I very much liked the hotel's location within very short walking distance to the SFO airport train station and Union Square. The San Francisco cable car is literally around the corner at the end of the building and the tram station is behind the block. When it comes to convenience, Hotel Abri Union Square is unbeatable. There also several eateries nearby. The reception team was warm and welcoming and the room was comfortable and clean. Wi-Fi was great, although you have to connect afresh every time you return to the room. The welcome gift tote bag with a bottle of wine was the most pleasant surprise.

Toiletries were not regularly replenished and I had to specifically ask for them one morning. On checking in I requested my room to be cleaned daily (without replacing bed linen a towels - I consider myself an environmentally conscious traveller but don't like an uncleaned room), but it wasn't made up at all one of the days. I wasn't happy with that. An apology was offered when I expressed my unhappiness.

Location close to shops and restaurants, very good value for money, rooms were clean and nicely decorated.

Reception staff although accommodating lacked warmth and did not seem very welcoming. I can't recall seeing them smile. Also I was not happy to be asked to pay 300 USD fo each for the 6 rooms that I booked thru Booking.com. it's the first time I've been asked to do that. And then when I expected to get my deposit back after check out I was told dismissively that it will take 10 to 15 days to be credited to back to my account! When I booked i was not informed that a deposit is required.

Went to see a show at Golden Gate theater and a ball game. Cute hotel. We stayed in a suite, I slept on sofa bed and surprisingly had the best night sleep ever according to my Oura ring. They serve coffee in the morning, that is all, but right across the street, is this little shop that sells coffee and bagels and things like that. So that’s convenient. Had to wind our way through the homeless on our way back from Golden Gate Theatre, though. Went to John’s Grill for dinner, old historic place. Quite delicious. We got valet parking to save us a headache, but I do see a parking garage several blocks away.

It was expensive, but what do you do when you’re in San Francisco?

This is the second time i stay at Abri! Highly reccommended as its located at the best area of San Francisco. Every single shop just a step away! Not only, all kind of restaurants , cafes are just a step away. High end brand shops like Louis Vuitton and Chanel are also a 3 minute walk! Customer Service at the reception gave us the best experience as they were always helpful and whilling to answer any questions. Also we were given a goody bag upon arrival! A bottle of wine , nachos and 2 bottles of water in a nice hotel backpack. Would definately choose Hotel Abri again when in SF. All kind of transportation to get around the bay area is just a step away! Looking forward to visiting again!

Carpets and furniture a bit old.

Great hotel off the main Market Street in downtown San Francisco. Very central to main attractions and public transport. Clean and tidy. Good bed and pillows. Quiet. Nice reception area to sit and plan things.

Water saving initiatives mean that shower heads and sink taps are a bit weak. The hotel takes a security pre-authorisation of USD 500, which is high given that there is no hotel bar, restaurant or room mini-bar at the hotel to settle on check-out (these authorisations can take a while to clear in the US).

The hotel is well located, close to Market St and the Convention Center. It is clean, the rooms are fairly sized, the amenities are ok.The staff is very helpful and friendly. I have stayed there many times and will come back whenever I will be back in San Francisco.

Faster wifi would always help. There is an option for faster wifi but it is paid and I did not want to do it. The standard is ok for email and news reading.

Location was perfect for our week long stay. We didn't rent a vehicle, so having the Metro stations 1 block away was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet, for the most part. A few blocks away are quite a few homeless, but Never had Any issues, or felt unsafe. I recommend this hotel for the location and comfort.

No microwave. Usually have leftovers from meals, but no way to reheat in one's room.

The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was good, and the overall ambiance of the room was great.

The shower looked like it had been missed, there was some hair and a label from a shampoo bottle. The main front desk attendant was very distant, almost hostile. I didn't see him smile once. The rest of the staff was perfect, and more than made up for him. Your cleaning staff is great, with the exception of the one miss.

Clean, quiet rooms and very comfortable bed provided great nights sleep! Shower was perfect! Remote control for heater/cooler makes for easy temperature control of room! Nicest helpful front desk employees! Locked front door for safe access which front desk employees also monitor so hotel feels safe and secure!

Location is brilliant. I felt safe in the city. There is some homeless issues in San Francisco, but I did not feel unsafe at all. So you will see a few people, but this did not impact may stay. Price was brilliant, staff where great. I had to pay for early check in. I know others have been given this free, but I didn't mind paying as we where very early, so I thought they were really accommodating ! We where also given a nice welcome bag - which I was not expecting !!!!

No issues !!! Was fantastic !
