Loved the rooms, property, Marketplace coffee shop, restaurants, and bike rental.

Was disappointed in the daily parking fees and additional fees after I thought I had payed in full prior to arrival. Putting green could be improved.

Location, staff, good food.

All the extras. Plus plus plus. Even car parking $28 plus tax per day which was galling as when I asked the reason given was that they have limited car parking when actual car park is large. Plus no tea making facilities in room.

Very nice reaort. We had 2 bathrooms the main had an excellent large shower easily accommodate 2 people.

30 a day for parking and 45 day for reaort fees. To me these are unnecessary charges when paying 600 a night for a room.

Every thing else was great, staff is awesome, facilities clean, great location of course, all the restaurants around, plenty of water sports companies around, free bikes for rent (loved it!), 7 mile bridge! Market place is a great location to have food and just to hang out. Restaurant is very good, good food variety, expensive but when you on vacation in Florida Keys and you are staying at the resort I think you can pretty much expect that. I had an issue with my rental, needed a jump, ladies at the Market place went extra mile and found me a cable. Pools are fantastic. Views are out of this world.

The property is great but the beach does not exist. It's very small, and the water and the ocean bottom is not developed. Not sure if they are just not allowed to do anything with the shore line but for the price tag I would think they could clean the bottom to make it pleasant. Pools are awesome, but you don't go to Keys to splash in a pool, right? if you want to have a real Atlantic Ocean beach experience I would go to Key West. Just one hour drive. Another grievance - mosquitos. Maybe it was the month of August, but holly molly they were relentless. Property started to do sprays after many complains I guess while I was there. Still, that was an eye opener

The resort is beautiful, well maintained, white sands with coconut trees, nice beach (although relatively small), great pool and multiple smaller pool spread along the resort so it’s never too crowded, excellent pool bar that serves great cocktails and good food. There are fire tables and live music every evening and the atmosphere is serene. The on site restaurant (Mahina) is very good, offers excellent options. There are fire staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was very comfortable and spacious, equipped with coffee machine and minibar. The resort offers variety of activities- kayak, sap, jet ski, snorkeling, scuba diving… The location for us was great- it’s about 2/3 of the way from Miami to Key West so it’s not too far from either, very convenient drive to KW. Nearby the resort there’s a nice commercial center with supermarket and liquor store so it’s not too was great. Marathon itself isn’t very interesting and in my opinion there aren’t many things to do so if you’re looking for fancier stuff (restaurants, outlets etc.) you’ll have to drive a bit, which for us was fine since we stayed at the resort most of the time. To summarize- beautiful resort, peaceful, high quality, good service, great facilities, beautiful beach and pools, good food, picturesque, place for real vacation and relaxation.

The activities (kayak, scuba etc.) are very expensive.

They did an amazing job with the grounds! Just the right amount of palm trees on the water side to let you take in the view. Buildings perfectly matched the sand and gave a monochromatic wash so that everything disappears. Lush vegetation on the interior of the property, that was perfectly lit in the evenings. Breakfast was always amazing, food and service, the view by the water was even better.

Dinner at Mahina needs to be better for the price and atmosphere. Short rib was really tough and almost not edible. Pork chop was way over cooked, but the chutney and sides with it were good. This is place is a 10 if their food and service stepped it up a notch. No Coffee in the rooms. Earliest you can get coffee is 7am.

The room was large, very comfortable and with gorgeous view. Although the resort was close to capacity there was plenty of room on the small beach and around the various pools. It didn't feel busy. Thankfully very little intrusive music blaring out.We never understand why resorts think this is necessary. The food in the restaurants, especially the Mahina, was excellent albeit very expensive.

We were surprised that the otherwise excellent rooms did not provide bath robes. We also found it difficult to find a cup of hot tea anywhere - not everyone prefers coffee all the time. Coming from England we were surprised by the high cost of everything, especially compared to when we were last in the States 5 years ago when prices were lower than UK. The status has now significantly reversed.

Nice location

It is expensive with lots of additions - resort fee, parking. Food was good but again expensive for what it was.

The whole resort, white and blue, make you feel like you are someplace else besides the keys. The resort was very clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and all have a view and a comfortable place to sit outside. There are several places to eat on the resort which is nice to have a variety. There is also a place to eat within walking distance from the resort, and several within minutes to drive. The staff everywhere were attentive, friendly, and fantastic. They have several free activities and several paid for water sports/activities.

I did not like having to pay $25 a day for parking. I felt the food menu at the main pool was limited. It would have been nice to have a few more options. The nightly entertainment at the beach bar could have been more upbeat. At the beginning of the week, the singers asked for requests of songs to sing, interacted with the crowd, and sang a variety of genres, very upbeat. Later in the week, not so much.

I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but in this case, I’m happy to share my experience: As you might know, Isla Bella means “beautiful island,” and let me tell you—everything about our stay was, in fact, beautiful. From the moment we arrived at the property gate, we were warmly welcomed by a kind and funny attendant who made us feel at home right away. Driving through a tunnel of palm trees, we arrived at a stunning, aesthetic white building. The lobby was incredibly calming and relaxing, perfectly balanced with white and wood tones, and complemented by a gorgeous ocean view. Promise and Bridget at the front desk welcomed my family and me with such genuine hospitality, always smiling and making us feel like we belonged. Theo took us from the lobby to our room, sharing details about the hotel along the way. Honestly, after just a short ride, we felt like we had known him forever—like a family friend. The beach was perfect. We got front-row chairs, and the kids had so much fun playing safely in the sand while we enjoyed our well-deserved champagne. Every single staff member we met during our stay was fantastic—from Luca at the pool restaurant to the coolest duo, Yoel and (sorry, I forgot the other name!). They made sure we always had clean towels at the beach and anything else we needed—and more. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT ISLA BELLA—you made my wife’s birthday a truly special experience, one we will always remember, just like the stunning sunset we witnessed from the pier. We would absolutely love to come back. I captured some amazing photos, the kids had an unforgettable time, and my wife celebrated her birthday surrounded by family, love, and breathtaking ocean views. Sincerely, Henry
