Easily walkable to the train station and cable cars to connect to other parts of the city. Lots of restauratns and china town nearby. Felt safe. Room was simple, but all as expected. Mattresses were surprisingly comfortable. Wifi was very good. Parking costs extra but it was the cheapest parking rate by a lot that we saw while walking around nearby.

The pillows were pretty sad. Very flat and only one pillow each given. I wish there were a couple of pillows provided, like a thin one and a fluffy one.

The property is in an ideal location and feels very safe. The front door is locked and requires buzz-in, but the staff is very prompt about letting you in. The rooms are extremely quiet.

The hotel furnishings and amenities are very old and out of style. The shower water takes a long time to heat up, and all the furnishings are scratched or old. The toilet didn’t work at first, and we had to manually lift the tank open and adjust the pump whenever we needed to flush the toilet. For the price, we didn’t expect luxury, so we’re okay with it, and we would still stay here again.

We really enjoyed our week at Hotel Amari. The room was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were ideal. The shower was always hot no matter what time you need it. The TV worked. There was a little fridge to keep things cold. The location is perfect for most tourists. There was a good ice machine and vending machine. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The staff were sometimes absent from the desk early in the morning.

Receptionist was great and supportive. Overall facility is a simple one with no frills but is decent for a couple of nights. Rustic touch with interiors which I liked a lot! Access to key areas like union square or cable car stops which are a very short walk from the hotel! Very good location.

No room service which meant I had to come down for everything including to get a heater for my room since the existing one has limitations to its functionality. My biggest peeve was water. There is no drinking water provided in the room. Hope the hotel is able to provide atleast 1 bottle or a water station. It gets annoying to run outside for water time and again. Overall not really a problem but some areas of improvement.

There is no parking on site, there is a parking garage nearby they partner with that allows you to park for $42 a day.

Cleanliness, bed was comfortable, location is perfect, one has a sense of security. Decor was warm and inviting, like a pleasant vintage feeling. Hotel was quiet and calm.

The hotel was more concerned with giving their customer only one coffee serving than making the customer happy by giving him 2 or 3 servings for the morning. The shower towels were small and cheap. The TV lacked the ability to access Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Max like the hotel's competition do.

The room was as appeared online and the bed comfortable. It was great to have a mini-fridge as we did heaps of walking so needed cold water storage. The bathroom decor was a little old however perfectly functional. The staff at reception were friendly. We found the location and the room to be really quiet at night and had no issues with noise. We loved the location - a short walk to Union square, coffee places, a small supermarket, and a liquor store. The location felt really safe and I would have been comfortable staying here alone had I not been traveling with my partner. The cost of staying here was extremely reasonable compared to many other hotels in the area.

There were no issues so great that we would not go back in the future. If I had to name some things it would be: poor shower pressure. The fan provided in the room which was quite noisy when first starting up however did provide some relaxing white noise after a while. The TV remote which did not work and the advise we were given when we called down to reception which was to try changing channels manually - this felt a little bit like reception couldn't be bothered with the issue - we just didn't watch TV. The lack of touristy like pamphlets at reception - there were quite a few but nothing really exciting or useful - like a map of San Francisco attractions or information about how to use the public transport system,
