Well from the minute I arrived to when I left, this hostel is a friendly and welcoming place of rest in busy Hanoi. A big thank you to Johnny the owner who thought nothing of giving me a lift on his bike to collect my large rucksack on a return to trip into the city from another hostel. Little touches like hot tea on arrival, a lift, free towel and slippers for the shower, great specious electronic locker in the rooms and nice furnishings in the rooms. Help with booking trips etc. thank you Johnny and team.

Nothing! There is limited communal storage place for large back packs, but they make it work!

Hostel is located in the old quarter, quite close to the airport bus stop, from outside it's a bit hard to locate as it's also a restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is basic but nice. They have a wide selection of trips, money exchange, laundry, a lot of services. The female dorm has 3 toilets and 2 showers with very good cosmetics. Also a locker which fits 60l backpack and apart from AC, a fan for each bed, also a towel. Good thing is a terrace opened all the time.

There was constantly missing toilet paper which made me go downstairs to the toilet on ground floor. The AC wasn't running the whole day only between 6pm and 12pm so it wasn't really possible to rest in the afternoon (the fan was super loud). The aisle between beds is so narrow that it was impossible to walk if 2 people from lower beds kept their backpacks there. Also, it was pretty loud place not from the street but inside.

I was particularly amazed by all the team. They were adorable and really helpful. The facilities were great, had everything I needed. Locker is great, you don’t need to bring your own lock, which is convenient. There is even a rooftop where you can grab a chair and chill. Breakfast is very generous, sometimes I was so full I didn’t even need to eat lunch. Laundry is fast and good, the airport pickup is great (my plane had a huge delay, I arrived at 3 AM but I still was able to reserve a driver last minute. So nice and professional. I was impressed). Would recommend staying at the Awesome Hostel in Hanoi as lives up to its name and is well and truly Awesome! Staff (especially Ms. Helen and Anh) were super helpful and really welcoming and friendly during my time there (and also when I had left!). Helped me book and organise tours and transport to get to other areas of the country. Also had many recommendations and advise where to go and which tours to prioritise if you really need to and are short on time. I booked the ha giang loop tour via them which was absolutely amazing, also booked a tour to lan ha bay (over ha long bay - as they recommended - and did not regret it 😍). The location for getting around and exploring the city is super ideal and room and shared spaces were cleaned daily. Ended up extending my time here a few times and was an easy process ☺️💕 Many options for their breakfast too if you pick that option and the food they serve in the restaurant was really good 😍

Nothing - was great. Even though it is located in a lively area of the city in the hostel itself was really chill and relaxed vibes.

The location is great, facilities are clean and the staff are lovely! Plus the breakfast is really good too. I recommend booking a tour with them, they have plenty of options and for a better price than other agencies. Overall, it’s a great choice to stay here!

The only inconvenience was that the door of the room made a loud noice every time someone opened or closed it. Our beds were right next to it so the noice would wake us up a couple of times at night with people coming in and out of the room. Other than that, our experience was great.

This is my fourth time in Hanoi and therefore I have stayed in many different hostels. By far this is the best one (bear in mind the vibe here is actually like a small hotel rather than a party hostel)!!! Moreover ir's super clean, location is absolutely great but still quiet enough to sleep at night. Breakfast is also very good and served with a smile! . That said, what it's really amazing about this place is the staff. They are so welcoming, friendly and talkative. They never push you to get tours with them and the price is very reasonable! Highly recommend it!

Great place all around! Kind and helpful staff, comfortable and private beds, each with locker, fan, light and electricity plug, and clean toilets and showers, in a very convenient area of the Old Quarter within walking distance from important bus stops and landmarks. I recommend it and would stay again!

I only wish the staff didn't have to enter the rooms to clean so early in the morning, at that time some people may still be catching up to much-needed sleep.

The staff are accommodating. The facilities were nice and I had a nice breakfast.

This hostel is located right in the heart of the old town, making it an ideal spot to explore the area. It is beautifully decorated, and the rooftop is fantastic, offering an amazing view. The breakfast served is great, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I also booked several excursions and tours through them, and they were excellently organized with top-quality service.

I only stayed here for a few hours but man o man it was worth it! I checked in a 4:00 AM I'm so sorry to the receptionist as I was not able to update them regarding my very early check-in but he was very nice and explained everything to me. The breakfast was good - it's filling. The ladies/staff cleaning were also nice - warm and always smiling. And my favorite part of this hostel? The wifi! it's very very fast! I was able to do my online work while staying for that said couple of hours.
