The location for me was the best thing about this property. Great neighborhood in its own right and very convenient to the river walk action,while still quiet and with a charming historical feel. Street parking was adequate and instructions on the key pad choreography were thorough and helpful. I loved the generous soaking tub and kitchenette, the architectural details of the building,and the whole place was very clean.

The mattresses was a little saggy and lumpy and the fridge froze some of my food, but those are minor complaints. The main downside of my stay was that after about ten minutes in the room my eyes started watering and my nose started running. Once I located the culprit, a chemically scented plug in,I was able to unplug it which eventually reversed the problem even though I couldn’t open the windows. The entrance to the building was still a stinky gauntlet, but the exposure from that was manageable. I wish it was better understood how bad these are, and that there are several much healthier alternatives. For this reason, exclusively, I probably will not stay here again.

The location is fantastic, in the historical King William neighborhood, short distance to great restaurants and shops, not too far from the Riverwalk. The staff was great and friendly, Kevin did a fantastic job checking in us into the apartment. Also provided us with an early check in and late check out options. Just wonderful customer service! Great experience, good value for the money, well definitely come back!

The parking is a bit tricky given that it is first come first serve on the street. Some times we had to park a bit far from the apartment building.

Nice little efficiency in the arts/historic district. Such a nice area I enjoyed my daily walks to the convention center and taking in the local flair. Love that it was 20 minute walk to riverwalk as well.

The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of conditioner for hair. I made do but I had expected it to be there with the other provided toiletries.

It is an old school apartment building - even had transoms over the doors and a drain board as part of the sink. Used to be quarters for military officers. Very clean. Great location in an old upscale neighborhood. Owner very helpful. It was a quiet place, too. Short walk to Riverwalk. In fact, we walked from Downtown to our neighborhood - about a mile. Very pleasant.

The only odd thing was a large window with Venetian blinds essentially in the bathtub. Just a visual oddity to us.

We stayed at The Madison for the March Madness Championship game. We were met by Kevin and he walked us through the apartment. Excellent location. Very clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Nice outdoor patio. We would absolutely stay again when visiting San Antonio. Great experience!! Thank you again Kevin!!

The Madison is a lovely historic building in the King Williams District. Perfect area to walk around and explore, and really get a different look at the DTSA atmosphere. Our room was lovely, and although there isn't a huge parking lot, we got very lucky and never had to park too far from our building. Parking a bit down the street was worth it to stay in this place, and be walking distance from so many cool restaurants/bars/shops.

For starters, a very friendly staff person met me to go over the access to the building and my unit, provide info and advice about the area, and also share a very interesting history of the neighborhood, including the building and room in which I stayed. The location in the King William neighborhood is great - quiet, nice restaurants within walking distance, and just a few minutes from the San Antonio Riverwalk, on which you can stroll for less than a mile to the bustling downtown, the Alamo, and other sights.

The air conditioning unit was quite noisy, but fortunately there was a nice ceiling fan that kept me cool during the night. Everything else was just fine.

The room was lovely. Everything was clean and the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with anything you would need. This place is in a beautiful historic neighborhood with lovely old houses and our host was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the building we were staying in. I really loved this place and would love to stay here again when I travel back to San Antonio.

I really can't complain about anything here. If I were to have anything negative it would be to say there is foot traffic so there is some noise but it's mostly people walking by talking and laughing and having a good time and who can blame them. It's a lovely neighborhood and people are out enjoying themselves.

Location was the key. Great local town feel. Walking distance to everything. Great variety of local food options too. I recommend to walk the neighborhood, cool old architecture.

The location was in historic King William area and was perfect walking distance to unique cafes and restaurants. There was street parking if you have a car. It was in a quiet neighborhood and peaceful. We were close enough to walk to the Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. However, would recommend not walking in the summer time unless well adjusted to heat. The bed was super comfortable. Recommend getting the 1-bedroom if staying for a week. We never heard any of the other guests, so rooms were well insulated. Very relaxing. Staff was available by text throughout our stay. Staff was very accommodating for our stay in letting us check-in super late as our plane did not arrive until midnight.
