The location across from Oracle Park, where the SF Giants play, is great. Nice restaurants in the neighborhood, which is important as there is very limited food at the hotel, although the roof terrace looked very nice and serves some from 4-11 pm.

The room was fine but bland (nothing at all on the walls) and only one desk chair so although a limited breakfast is available by room service, there is nowhere you can eat it. Very nice well designed bathroom. Everything worked (or didn’t in our case) via a tablet - all lights either on or off as a result. This was rather frustrating. We reported this at checkout but the person at the desk just uttered, “Oh, sorry.” Tip for drivers - unless the Giants are playing a game at Oracle, there is very reasonable parking via Spot Hero at 153 Townsend, literally adjacent to the Via (instead of the $70 per night valet charge).

Quiet - no noise in rooms or halls. All amenities worked / nothing broken / everything clean & in new condition. Rooftop lounge. A hidden gem in SF!

Valet Parking will make your heart stop…

I've stayed here a few times. It's always clean and quiet. If you're in the city for baseball season, oracle park is right across the street. It's about a half hour walk to Ferry building and union square. I enjoy staying here and it feels safe. Valet is the only parking, which costs of course, but I don't mind paying to having my car secure.

3 of the 5 times I've stayed here the roof top bar has been closed for private events, which is a little annoying. Maybe check before you book to see if it will be open. It's part of what makes the stay nice. A good place to relax and chat.

The hotel was conveniently located to Oracle park where my daughter’s college graduation was held. We didn’t have to worry about traffic because it was in walking distance and we had a nice family gathering at the rooftop of the hotel. Everything was perfect and left a lasting impression for my daughter’s college graduation experience.

Only that momentarily the elevators went out in the building and we had to use the stairs. But it wasn’t a big deal, I used the opportunity to get my steps in :-)

The bed is very comfortable, there is also heating that can be adjusted by yourself, the bathroom is large, bright and clean.

I didn't know that they would come to clean the room every day, because I saw a piece of paper saying that if I needed it, I could tell the front desk, but I didn't tell them at that time, and I didn't know there was a private button next to the door. When I came back from outside, I found that the room had been cleaned. Other than this, everything else was good.

We LOVE the Via!! It’s our go to every time we go to watch our SF Giants! Always clean! Always fun at the rooftop bar! 🙌🏼 great vibes! Great view from hotel. Always very clean and staff including wonderful housekeeping staff are very nice. Love the valet staff too! Hotel is steps from Oracle park. Best place to stay and you get great service! 5 stars!

You need a regular Keurig! PLEASE!!! The expresso is awful! Give me normal size coffee cups and normal coffee pods!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE -other than that… it’s perfect!!!

The hotel was walking in walking distance to chase center. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Our room was comfortable and we weren’t in need of anything extra.

Valet is usually about 40-60 dollars at most San Fran hotels and I paid 75.00. I ordered 2 burgers for 20.00 each from room service and that was all we got were the 2 burgers. They didn’t come with fries and that was disappointing after not eating the whole day and it wasn’t mentioned to us. They don’t tell you if you use a debit card they will charge you for valet and food separately and also hold 150.00 for the deposit which normally they just take out what you’ve spent from the deposit, so I was surprised to wake up to the 150.00 and 127.00 in charges on my bank account. Tat may not be a problem for some but that affected me and the rest of my stay in San Fran.

The hotel is very nice. We went for a giants game.

I was told we could not make reservations for the roof top bar. When we arrived we were told they didn't have servers and we needed to order our food at the bar. It soon got very crowded. While we loved the view and the food was excellent next time we'll try the restaurant instead. The driveway to enter the hotel can get a bit tight with cars entering and exiting and there is not much room when waiting for your car. The day we checked out was the worst since the lobby was crowded and we had to stand outside while waiting for our car.

Very good location not far from pier, good wi-fi to be able to work from a hotel if needed, really clean, comfortable beds. Supermarket is close if needed as well as bus stop. Has all needed amenities and even more!

Only coffee in the room, no tea (and no hot water to make tea). May be important for people who do not drink coffee. There is supposed to be a drinkable water dispenser according to instructions on some floors but I did not find any

Right next to Oracle park! So Clean!! Comfy. Valet parking. Roof top bar with a gorgeous view! Spacious room! MoMo’s great food is within short walking distance from The Via! The beds are super comfy. Went to see giants game. Best location to ballpark. Love this place! The front desk staff and Valet staff are top notch!

The horribly expresso coffee maker!! Awful coffee, and the ONE coffee cup they provide is size for a teeny tiny dwarf person! Just put a normal Keurig in there!!! Garbage men collecting trash at 5am sounded like an earthquake! I fell right back asleep again though, cause the bed was so comfortable.
