Because I was there for a medical procedure. The hospital was just out the back door not even a five minute walk. this made it super convenient and took one less piece of stress away from having to drive to the hospital and back. The staff was all very friendly, and the breakfast the next morning had things in it, that I could actually eat like yogurt after having my surgery. I loved all the multiple choices and how the fresh coffee and hot water is available all the time.

Only two small things that were not great at the hotel. First thing is the mattresses really need to be replaced. you sunk down in pretty low and there are some indentions, so it’s just time for some new upgrades. that’s an easy fix. and the desk chair that was in the room, had some questionable, stains or stuff on the seat. We chose not to use it because it was questionable. So, if they just steam clean the room chairs and keep an eye out for future stains that would be great. Both of these issues are minor.

The staff was friendly and provided popcorn at check-in. The rooms were clean and roomy and the breakfast area was recently remodeled. The food was good and consisted of eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausages, yoghurts, fruit, muffins, cereals, various juices, usual coffees and waffles. There is a Thai restaurant south of the hotel, less than a 10 min walk away.

The beds in our room (#214) were too soft in the middle. I'm not sure if the beds deteriorated or if that is the standard firmness of all the beds.

Location is perfect for hospital stay. Food is walking distance as well as a good beer. Area for the dog, super dog friendly. Even under construction for remodeling the staff is pleasant, cooperative and the housekeepers are super nice. Room is clean, well kept, has what you need. Once you park, you can walk to the hospital, food and dog area. We have stayed here several times.

Well it was under reconstruction and the elevator is slow. So extra patience was needed. But even under stress of surgery while handling a dog and navigating between the stay and the hospital our stay was pleasant. The extra hours are nice too when you don't know what the hospital plans are for your loved ones. I didn't like that others don't pick up their dog messes, so maybe a daily run thru the dog area with a pooper scooper would be nice.

I have stayed at the Madison inn twice now. It is near Sacred Heart hospital and out of the busy section of Spokane but near enough to do/get anything you want. The location is really nice for this. The rooms are clean and quiet. The only drawback during the summer is it doesn't have a pool, however, you can use the pool at their other property by showing your card. You do have to drive to get to restaurants but there is a couple within walking distance but they were very busy.

The room was comfortable and it was helpful to have the minifrig, microwave and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were just right. The staff was very helpful and the woman who serviced our room was very friendly accommodating.

We were initially placed in a room that had had a pet from a previous guest and there was dog hair on the bedspread and floor and wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The staff moved us immediately to a different room but acknowledged that the first room was on the pet floor and we shouldn't have been placed there to begin with.

The staff was friendly and courteous, the room was well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety of food options, both cold and hot.

Location was perfect for our purpose.

One of the bath towels had a long, brown human hair embedded. Kinda gross. Paid extra for breakfast, but the food was not great. Went to dinner and left our little dog in the room. Just as we ordered dinner, got a phone call from the front desk asking if we left our dog alone. She said the dog "was barking and whining. We can't have that." We rushed back. I stood around the corner from our room, then moved closer to the room. Our dog was NOT barking and whining. You got the wrong dog.

Comfortable bed and room was fine

The breakfast was OK, but the chairs in the breakfast room are extremely uncomfortable to sit in to eat. They slope way back and make it almost impossible to sit in the chair and eat. They would be fine to sit in on a deck to sit back, but not to eat. The food was just average at best. Biscuits were cold and hard. Didn't have biscuits one day but gravy, had cold hard biscuit the second day, and biscuits but no gravy the third day.

Hotel is nice, clean, quiet and conveniently located. We enjoyed the large breakfast options that were replenished throughout the morning. Very clean and well stocked food choices. We will return here.

Our only criticism is the parking lot is difficult to use in a larger vehicle. Seems like a small lot for this size hotel and this makes it difficult to park a larger vehicle. Lot is well lit at night.

Friendly, helpful staff. There was a good selection of foods for breakfast. Only one person worked the breakfast and he did a great job. Our only complaint was that we didn't have much warm water, it tended to be luke warm at best, but they are working on repairing it.
