It was clean and well care for. Beds we’re comfortable, lots of pillows. We would stay again.

It took a long time to get hot water. The toilets weren’t low flush.

The location was good. Easy access to the river walk, LA Vilitta village, market square, the Alamo and the tower of the America's. The room was clean and furnished nicely.

The TV system was poor. You could not access anything without signing up for a free subscription. They said everything would be erased upon check out but still not a good system 😕.

Very close to La Villita and a block off Riverwalk. Quaint and quirky lobby. Smart TVs. Good Thai next door open late and a nice little Mexican restaurant (La Castilla) for breakfast or lunch across the parking lot.

There is not much not to like, but there is no breakfast and it is historic (scruffy on the edges).

The Hotel's location is great. I walked to all of San Antonio's downtown attractions. I like the old style decoration, it gives some good nostalgia, including the "old style" bathtub. The queen-size bed was comfortable. The elevator worked fine and the front desk personnel was generally courteous, but they don't know how to give information about anything outside the hotel, like the main tourist attractions, but I googled! The temperature in the room was fine and adjustable to my preference. One of the front desk employees named Robert was very helpful when I wanted to print my airline boarding pass and other tickets. The WiFi Internet was good and stable.

The TV remote never worked well, and the TV programs were difficult to select. I could not find FOX News. Forget the phone in the room, it never worked. The breakfast was really lousy and on the first day, instead of the appointed time of 8:00 AM, I was served until 9:00 AM. When checking in, the Reception employee told me to my surprise that I was one day late. After some clarification that issue was settled. The vending machines were poorly stacked, though the prices were reasonable. They don't replace daily the coffee packet unless you ask for it. And one morning the courtesy coffee was not ready at the reception.

O'brien was amazing from the start. I already had a horrible day from another booking. The front desk staff was so friendly, kind, helping and patient. They went beyond their prescribed duties to make my stay a pleasant one. The room was small but clean. It has all the amenities like hair dryer and iron and a microwave, a mini fridge. It has a patio!! It was so relaxing sitting outside on that patio in the morning before the start of the day. It is close to the Riverwalk. There is a Thai restaurant next door - Sip Saam Thai - amazing food. Definitely rebook here!

One thing only that was a little disappointing: the water pressure was weak.

Good price for location. Interesting older building. Check in desk clerk was very friendly.

Shocked not to have coffee in the morning. Once coffee arrived then no cream. Gentleman at desk didnt try and figure out a way to correct this gross oversight! No where ever did I not find coffee at a hotel in the morning! Otherwise I would recommend this hotel

Location walking distance to everything! The hall way super clean and smells good... towels and bedding clean The Service super good!

The smells of the room...super humid I have asthma and i have to use my nasal spray and albuterol ... the fan my husband had to clean in up... like the housekeeper never clean the fan and the lamps . Just some details.. I can definitely come back

Great location very close to riverwalk and Alamo. Nice and charming old hotel, friendly service. Own little parking. Try to get a room with balcony, great to have a last glass in warm nights.

Unfortunately no breakfast is served but Shilo’s cafe is near .

The hotel is "Boutique" because it is older, not a brand-new building. Therefore, if your looking for fancy, not your ideal choice. My room had lots of space, it was clean and the heat/air was manageable. The neat thing was there were areas to sit at a table and converse on the third floor. It was so cute and cozy! It was one block from the Riverwalk! The staff knew everything about where to go and how to get there. My stay was during Fiesta-lots of loveable, happy chaos in the streets. I would absolutely return to The O'Brian!

As expected. Good Location - walking distance to Riverwalk. Price ok Cleaning Ok, but they say they offer housekeeping if you ask for. I stayed for 4 nights. Asked once and they haven't shown up. I would stay again if travelling for business and by myself, due to price and location.

There is no real breakfast. I didn't feel like trying the coffee from the lobby. Very dark room, antique furniture, white lights on lampshades make the environment less cozy. Walls need painting. Some refurbishing would be welcome. I asked for a place to leave my luggage before check in time and the place was by the entrance door, which I considered not safe at all.
