We were here for a Square Dance conference so it was a great location with beautiful mosaics, mural paintings, and photography of dancers. It was such a lovely atmosphere to return to every night. I enjoy making mosaics, so I was impressed and entranced with the mosaics on the garage! They are worth coming to see, even if you don't stay here. It also came with free, hearty breakfasts at Rosie's.

The only thing that wasn't great was one of the black cups provided was not clean. I couldn't tell until I poured hot water for tea in it and old milk flakes floated to the surface. Otherwise, everything else looked clean and neat.

Spacious rooms that contained a large fridge, microwave and a decent coffee maker. The shower was so refreshing and luxurious with the oversized enclosure and a large rain like shower head. All the fixtures throughout the bathroom were a grade above the standard. The room had a nice floor plan allowing a dressing/clothing area, An office area, the sleeping area with the huge king sized bed. The grounds were kept super clean and everything worked from the vending machines to the weight room equipment. The staff were friendly, polite, knowledgable, helpful and bubbly. It was very evident that every staff member took pride in the fact that they belonged to this organization and that genuinely enjoyed being at work.

The train. There is nothing that Steam Plant can due about it but it is very loud, screechy banging and clunky.

Whenever I stay at the Steam Plant Hotel it’s always a pleasant, relaxing and hassle- free time. Every staff member, from the friendly and polite check in person, the ever accommodating maintenance staff, and even the parking lot security, all make it a point to ask about my comforts and needs. The room is spacious and clean. Love the large shower!! And the bed is cozy and snuggly with all the pillows. The location is within walking distance of eateries, nightclubs and other entertainment venues. A breakfast voucher to Rosies is an added bonus. There is a train that rattles through nearby but the provided earplugs eliminates the noise. For the price location, and staff, Steam Plant Hotel is my go to place for the night.

There is nothing that I can be disappointed in

the location is convenient, but i didn't feel comfortable leaving my car there. however, there are cameras covering the parking lot and we parked our car right in front of a camera. the a/c worked well. there was a fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee/tea station. there is also an ice machine and a very small exercise room (that had some stationary bikes and free weights).

the area is a little rough, but nothing happened to our car or us. parking was $5/night. there was no recycling-even in the breakfast room. BTW, the breakfast was all carbs, but it suited our needs.

Location is right downtown, and of course there were homeless people wandering around. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was at Rosie's a block away. Now that was a great place for breakfast. We were given a coupon for one free breky, so my spouse had to pay. The cashier/waitress was so nice and helpful. And patient. I really appreciate her.

The room seems well worn and will need refurbishment soon. Carpeting is matted, subfloor by the bathroom door is sunk in.

The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Spokane and has on-site parking which was perfect for walking around downtown Spokane. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. We did not have the breakfast but it looked like your standard small hotel breakfast of coffee, warm up pastries and oatmeal. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. They have combated the noise complaints by supplying ear plugs in the room, it's not like they can stop the trains running.

My only complaint is the pillows. We usually travel with our own but, since this was a short overnight we did not. The pillows are your standard flat things.

breakfast was cereal and bagel, instead we chose to eat at the restaurant down the street, owned by the same company, discounted and excellent. the room was very clean and quiet. only a few blocks from the river front and a block out of the downtown district so the parking fee is a lot more reasonable. $15 versus $35, didn't have the extra downtown tax also $40ish

the exterior of the building is less than inviting, right next to the train tracks and looks run down with murals on the adjoining walls

Centrally located to downtown Spokane activities, room was clean and appointments upscale. Breakfast was provided.

AC unit was noisy and property located right next to elevated Railroad tracks. However to compensate for noise factor, the hotel provided ear plugs.

Very central location close to shopping, restaurants, buses to everywhere in town and airport. Friendly accommodating staff. Comfortable Italian shower with good water pressure and an extra wall heater in bathroom. Nice TV screen, microwave and fridge in room All in all great place for a reasonably priced clean, safe downtown location. Earplugs provided for those sensitive to train noise but it did not bother us.

One of beds beds had a very thin blanket but heat in room was fine. Breakfast items very low second morning.

Everything. For the price the place was a gem. A train bridge backs the hostel which I found very romantic listening to the low rumble and the turn of the century (that is 20th) buildings. It was like an Edward Hopper painting. A park with fantastic rive falls is just blocks away.

There were some sketchy people in the area. But that is true everywhere.
