Boutique hotel on the beach and literally steps away from downtown restaurants, playgrounds, and other amenities. Closed to hiking/biking trails. Large suites with nice vistas. Great onsite amenities: nice pool area, great breakfast, fire pits, onsite mini market (snacks, sodas, alcohol), onsite games: mini golf, large checkers, corn hole. Friendly hotel staff. Easy access to Pismo beach and Morro Bay. In summary: Our new favorite family hotel; We already booked our next stay!

Small pool towels, room was a bit dated. Mattress sofa bed wasn’t the best. But any of the above were minor things that didn’t really bother us much.

The location of the hotel is PERFCT if you looking for a beach holiday. The staff and amenities were great.

On more than one occasion we went to reception and there was nobody there - never experienced this in all our travels. On checkout we waited quite a while to be let into the lobby as all the doors were locked and nobody responded to the bell or knocking on window. We even called from the room. We did mention on checkin that we are doing a VERY early check out and it was "noted" .... Could you please ensure your reception staff are visible. There's NO reason guests should be left waiting.

Breakfast is always enjoyable, the location of the hotel is what brings us back. Our conceirage who we met upon arrival was amazing, first time offered things like beach chairs and such which was a nice surprise.

The room was dark, maybe because of it behind a bottom floor. The ac would not go below 73 and the room just felt stuffy, we did not report this since it wasn’t unbearable and we had spent most of our day outside anyways. The guests above us were banging/dropping things in the floor constantly it seemed like but luckily stopped once it was time for bed.

Avila Lighthouse is one of our most favorite places to visit and each time we are not disappointed. The overall atmosphere and experience is perfect for a great getaway. We especially love that we can walk to downtown in less than 5 minutes to grab lunch or dinner. It’s close enough to go to the wineries in Paso Robles for the day and end up to watch the sunset. A perfect place for couples or families. Lots to do for everyone!

Very spacious rooms and comfortable rooms for a family of 4, the outdoor terrace and views were great! Breakfast is included and not just continental type, so that saved us money every morning. The pool was never crowded so it was nice to always get good seats. The beach is amazing and literally steps away.

Wish they had more snacks in the lobby to buy because the closest market is about a 12 min drive and the town shops close very early.

Breakfast was very good, although we would prefer oatmeal instead of the instant oatmeal. The young mam who checked us in was so polite, helpful & informative. We also liked the gentleman who checked us out. You have great employees.

As I said above, my only complaint would be the oatmeal & that’s not such a big deal that we wouldn’t go there again. The location is perfect. We love the central coast! We do usually go to Pismo where the motels tend to be quite a bit cheaper.

Love the property it was definitely beautiful and well kept by the staff. The guests on the other hand would leave their trash everywhere which I thought was sad since the scenery was so beautiful at the location. My favorite was all the amenities there were for the children.

Did not like the amount of tiny spiders that were constantly all over us while sitting outside. Also was not a fan of the super soft pillows. There was no variety.

Clean, friendly, comfortable spacious rooms

Need to have gluten free options at breakfast - compared to other places we have stayed - this was a disappointment - gluten free bread, more variety of fruit eg blueberries etc would have been better. A yoghurt, banana, apple (cut up with a plastic knife) with scrambled egg (not a good combo!) was the only choice. Given attention to detail elsewhere - this could be improved.

I LOVED EVERYTHING We definitely be coming back. The views were amazing from our second floor room overlooking the ocean, yoga in the morning is what made me absolutely happy, breakfast made my kiddo and husband happy, everything was great. And our room was so clean!!! Special Thanks to Tammy - an amazing yoga instructor ❤️

The property is located directly across from the beach, a park and a small aquarium. There is a pool/hot-tub as well as fire pits, a small putting green, lawn checkers and corn hole. Board games can be checked out in the lobby and they even loan out beach equipment. This place is perfect for kids and parents alike!
