We like the quiet that the place offered and the view of the San Ant River. The staff was especially friendly and very welcoming to us when we first arrived and throughout our stay. The breakfast each day was delicious. We walked along the river and even had lunch at the Texas River Bar, which was absolutely delicious. We're planning on coming back in October.

We had an issue with Door Dash attempting to deliver food to the Inn on the Riverwalk. We ended up having to go pick up the food.

We had a wonderful time at the Inn. The breakfast was very good and hand made just in time for every traveler. The person was very, very nice and worked very hard to please all guests. We normally get up early and she was already there at 6am to start preparing for the break-fast at 8:30. The room was very cozy though a second chair would have been nice. But on the other hand, there were plenty of chairs on the porch outside and I spent quite a bit of time there since it was so quiet and nice outside. The owner stopped by every morning during breakfast and talked with everyone which was also a very nice touch.

The house outside could use a new coat of paint and a second chair in our room would have been also nice for the evenings. Everything else was very clean and very, very comfy with nice pictures, and other things. It felt like someones home and not a hotel.

The friendliest place we have ever stayed! This relaxed friendliness caused the guests to be the same and breakfast became an enjoyable social event which included the whole room. Oh and breakfast was freshly cooked for you and again one of the best. Our bathroom looked quite new. The place in general was old, all the furniture is old and rickety but it is spotlessly clean.

When you approach for the first time, you may think you have made a bad choice to stay. The exterior looks uncared for and in desperate need of maintenance. (But persevere, this little hotel is a delight)

The location was perfect. Super close to the city center and it was an easy walk to get downtown. The staff was fantastic. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The bathroom was a little small and it was kind of hard to find a spot to plug in a flat iron to get ready in the morning.

Breakfast was fresh and yummy. Balcony was peaceful and private. Whirlpool tub very relaxing after a long day. Owner introduced himself and chatted for a bit.

Was a little noisy in kitchen while breakfast was being prepared. You'll awaken unless you're a sound sleeper.

This location is perfect if you want to be in a quiet place away from city noise but still walk to the Alamo in 15 minutes. The owners/operators are great - friendly, helpful, flexible. The breakfast is homemade to order by the owner with optional seating on a patio alongside the river and riverwalk, surrounded by trees and quiet! The street is only one block long and ends at the river next to the hotel which is a former family home.

The only downside that might be a problem is walking upstairs to some of the rooms but it was not a problem for us. This place has lots of character but lacks the elegance of a fancy chain if you are looking for that.

Location to the riverwalk was excellent. Breakfast was very good, room was clean, and the A/C kept the room very cool. Will be staying there again!

Decor a bit tired.

Excellent hosts. The owner and son go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Particularly at breakfast (which was freshly cooked and very nice) they are a great source of information about events in town. The hotel was very flexible about changing our dates (after I stupidly booked the wrong month…), which was outside of their policies and much appreciated. The building and our room were very comfortable, clean and well positioned to explore the river walk and mission trail.

It would be good to have a kettle in room - also, the air conditioning unit in the Alamo Suite is quite loud.

Roland and Tristan were SO knowledgeable and answered ALL of our questions. Margaret's breakfasts WERE scrumptious !! Got our days off to a great start. Our room was spacious and comfortable and overlooking the river !! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH !! WE for SURE will return to Inn on the Riverwalk if we are in the area again.
