The location is perfectly situated by the RSC and the hub of Stratford. The food is superb, the ambience of the bar after a show is perfect & the bar management and staff so friendly. The car parking is super.

The only issues we had was the air conditioning in our room couldn’t be turned down or off. And the plug in the amazing bath was faulty. Oh and when asked a reasonable question about our tariff the two reception staff seemed to resent the fact the fact that we’d got such a fantastic deal on Booking and mentioned it rather loudly several times almost like they were trying to humiliate us. It certainly felt that was the intention.

Great staff, perfect location for the Shakespeare theatre (across the road) and easy access to the rest of Stratford, plenty of parking. Good breakfast. Large room and huge well appointed bathroom.

The hotel decor/carpets were a little tired. We were warned not to sit on one of the sofas in the bar as it was 'broken'. Why had it not been removed if it was broken? In the otherwise magnificent bathroom, the shower door seal was hanging off and there was black mould in the cubicle. I am always disappointed to see this as a small dose of 'Cillit Bang black' or 'Grotbuster' left on the mould for 5 minutes will remove it.

Location close to theatre and comfortable facilities. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We had one evening meal which was a pre theatre menu which was beautifully presented and cooked

Nothing in particular to be negative about. The building is a listed property so anyone visiting with mobility problems may find access a challenge. There are many stairs and no lift due to the listing status of the building. Every effort has been made to offer a Stannah- type lift to the restaurant though and everyone was eager to help. Unfortunately I left 2 books in our room when we left - entirely my fault - and I rang a few hours after departure to check if the cleaning staff had handed them in. The receptionist said she would check and ring back but unfortunately I never was called back. I infer that the cleaners had presumed that the books were for disposal but it would have been nice to have a call back to confirm

Excellent central location and very spacious , comfortable well appointed deluxe room with first class bath and shower facilities . Convenient secure parking. Attractive outside space ( in good weather) . Friendly helpful, restaurant staff .

Because of its age the hotel is spread out with long corridors including unavoidable stairs and narrow convoluted access. The acoustics in the Brasserie restaurant were poor. It was too noisy with conversations from other tables readily intruding . Breakfast service was patchy and slow . I was not offered toast and had to request butter when it did arrive. Scrambled eggs on one morning were not hot . An additional charge for parking was not welcome nor the "optional" service charge added to the B&B bill .

Staff were very helpful and supportive. Great location with parking in Stratford. Breakfast was good. They arranged flowers, chocolates and a card for my wifes special birthday

This is the second time we have stayed, but the beds must uncomfortable and hard. The hotel did supply an extra duvet which helped. However, a small supply of memory foam toppers for those needing a softer bed would be very welcome. I think a must for such a good quality hotel. We stayed in the hotel for our special birthday dinner which was very poor indeed. The vegetables were alive and kicking..not edible, potato was tasteless and my meal was lukewarm. This really spelt our celebrate. On a plus note the manager was very helpful and sorted out the bill accordingly. Another positive was that the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. .

Located opposite the RSC Theatre in the heart of the town with it's own private car park. Plenty of places close by to explore on foot. So park up and forget about the car for a couple of days. There are many excellent eateries close by catering for all budgets. We stayed in the Cedar Room which was large and nicely decorated. Complimentary tea, coffee, water, biscuits, nibbles, fruit etc. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The bathroom was very spacious, with both a bath and double shower cubicle. The toiletries were very nice and lots of them. We didn't run out, which is the case at many hotels we have stayed at! Breakfast was cooked to order and was of a high quality. All of the staff were attentive, polite and approachable.

Paying for parking when staying at the hotel.

Car parking easy and we could leave the car there after checkout while we went to the theatre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious and full of variety. Accomodation warm and comfortable Location amazing for access to theatre , restaurants and town centre

Public areas for sitting a little on the cool side for a cold December day. They were getting ready for Xmas so were moving the sofas to another room so we had to move. Not a big issue as our room was warm and comfy and the orice we laid reflected that ‘between seasons’ time. Advantage was hotel very quiet . Tea and coffee making stuff hidden in a cupboard so we had to hunt it down and then move it to the desk!

Superb location. Friendly welcome. Nice room. Excellent breakfast Good tea & coffee + in room Excellent full English breakfast

A little "frayed" round the edges TV remote missing Curtains coming off rail. Bulb over make up mirror not working Appalling pillows "Inexperienced" staff at breakfast continually walking past and ignoring build up of used crockery.. No teaspoon with cups on table as usual. No explanation of breakfast "process". I went for a wander and found the cereals/ juice/ toast. Vegetarian breakfast disappointing with potato/ vegetable croquettes rather than decent sausages.

Location, quality of bed linen, bathroom size and toiletries.

Whilst the cooked breakfast was done to perfection, there wasn’t a fish choice. I’m fond of a kipper or smoked haddock, which is perfect if you don’t want a heavy start to the day. Also, on leaving, we were asked if we wanted to pay an optional service charge. It surprised us. Apart from breakfast we didn’t eat or drink in the hotel. We said no; our preference is to thank, and tip, specific housekeeping and/or serving staff who look after us. Other guests may welcome knowing this question will be asked.

Our bedroom was very comfortable with a big bathroom. There was a bath as well as a separate shower and plenty of shelf space. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was excellent. The Arden is very convenient, just opposite the theatre and very close to the town centre. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely come here again.

Our very big bathtub unfortunately didn't have a shower to rinse my hair so I had to get out and go in the separate shower. Breakfast was good but not extensive. A few other bread rolls would have been nice, not just toast (made ourselves) or croissants.
