Great breakfast, do it early before 9am because they don't refill the food when it's gone. Plenty great restaurant nearby. Try local dessert nearby. Front desk staff speak fluent English. On site laundry is 50k per kilo. Water pressure and sink drainage work well. No car can enter the street after 7pm. We had to walk with our suitcases about 100 m to main street to get taxi to airport.

Hidden fee of 3% for credit card payment. This fee should have been disclosed when making reservation. Swimming pool is very cold :-(

Clean cosy room. It was quite small but was fine. Cute balcony overlooking street. Very busy area. Provided with ear plugs for sleeping, which was nice. Had comfy beds, great aircon, and room was cleaned and linen changed every day. Staff were so kind and helpful. Buffet breakfast was nice every morning. Bathroom small but clean. I left a gift in the closet after checking out. The hotel informed me and organised a taxi to deliver it to the International Airport, which was fantastic!!!

Only one key card was issued to us. No other card would work to keep power/air con on if one person wanted to sleep, stay in room, or go elsewhere. Staff will let you in to room if needed.

The hotel is in the Old Quarter and so right in the thick of things. The staff were lovely, we were greeted very enthusiastically by Lu, who gave us lots of ideas of things to do without insisting on us booking. We were able to purchase SIM cards through reception, which arrived within half an hour, and made our first evening much simpler. My husband and I were given a lovely big room and the kids had a twin bed room with balcony right beside us. Breakfast was excellent, Asian style with plenty of fruit and salads but they also had plenty of bread and some cakes. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, which is not overlooked by bedrooms at all, in fact it's much more private than it looks in the pictures. It was mercifully cool in the heat! My daughter loved the roof garden in the evenings. It's about 10 mins walk through the streets to Hoan Kiem lake, along streets full of interesting shops and restaurants. The hotel is not on Beer St, it's about 100m around the corner to it. (We recommend avoiding Beer St if you're with children or younger teens.) Bed was extremely comfortable; everything was clean and cleaned daily.

We couldn't fault the hotel at all and wouldn't hesitate to book again, and we very much hope we can go back to Hà Nội one day. One thing that was a bit strange in our particular room was that the Air Con vents blew straight down onto our heads in the bed. But we just put our pillows at the other end and all was fine - at least the A/C worked really well!

The hotel is centrally located in the Old Town. Everywhere is walking distance. It’s right in the centre of the action. The rooms, however, are quiet. Not so quiet that you can’t hear the tooting of horns, but quiet enough. The rooms very very clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The reception staff are lovely and friendly. The pool area is lovely. Miss Kym and her team on the tour desk could not to enough for us. They were amazing. We will be back to Hanoi and back to Hotel Nostalgia. We highly recommend

Hanoi Nostalgia is in an excellent position in the Old Quarter, walking distance from everything (cafes, restaurants, shops, night market etc..). Yes, due to its very central location and being close to beer street, it can be noisy at night. In saying this, I’m a very light sleeper and also pregnant (so struggle to sleep anywhere really), and I had some really good sleeps at this hotel as the bed is very comfortable. The staff is incredibly nice, kind and helpful. They were very patient towards my noisy boys! A special recognition goes to Mr Trung for all his help and kindness. Breakfast: we spent a total of 6 nights here but I didn’t get to try much of the buffet as I usually have eggs or omelette only for breakfast. The eggs and omelettes are delicious and my husband had Pho every morning and said it was very good. Definitely recommended.

We have booked everything through them( taxis, Halong Bay cruise, Ninh Binh excursion)! Thuy and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and arrange an amazing stay for us, and they succeeded... can't recommend them enough specially traveling with a child, you need this kind of services, kindness and support. Amazing location with walking distance to most of the must see visit points. Absolutely amazing! Thank you Hanoi Nostalgia Hotel! We loved staying with you!

It can be little noisy, but it's so common in Hanoi, not the hotel fault at all! Its the price you pay to stay in the heart of the Old Quarter!

I recently stayed at the Nostalgia Hotel in Hanoi, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hotel beautifully blends traditional Vietnamese decor with modern comforts, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The staff truly made my stay exceptional—they were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed during my visit. The breakfast buffet offered a delicious mix of local and international dishes, perfect for starting the day. Plus, the hotel’s central location made it easy to explore nearby attractions like the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Overall, I highly recommend Nostalgia Hotel for its charm, comfort, and amazing staff! I can't wait to return!

This was a lovely, little hotel, in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the action! We arrived late in the evening, so our driver dropped us about a block and a half away from the hotel, since the street in front of the hotel is blocked to cars after 7 PM, but the hotel sent a staff member to help us with our bags and find the hotel. Very much appreciated! We had a nice room with a great balcony on the third floor, which gave us a birds eye view of all the crazy happenings down on Beer Street. We immediately went down to have a bite to eat and a couple of Bia Hoi beers, which is common in Hanoi as a fresh beer and is super cheap. Do try some of these. The location in the old Quarter is great as it is very central to most of the attractions that you want to be able to walk to. Make sure you visit the train street at a time when the train goes by, we went for the evening one that goes between seven and eight. The pool is small, but very refreshing after a day of wandering all over town! The breakfast was very plentiful with an egg station and various European and Asian items to choose from. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our room with a balcony in the front of the hotel, Just know that you might need earplugs. My husband can sleep through anything but not me!

The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff were exceptionally good. Especially Kim and Lu were very helpful even before check-in. They arranged tours well below market rates. They treat you as one of their family members. Speak good English. The buffet breakfast is decent. The pool is small but my kids loved the waves. Highly recommended to others. Since it is in the heart of the old quarter everything is nearby. You can walk to all the places of interest in Hanoi.

The things that I listed below aren't my concerns but it may be a deal breaker for some others. 1. Since it is in the heart of the old quarter, night time noise level is high till midnight. Especially the rooms with a balcony. 2. Rooms are a bit small compared to other hotels.

The rooms were large and clean and well equipped. We needed to add an additional night at the last minute and the team were excellent in accommodating us. They were also able to provide interconnecting rooms one room we had was a bit noisy, but this is in a really vibrant area of the city so to be expected. Breakfast was very tasty.

The pool was a bit underwhelming it’s small and it’s essentially indoors under a glass roof so it’s very hot and humid not really applied for kids to play or to relax by so not really sure if it’s purpose. But for the price having a pool was a good touch
