Very kind and courteous staff both at the front desk and at the door. Housekeeping is exceptional! I will definitely be staying at the Grand Hyatt in S.F. when I go again. Amenities were great. Fast WiFi, lots of different kinds of lights inside the room, TV with Chrome-cast for you to stream from apps like Netflix directly from your personal device, AC, electronic window covers that you can adjust from the comfort of your bed. There are Great views of San Francisco from the Country Club , your room and the Gym area as well. This is a great location for those who don’t have a car as the hotel is located close to a lot of trains, bus stops, etc. making it very easy to get around the city using public transit. Not to mention that the famous Market and Powell cable car turnaround point and Chinatown can be accessed within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. It was also easy to get from SFO to the hotel using the Bart. The only downside is that there is no pool but nevertheless I would rate this a 10/10 and would highly recommend this place. I was charged a so-called "destination fee" but got nothing for it. It was just an excuse to inflate the bill above the posted room rate. Also, disappointed that the hotel did not provide free coffee/tea in the morning. Not asking for a full breakfast, but not even a cup of coffee for $300/night?

Could hear the neighbour talking al night through the additional door of the room.

I had been working with Elaine at the Concierge Desk for weeks planning my stay. It was our 13th anniversary and I wanted to make it memorable. Elaine was wonderful! We corresponded mostly via email. A few times we spoke via phone. Bottom line, she coordinated the dozen roses I requested in addition to the rose petals that were made in the shape of a heart. My wife was blown away by how thoughtful I was in planning our anniversary getaway. However, it was Elaine’s amazing skills that pulled it off. Upon arrival, I went to the desk to thank her personally, but unfortunately she wasn’t there. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to Elaine and her world class customer service. Beautiful facility and well kept. Modern and clean. Everything worked.

Dining options were either non-existent or not what I was expecting. It may have just been me but a bar and a breakfast buffet was all that was presented. I was looking for a dining venue that was more varied. Also a mini-convenience store there or nearby would have been nice. We are looking forward to another visit to see if it changes. It may only have been the SF downfall that has taken its toll on the hotels at Union Square.

Hotel is in a perfect location for Union Square, Chinatown and the Moscone Center. Lots of rideshares available at all times for other areas. Room was great, spacious with a lovely view and well cleaned. Breakfast was delicious and the to-go continental option was very useful.

Not much to be honest! If I had to say something, the room doors did not keep out external noise as much as I would have liked, but it wasn't too bad.

Location and view of skyline was exceptional. My boys loved the fitness centre while my niece and her boyfriend loved the Hotel Bar

We were here to see the SF Giants game and were bummed that we could not see any of the pregame hype or watch part of the game as we got ready to go to the ballpark. The Hotel Bar tried to help us but they could not give us any sound. Instead we had to take in the NY Yankees vs Boston Red Sox game in our room as we got ready. While this is a great game, it does nothing to help get local excitement going. We are in San Francisco so can we see the local team play?

The buffet breakfast was delicious but a bit pricey. The bed was very comfortable The lobby is gorgeous with all kinds of amazing artwork and 2 huge fire places The location was great. Easy to walk around or get to public transportation and cable cars Timothy had he bellman was wonderful friendly and helpful. He gave us great tips on off the beaten path places to visit like sales force park The concierge service was great especially the lady with glasses and grey hair pull back in a French braid

It would’ve been nice to have a comfortable chair to sit in in more lighting

The staff was extremely accommodating, and friendly, the valet personnel was super customer service-oriented. The location was next to a few places that were opened late if you had a late-night craving. The room itself with the view of the bay is highly recommended. Nice views directly over Pier 39, the Ferris wheel, and Alcatraz if you're into that kind of thing!

There's not much I didn't like. They only had valet parking services which was 85 dollars a night so be prepared for that! The cafe hours are limited so food at the actual hotel is very limited. Other than that, I'd stay here every where when I go back to SF.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. At the concierge desk, we posed a question about how to find the cable car stop and use that system. We received a marked up map, great verbal instructions, and wishes for a great day trip. We left with a big smile! The bell hop was super helpful when I asked him in the lobby where I could find the nearest ice machine. He cheerfully said "follow me!" as he was already headed up to an upper floor. He stopped on my floor (the 6th), pointed me to the exact location of the machine, and waited until I had turned the right direction and then wished me well! Numerous times, the door attendants opened doors for us, greeted us cheerfully, and got us pointed in th right directions for our day adventures. Every one of these interactions set the tone for our stay and we are thankful for the experience. Keep up the great job...we will se you again :-)
