Lovely room, super clean and cozy, with balcony and gorgeous view of the ocean. Staff was very friendly, and everyone just seemed happy. Loved lounging and swimming at the pool areas, and we enjoyed watching the sunrise and exploring by kayak. Plenty of parking and very cute resort cats! We would love to stay again.

Not the property’s fault, but during our spring time stay the seagrass on the beach had a very strong stink at low tide. I think that’s all of the Keys this time of year. The staff was so kind, but we had a lackluster dinner at the restaurant. We also had an issue with our key cards not working after the office closed, and no one answering the phone, but some restaurant staff closing up rescued us. Bed was also just okay, we were a little achey by the last day.

We stayed at Grassy Flats for 3 days in August. The property is beautiful- we had a room in adults only with balcony facing the water and overlooking the pool. We used the free paddle boards and kayaks which were great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the bathroom had 2 sinks which was very nice. They opened a casual restaurant and grocery store next door which was terrific. Manager Michael was friendly and had a great selection of gourmet but reasonably priced groceries. It was not clear on website that there is no beach at the property but staff directed us to nearby beaches and place to watch beautiful sunset. We went to Key West for half day- about 1.5 hr drive. Fun to see but rather tourist focused. Happy we stayed where we did. The only note about the hotel is that there is a smell from the surrounding area that may be displeasing to guests. Suggestion would be to sell scented candles or diffusers in lobby or store. Also the chairs on the balcony would be far more comfortable with cushions. However this is a wonderful place to stay in the Keys!

Only comment is that one has to drive to a beach as there is not one at the property.

We enjoyed our stay here. Check in and out was great. We had a relatively quiet and peaceful. The balcony was nice to sit out on. The adult pool was warm and relaxing. The jacuzzi was nice and hot. We didn't use any of the watercraft, but there was plenty of room to enjoy those. I did enjoy the pier. Late at night we'd walk out to the chairs by the water and stare at the Milky Way and stars. Best stars I've seen since Blue Ridge Mountain. It was windy, but it felt great and kept mosquitoes away. Yes there was a strong smell, but apparently that's the smell of the Keys and Key West. You won't escape it no matter where you stay. You get used to it.

The Grassy Key Resort service team is top notch! We were very impressed with every part of the property. Thank you for having the tiki bar open everyday. This was great being able to order anytime all day. The Grassy Key Land and Sea Market is on the property and the breakfast there was excellent everyday. The Rhum House was Great, this place is being run by professionals! Great food and service! This property is a little piece of heaven. Minutes from Marathon which is our overall favorite city in the keys.

This resort is nearly perfect. If it was a little further off US1 it would be perfect. Understanding this is common in the keys since many of the islands are narrow and the property must be narrow. This was really just background noise. It gets quiet in the evening and at night. Also at the pools the sound it blocked by the buildings. We went in the most expensive time of the season so everything is priced on the high end in March.

Adult Only was the BEST THING

The Rooftop was closed. The Rhum Restaurant was very good but we had a large party for my birthday & they werent allowed to split up the bill. It was couples so it wasn’t hard. We sat there at the table for 15 mins doing the math ourselves. Waitress was amazing our whole time. She informed us that the “owner “ does not allow checks to be split. Our food was Amazon tho my 1942 w/ a splash of Sprite & a lime was over priced. I drink this Tequila all the time. Never paid $45 a drink. And btw i had 3. Im a Tequila drinker. Not a shot but i watched bartender & it was a shot in a glass w/ Sprite & a lime. Anyways. We will come again but we will not be eating there.

The location is such a pretty setting and you really can enjoy it because your room has a spacious lanai. There is a market on the site to get breakfast . The market also has many food items that you can buy.Every staff member from front desk, tiki bar,rooftop bar and delicious restaurant on site were GREAT. Almost left out that the rooftop bar had a wonderful happy hour and menu and music most nights.

Our room was very large but could use more closet space . The bathroom was large but had no space for your toiletries. That was annoying. The staff only had housekeeping every 3 days or by request. That didn’t bother us but may annoy others. In the area of the resort there isn’t much of anything besides the pool and some water sports. So if you are looking for action you have to get in your car.

Following a long drive we received a great welcome from Morgan on reception, who eased us into the Grassy Flats vibe. The room (302) was outstanding, shotgun style, with 2 great Queen beds, plenty of space, good quality furnishings and clean. The bathroom was superb, 2 wash basins, a super large shower with built in seat, and then the balcony. A tremendous view so peaceful and relaxing. We ate breakfast from the diner on the balcony each day and the food was excellent

To reduce environmental impacts, room laundry is done after 3 days, as we only stayed for 3 nights we asked for a cleanse on day 2 which was accommodated without issue. We heard other guests did not request and were frustrated by the policy. The Rhum House restaurant has good options though need to ask for the specials as they are not offered, service can be a little chaotic, though with no pressure we were happy to sit back and enjoy. Frustrating that the deck bar closes by 9pm and is not open on a Tuesday at all which caught us out

Our room was beautiful! Brooke checked us in, and her customer service skills are on point! The location was right in the middle of the keys. Great place to be if you want to explore it all. The dessert at the Rhum House was amazing! Pool was beautiful. The view from our room's balcony was exactly the island paradise I pictured in my head. There was a QR code on our restaurant receipt to scan to pay.

No washer and dryer available in hotel. The hotel restaurant "The Rhum House" was really expensive, and not worth the money, in my opinion. The menu didn't have enough variety, not many dinner options to choose from. Couldn't get into the ocean to swim. there was too much seaweed.

The room and hotel are absolutely adorable. It's exactly what you think of when you think of the colorful places in the keys. It has covered parking. you're able to use the bikes around the property along with other amenities such as paddle boards. It has a separate area for families vs adults only. 2 pools, right off the water. Has bars and restaurants on site, plus near other restaurants. The room was so nice, with a cute balcony to sit and enjoy listening to the waves.

The room was very cold. We couldn't turn off the AC or turn on the heat. the way it's set up is all 4 rooms have to have the heat on for it to work. The water pressure was pretty good, but the water only got lukewarm during our showers. that mixed with the AC had us pretty cold. We did get extra blankets to help.

The staff was incredible from the welcoming lobby employees to the awesome fellow whom got us our kayaks. The employees were outstanding. The balcony was gorgeous! The room decor was beautiful! Nice to have all adult option. They had elevators that was nice! Felt very special there.

The beds were a little bit uncomfortable. Maybe memory foam toppers could be added. Could not figure out the coffee machine, although it looked great. Maybe directions next to it would be great! The pool closed at sunset so was sad about that.
