I loved the breakfast buffet, the fire pit, the lobby, the popcorn, the atmosphere, the free ice for your cooler. Sitting out on the patio looking at the river. It rained off and on and one morning I sit next to the fireplace all morning. I loved sitting in the open area outside each morning watching the river while I ate breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. It was a lot closer to the Island than I realized. Very nice location.

I chose a ground floor and the geese were annoying. Next time I would like to be on a higher floor. There is bacon one day a week. I enjoyed it that one day. Would be great if it was on the bar daily.

We always love staying at The Inn on the River. It’s always clean and the staff is nice. We typically will call when we get into to town to see about our check in time. Sometimes we get lucky and it will be ready. We were told to call back around 3. So we did and were told it will be closer to 4 when it’s ready. No problem at all we showed up at 4 to check and our room hadn’t even been cleaned yet for Us to check in. The bad part was the guy at the desk was a little smart about it. Which I was too due to his tone. We finally got in our room and it was clean and comfortable as always. Just a bad check in experience this time. I also feel like it was because we didn’t book direct.

Very clean rooms. The location is great! It is really kid friendly. They have a “KidFest” Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 2-4pm where they set up snacks, crafts, and games for kids. The indoor pool is ACTUALLY heated and you can tell. At the back parking lot they have feeders for the ducks and fish. Our kids enjoyed that the most I think. The geese and ducks would see you walk to the feeder and tons of them would come from everywhere to eat. They also gave the kids a little gift bag when we checked in.

The front desk staff could have definitely been more welcoming. With that being said though, they weren’t terribly rude.

My husband and I love this little hotel. They have free breakfast (if you're up by 10am). They have free chocolate chip cookies at 4pm until they are gone. And starting at 7pm they have free freshly popped popcorn! Also in the lobby, all the coffee machines are available 24/7! If you're not in the mood for coffee, have a complementary mug of hot chocolate or hot apple cider (which is delicious)!! All of the little extras really make it feel like home. We will stay here every time.

The vanity in the bathroom is a little small, but there are shelves underneath with the towels.

The AC worked better than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The breakfast was really good value. Balcony view was really nice. Although room service was supposed to be every other day we received room service daily and witnessed hotel employees constantly cleaning hallways and down stairs very clean hotel.

Early check in not guaranteed even when reserved in advance. Bathroom sink is a little too tall for children to use. Room and bed a little dated. Although indoor pool was very chlorinated and clean check balance of chemicals to reduce cloudiness of water.

It exceeded expectations. The location made it an easy walk to many attractions. You are feet away from the river and the wildlife it brings. The fire pit, hot breakfast and covered outdoor tables are a bonus. Staff was awesome. Rooms were nice and the walk in showers with a door were great. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. And the price was much cheaper than other hotels. Can't say enough the great value this hotel is. Highly recommend. The indoor look will remind you of a ski lodge or chalet.

We never had a problem or even a disappointment here during our stay. We loved it.

The hotel is very nice. We stayed on the bottom floor in a balcony room. It was nice to sit out and watch and listen to the stream going by. Also, the wild life that came right up to you was incredible. Loved this. The beds were comfortable. It was probably the best breakfast buffet that we have had at a hotel. Highly recommend.

The only negative that I had was the door going out to the balcony was slightly damaged and would not lock. The frame seemed to be loose. I did tell the front desk so hopefully it was addressed. Did not feel uneasy. Even with this.. I never felt unsafe. We would definitely stay again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds.

Both pools inside and out were dirty with bandaids on the bottom and other things that should not continue to be around for multiple days in a row. It just felt gross and icky between finding trash in the water, the water being murky and not clear, and the pools being extremely crowded. Lots of kids jumping and bending wild while one couple embraced and kissed passionately in a way that was more suited for a private room. Hot tub was the same as was outdoor pool. Gross feeling.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Very clean, wonderful staff, loved the popcorn that they have at night.. My husband prefers to have a good breakfast of a day & this is the only hotel we’ve had that has had such a wonderful breakfast everyday! My kiddos loved the pool and the balcony that we had in our room, they loved the ducks and geese that they seen, outside of our room a set of geese had a nest and the momma was on her nest and they just thought it was the best thing in the world.. highly recommend this hotel! We will definitely be staying again when we come back!

This was an exceptional hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was awesome. All the little extras they provide like popcorn and drinks every evening, warm cookies every afternoon, a wonderful place to sit by the river and enjoy it, a fire ring with rocking chairs, comfy couches and chairs by a fureplace in the lobby, and a great breakfast buffet every morning, really made for putting our experience there over the top for enjoyment. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends.
