couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough.

The only slight issue with the property is the WiFi connection in the cabin, maybe a connection booster could be installed in the cabin which will enhance the WiFi speed. WiFi is perfect inside the house, it’s just in the cabin that the connection jumps in and out. Obviously this isn’t a deal breaker, but just an idea!

lovely sea view from our room. so many lovely and beautiful sandy beaches in the area that you would not believe that you're actually in the UK. good choice of breakfast. I enjoyed my omelette. our room was huge, we had nice decent biscuit and teas/coffees in the room, the bathroom was very nice and clean. there is parking in the property, 10mns walk to the beach and can easily take the bus (if you don't want to drive to town St Yves (only 7mns on bus and you don't have to worry about parking etc.)

Gorgeous B&B. We stayed in the cabin, which was a good size with excellent facilities, a really comfy bed, a good shower, tea, coffee, biscuits and water in the fridge. Close to St Ives, bus right outside, good restaurants around and close to the beach. A huge breakfast which I couldn't do justice to, cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt, croissants, toast and lots of tasty cooked options. Our hosts were lovely, kind and helpful. Thank you so much.

Excellently situated for local transport, Bus stop opposite the B&B for travelling to St Ives and the train station was about a 10 minute walk. Excellent breakfast to set you up for the days adventures, Sharon and Phil where very knowledgable about the area and suggested places to go for food and drink and areas to visit. Parking at the B&B is also a big plus.

We are unable to say anything that we did not like about our stay at Downsfield if Sharon and Phil could have arrange for a bit more sunshine then thats all we could have asked for.

We stayed in the cosy cabin really good size bed. Good shower. Peaceful Fantastic location near amazing beach. Train station within walking distance to St Ives. Good Spanish restaurant opposite. Lovely couple who own it and the lady Sharon owner gave us good advice on where to go . The breakfast was the best we have had such great choices We had a fantastic honeymoon we will return again .

It's a stone away from the bus stop. The lovely couple allowed us to check-in early with no questions. The food and service were excellent. Easy transfer to Carbis Bay to St. Ives and walkable to Carbis Bay station. If you are strong enough, you can walk from the property to St. Ives for 40 mins. They have also Cabins available. It is accessible to costcutter and tesco. The room was comfortable with all the basic amenities.
