Best value in Keystone. Yes, it’s a little run down, but everything works and I felt safe. Room was large. Shower water temperature/pressure was great. Wi-Fi was good. Room had a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker. Location was excellent—easy walk into the touristy part of town, short drive to Mt Rushmore. Breakfast was surprisingly good—scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, toast, jelly, butter, pastries, orange and apple juice. I recommend this place—very livable, best value in town.

I honestly believe that, this property is a 5 star in it’s category. Let me preface my statement. This a MOTEL not a HOTEL. But, even though it is quite dated and could use a facelift, this is a cute little place with great character. Our room was clean and ready upon arrival. The bed was quite firm, yet pretty comfortable. Hot water was readily available and the heating/air conditioning unit worked well. The privacy was perfect and it was a quite stay, which was much appreciated. But, I would be remiss if I did not mention the top notch care the property manager took to make our stay so pleasant. He was very personable and cordial. I observed him working diligently to make sure the property was maintained and clean. Breakfast was pretty typical for this type of venue, but it was sufficient. And, the manager is very proud of his coffee, so don’t hurt his feelings by walking down to the coffee cabin for one of those “fancy” lattes and paying an exuberant price when his is the “best in town” and it’s included in the price of the room. 😁

We did not have this issue, but we could see that if this establishment happened to be full, there could possibly be an issue with parking, but I am sure the property manager has a solution for this possibility. So, no, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.

Very quiet! Maybe a quarter mile off the highway, but you would never know it. Plastic lawn chairs to sit outside the room and relax. Friendly and informative front desk. Don't be fooled by it's appearance: it is affordable, wasn't sold out (when we reserved our room), and what we were all looking for: peace and quiet. A bed and a shower; didn't need, nor time for, television or wi-fi.

Parking is tight, but I wouldn't say that I didn't like it.

Continental breakfast and I don’t eat that kind of food. But the staff was beyond everything. Always checking in on us every time they saw us outside. The location and view was spectacular. Walking distance to so much!

The rooms have some water damage in corners and there’s a few things that need minor repairs, but overall, it’s an old place and should take that into consideration when booking.

The bear cabin is awesome the small cabins are very nice just no personal bathroom. But common bathroom is nice. Fire pits at all cabins wifi BBQ grills propane all supplies are free with room they have a nice movie collection and board games in all cabins. Do not fallow Google down the dirt road use 385. To get here bar and grill on site bring atvs

Close to all the sights we wanted to see. So many restaurants and stores to choose from and all within a couple minutes drive. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was minimal, but, as I said, with so many choices in Keystone, it didn’t matter.

Maybe a few more TV Channels. After a long day of sightseeing, it would be nice to relax with a few more options.

A bit pricey, hot breakfast was just a pre made omelette that you heat in a microwave, although it was good, no ketchup or condiments, jam, jelly, peanut butter & fruit would be a good addition.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was a remodel of an older hotel but had all the facilities that we needed. The staff was very accommodating.

Wasn’t quite prepared for the rustic appearance of the exterior but found everything liveable.
