It’s the most affordable accommodation close to Point Loma, Old Towne, & the convention center. I last stayed here in 2017 and there have been huge improvements as far as comfort and overall safety. The rooms weren’t 5 star cleanly, it’s a 2 star motel. I’m pretty sure I had an interaction with every front office employee - don’t put your room key Mex to your smart phone, deactivates super easily - and every employee treated me with kindness and respect. Michael is the only one I can remember by name, he was very professional and helpful when I extended my stay. I never saw an employee just chilling being unproductive, it’s visible the housekeeping staff was trying to make miracles in a 4 hour window between checkout and new guest check in. I was in the back building first floor and had no issues with noise from the Highway or guests above me.
Since it was a heat wave, there were tons of guests taking advantage of the pool to cool off. Which I guess isn’t a negative, but would’ve been nice to have some time in the jacuzzi without a bunch of kids having a blast haha. Also some of the other dog owners weren’t responsible about picking up after their pet, that wasn’t cool

I like the feel like family feeling you get from the people that work there as well as the people staying there and there is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi and laundry facilities as well as vending machines for snacks and sodas and micro waves to heat up foods.
The parking lot on one side of the complex is a little small for the amount of parking places available. It gets hard to drive through the one side due to parking on both sides it doesn't really make room for driving through even for one direction. Sometimes you can't even get through or out of your parking spot without backing into another car . I think there should only be parking on one side of that alley and traffic should only go one way through it. That is really the only thing I dislike about ez 8

Not to much to say negatively with my stay here at EZ 8 Motel. Location is terrific for anyone person visiting San Diego. Sweet very close to all trains planes trollys and transit. The staff and manager along q the security guard here on the property at night are very kind caring and willing to work with you. Having a pool is great and best was a warm Jacuzzi. I liked the fact there was on site laundry along with a microwave and food vending machines and to be honest the choices in drinks and food variation was wonderful. There is also a refrigerator in the rooms. So good job

The room was actually very nice and clean and they had hot water that worked very well and quickly. I feel bad for the people who own it location wise, it's near a bus station, so on the front it looks like they get a lot of homeless or sketch people, but the workers do their best to make you feel safe. I felt fine personally, because ive seen them around the whole city of San Diego. I think San Diego is becoming a bit like LA in that sense.
The ac in room 264 wasn't blowing cold air so I think that just needs to be fixed

The receptionist was joyful and really professional. She had good customer service qualities for what could be considered a low end booking from other places of business.
The outside of the room was not clean. I saw beer cans less than 2 feet from the corner of my door. What made it worse was there was a maintenance crew that talked amongst themselves downstairs, who happened to be in my way moving my things up the stairs. The neighbors had sex but it didn't last that long, all the little hurrah, Oh, and squeaky moans. It was just Ted testing the bed over Amy.

The staff and rooms are very comfortable. I think my favorite staff members are the young man named Micheal , the two young women of color I'm not sure what their names are but they are twin sisters I think batista and not sure about the other ones name either and then there is my favorite maid and she is another woman about my age to which we have alot in common which is a nice feeling these days at my age. Especially when you are staying in a motel.
The potty was a little rickety but not bad.

Very close to the airport and, parks and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I faced some issues and everything resolved quickly.
It would be great to have access to coffee machine and stuff like that, I understand that because the low income people that sometimes stay here, it’s hard to have them in the rooms but maybe in the laundry room or something

I did not expect too much about this property, but to tell you honestly it exceeded my expectations. The hotel needs an update but for the price its the best especially if you have pet.
Pet friendly with NO Pet fee, location is not too far from all San Diego attractions. I just hopef that the internet can be just in-house and that you don't need to pay for it separately

Coming from a big city with people doing crazy things around you on the daily, this honestly made us feel right at home. There was a lady standing in the middle of the street mooning oncoming traffic and we were checking in- probably the highlight of my entire stay! Staff was nice and helpful- room was clean:) I thought my bathtub had blood in it but it ended up being rustic markings in the ceramics of the tub. I'd stay again!
