Staff, 2 pools, full breakfast, excellent location to visit other nearby towns. I always look for a Best Western when traveling as I believe BW is the best option for those traveling away from home.

Unfortunately, our traveling companions needed to change rooms to further down and on another side of the hallway as their original room had a damp, musty smell. Turning up the A/C fan and opening the window hadn't helped. But the change made a big difference, and they were happy with the new room.

Location was one of the main reasons for staying in hill city. We were on a motorcycle rally. Visiting many locations in and around hill city South Dakota. So being centrally located was important to us.

Raising the price of the rooms during the motorcycle rally is poor business sense. Room rates should be the same all the time. Taking advantage of people is not right. It’s not just motorcyclists that have to pay more. There were families that had to pay extra also. The extra money could have helped the families with extra holiday fun.

Loved having room for everyone. Location in the Black Hills was great. We got to visit Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse, and go hiking at Sylvan Lake. The included breakfast was wonderful! Pool area was neat, and the kids used it both days we were there.

We had planned on doing laundry here in their coin operated machines. The dryers started but didn't dry our clothes. They were soaking wet. Had to go to a laundromat in Hill City which cost us a couple hours of our vacation time. Plus money :( The small refrigerator in our room didn't work either.

Breakfast was really good and they changed the buffet each day. Sometimes sausage, other times bacon. Always biscuits and gravy. It is nice to have a nice hot breakfast every day and they have a choice of milk, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, etc... We have stayed there 4 times and will stay there again if we ever go back.

Nothing really not to like besides the price of the room is a little high.

TELEVISION WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN IF TOILET HAD BEEN ANY CLOSER TO THE GROUND WE JUST A WELL USED A HOLE IT WAS NOT FOR OLD PEOPLE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT OF HOTEL PARKING LOT ONTO MAIN STREET YOU REALLY HAVE TO PICK YOUR TIME

We liked the private little patio, pool & hot tub, the large size of our room, close to downtown for walking, excellent breakfast. It was very nice to have an early breakfast at 4:30 am so we could leave early for the Buffalo Roundup!

The toilet area was pretty small, but still worked out fine!

Always a very good breakfast. Great options.

We have stayed at this location and had a couple of different rooms. We are only dissatisfied with the furniture in the rooms as far as comfort for sitting. The desk chair would not keep its height and the other chair was extremely uncomfortable. The bed was fine.

Every single staff member that we encountered during our 4 day stay were so nice! That is pretty rare for us. They all greeted us with a smile or asked how we are doing. They made small talk and gave recommendations on places we were looking for. The breakfast had a good variety. The rooms were clean and comfortable!

The hot water takes awhile to get hot. Once it does, it works well! I had to run the water a long time. I didn't know that and called maintenance (who came up super quick) and of course the water finally started running hot.

We love this place we visit the black hills every year for our anniversary and we always go to this best western and love it!!

We would prefer ham or bacon in the am instead of sausage since there already is sausage gravy with the biscuits. We also stayed in Wall Drug for a night at the best western and they had a pancake maker maybe that or waffle maker. Just a little variety with the breakfast.

Beautiful setting and close to everything with a great breakfast! Bonus that you could walk to all the cute shops in downtown Hill City!

The air conditioning is inconsistent in the rooms and the pool had too much chlorine. Plus the outdoor pool wasn’t even open during our stay, which was very disappointing.
