The decor and design, both inside and outside, is beautiful in a "formal livingroom" kind of way. (i.e. the room you're not allowed to go in because it's reserved for special company) It was quiet, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The location is convenient to historic downtown. Thanks for making our first trip to Charleston really special.

The pillows were lumpy.

The hotel is in a good location. The property is well-kept, clean, and the staff friendly. We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed the pool, restaurant, and the rooms. Warning - pay at the hotel. Do not use prepay with Booking.com as they tried charging my credit card nearly two weeks after my stay. When I called support, they said there was a glitch in their system, and that I should have been charged more than I was and should pay for their mistake. What's worse, while on the phone with support waiting for a supervisor to get on the line which never happened, they tried to sneakily charge me again while I was on hold. Although I will never use Booking.com again I will continue to stay at this hotel.

The room decor was pretty, and the chairs in the room were incredibly comfortable! Beds comfy too. We loved the bathroom set-up, with the large shower plus tub. We were tired from our trip, so we were very glad the restaurant was there. Our dinner was great, served with TLC! We had some trouble with our TV. The front desk gal tried to help over the phone, but when that didn't work she came to our room fix it. Quick, friendly, and efficient! This hotel definitely felt like it was a step up from a standard nice Holid--In-- or Ham--ton In-- with only a modest step up in price. We were very happy with our stay!

Breakfast buffet was excellent. Location was good if heading to Savanaha.

Beautiful property and despite being in a busy metro section it still felt like we were away from it all! The staff was beyond polite, caring, and friendly. From the front desk to maid service, everyone had a smile on their face and went out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The property is beautiful and the staff keeps its clean and quaint! We will definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at this hotel many times when traveling to see my Mother who lived in Charleston. She's gone now but we were coming back from Florida and we always stay here to see one of my brothers. This is a great hotel where they paid a lot of attention to the Guest Rooms. They are clean and VERY comfortable. Breakfast is no longer included but you can get a great one in their restaurant. The locals all come there, too. They have a LOVELY restaurant and a piano bar.

The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom better than average. I liked the granite countertops. The hotel is aging, but basically very comfortable.

There was no first aid kit in the hotel when my husband hit his head on the car door and was bleeding profusely. Had to run down the street to a pharmacy. The entrance to the hotel smelled like old charred steak.

Staff friendly, hotel and room clean. Location not far from town with many stores and restaurants nearby.

In hotel restaurant was fair on value and lacking on service due to being short staffed as most places are today. Party of 3 easy $100 for sandwich, burger and fish with side salads. Nothing exceptional. Dinner later in evening was tremendously slow. Had about 5 tables occupied and seemed the waiter was also the cook as he spent a lot of time in the back of the house. Took nearly 40 minutes for food, had to go to bar to get mustard and only received 1 drink refill. Breakfast the next day was much better as the food was delivered fast, hot, well presented and server very attentive. Will be staying again in a few weeks and may eat breakfast there again, but not so sure about dinner. May have to try something else local.

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. If anything was needed, it was supplied very quickly. Desk staff even helped us print out boarding passes after we had difficulty doing so. Trotters, which may be an independent restaurant, served delicious food.

Nothing having to do with the inn itself. I only wish the location allowed for more places to walk to and enjoy.

Hotel is a bit dated, however the room was clean and smelled so fresh upon entering. Even the grounds and the pool area were clean. Also, it's conveniently located to the city and tourist attractions, we were about 15/20mins drive away from most places, with a Starbucks and Wholefood just down the block. Cleanliness and Location were the best features of staying here.

Breakfast wasn't included which considering, we spent more than $300 for two nights, is a bit pricy. Even the prices on the in-room menu were astounding, $4 for a cup of tea. Also, our room was prepaid/booked for three ladies, and we had a difficult time getting more than the one small bottle of shampoo and conditioner left in our room.
