Lovely room, big windows and lots of light! Very comfortable and lots of space. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and varied, which was fab. I was able to park at the property to avoid disc charges, which was a relief as it’s a confusing system! My stay was easy, comfortable and relaxing. Thank you!

My only niggles were that the bath looked like it needed a bit of tlc (just a touch up on sealant, nothing major) and I couldn’t work out how to adjust the main blinds in the bedroom; I could open and close them, but could not rotate them to maintain some privacy while still letting light in!

The room was spotless l, the staff were amazing, the breakfast was amazing. Felt very welcome. Gardens were amazing

There is nothing I didn’t like however there were few cosmetic things that could be improved. The bathroom door didn’t close or lock, the clock in room had stopped, the toilet roll was just on the floor no holder. The bar was advertised on booking as open but we were told is wasn’t opening the night of our stay. However the owners brother and friends were situated in the bar and were very loud until after 11pm.

Made to feel very welcome, staff all very friendly. They also made a fuss of my dog and cooked him sausages for his breakfast. I did not ask for that, they just brought a plate when they brought mine! Nothing particularly fancy about the Hall Park, just very comfortable, warm, clean and friendly. Food is excellent. Without doubt I would stay again and I certainly recommend it without hesitation. Loved my stay!

I was lucky that I was able to park at the hotel, the limited parking might be an issue for some.

Friendly & helpful staff. Convenient location

Needed more staff at breakfast. Cereal jars almost empty when we arrived for breakfast and no bowls. Also orange juice jug empty. Don’t mind waiting for cooked breakfast but would have been nice to have cereals in the meantime. Went to the kitchen to ask for bowls in the end but didn’t like to ask staff to fill up cereals as they looked so busy so only had one choice. Guests arriving after us also had to go into the kitchen to ask for cereal bowls. Cooked breakfast was excellent.

Have stayed here on several occasions and always found it a great place to stay in Workington. Very friendly staff - made to feel very much “at home”. Lovely clean, well decorated, well co-ordinated comfortable rooms. Super food. Friendly bar where locals mingle well with guests. Lovely garden to sit in when weather is good. Great location for town centre.

Only one tiny niggle / suggestion. Perhaps better quality paper table napkins could be used.

Location was beautiful,our room was lovely staff were really friendly and helpful and the owner was super friendly and so helpful! The breakfast had a menu for all tastes ,you could pick and choose ,the English breakfast was delicious and good sized portion! The Hotel is opposite a huge park which was beautiful,it was lovely and quiet and perfect for us! I highly recommend this hotel!

Very clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast. It seems that the hotel has been renovated recently and the owners have invested into making it very cosy and inviting.

We had a twin room and the single beds felt very small, shorter than usual. Also, the hotel only has 3 parking slots, which are occupied if you don't check in the morning. Otherwise you have to park on the street and display the disk which only allows parking for an hour. Which means you cannot leave the hotel area too far as you would need to update the parking disk every hour and potentially move the car to avoid penalty. Except those 2 elements, the hotel is very clean and a good choice for a short stay.

I was suprised how lovely this hotel was. The room was big, lovely decorated and clean. The bed was so comfy. With it been self check in didn't see staff only for breakfast and they where both lovely. Breakfast was beautiful. The mushroom bendict eggs where to die for. View from our room was lovely looking over hall park. Outside the hotel was lovely as well. So glad we stayed here. In prime location to everything. Would defiantly recommend for people to stay here great value for money. Thank you for having us

Well located, opposite the park and a short walk to the town centre. Good breakfast and evening meal options. Very helpful staff. Room was ok size and had everything needed for a short stay.

The off-road parking is a bit of a lottery - the available space can do 3 cars at best, vs many more rooms. On-road parking is a disc parking system (so bring/get a disc!) and quite restrictive during day time. The room wasn't serviced, so really it's a B&B level rather than a hotel. Not a problem, once you know.

Hall Park Hotel is a lovely old building within walking distance of the centre of Workington. It is located across from a nice, spacious park. The outside areas of the building are full of wonderful flowers that were in full bloom when we arrived. We needed somewhere secure to store our bikes overnight and the owners were very accommodating. The rooms were modern, clean, very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent in terms of both variety and quality. Workington was a very pleasant surprise, certainly not what I expected.

Not really a dislike but more of an observation - the self check-in threw me initially but it was just me over-complicating things.
