Just a quick trip overnight to see Michelle Wolf at Cobb's Comedy Club. The hotel is beautiful; the staff is friendly and professional. Our room was lovely, and we had a city view. The toiletries smelled good, and the bed was very comfortable, with excellent pillows. Ok, this is going to sound ridiculous and obviously it isn't a critical amenity... but I really loved the TV remote, lol! When you push the buttons, they feel like there's a click, but it doesn't really make a sound. It felt well-made. It was best TV remote I've ever used lol!! I wish I had taken a picture. I was also surprised at how quickly the parking valet brought our car.

I don't like all the extra resort charges and nickel-and-diming. Just include everything in the price. We didn't use any other facilities besides the room to sleep.

Pricey and including a 20% gratuity on an already expensive meal at a bar in an already expensive hotel seems out of line. Im already a good tipper and I’d like to be the one determining the value of the individual servers. I believe they will be better at their job if the want to make more money.

This was our second time staying at the Hotel Nikko - the first was 14 years ago. This four-night stay was just as excellent as the last time. The property is lovely and the staff are all gracious. The rooms are quiet and spacious, and we had a great view on the 17th floor. The bed is comfortable. The pool is wonderful! We wished we could have spent more time there. The refillable water bottles in the room are thoughtful, as is the water filter in the hallway. I'm so glad we didn't stay at a big chain.

Only thing is that we had to pay $50 to check in early, even though a room was available.

Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I travel a lot for work, and only stay in 4-5 star hotels (usual chains Hilton/Westin/etc.), and this is the best of them all. Room/food/service/cleanliness/location…all perfect. I did pay extra for an executive suite, with an adjoining twin Double for the kids…but our room was 10/10! Also, the access to the lounge meant free breakfast and more less free drinks/dinner if you were happy to make a meal out of all the complimentary food they make each evening (pizza, pasta, crackers and cheese, fresh fruit). It’s not pitched as dinner and you don’t get to choose…but it made for a perfectly good dinner for us one evening.

Hotel parking was extortionate, so we parked in the public car park across the road (half the price). Slight inconvenience, that I thought the hotel are empowered to fix for their guests.

Place was great but Booking.com made it look like a good deal but there were a lot of additional fees attached at check in. Wish that had been more clear.

Overall hotel was very good but missed something to make our party of 4 really excited about the experience. Location and the pool/sauna/gym were very nice. Main hotel areas and rooms were very clean.

Apparently we got King Deluxe Room but nothing really felt deluxe. Booking.com advertise hotel as a 5 star but it rather was a 4 star hotel. The rooms was advertised as 300+ sq.ft but it felt very cramped. We had 2 rooms and one of them was a significantly smaller. The view of old rooftops was depressing too. Valet parking extremely overpriced.

The hotel was absolutely perfect for us. The room was spacious, clean and the provided toiletries, slippers, robes etc were great. It was our honeymoon, and I mentioned this to the person behind the check in desk when he asked why we were travelling - we got an upgrade which was amazing. We had access to the Imperial Lounge with our room; lovely breakfast and wine/cheese selection in the evening. Other facilities were also good; gym is well equipped and we didn’t try the pool/jacuzzi but looked spacious and clean. The location was good. It’s very close to downtown, but not on/near too many of the streets best avoided. Overall I would definitely come back. Perfect stay!

Nothing!

Nikko staff were polite and friendly, my room was very comfortable and quiet, and the property felt secure despite being close to "undesirable" parts of downtown San Francisco. It is well located to catch public transport.

The fridge was a mini bar with no space for other items, and an instant charge if you even moved minibar items. The room was well appointed for one person, but with only one chair, it would have been less comfortable for a couple. Based on the booking information, I thought the room had a desk, but it didn't.

Comfy bed, polite and helpful staff, rooms are clean and fairly well insulated from noise, spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. Check-in and check-out very smooth, valet employees were helpful.

The bed is super soft so it can take a toll on your back. Incessant noise from the street despite being quite high up. There was some bleach stains on the well above the toilet, it looked a little grim and there's only one hook for your towel, which is above the toilet, not super hygienic.
