Everything was great! The room, the staff, the breakfast and especially the cheerful chef:) the location was convenient, close to everything. I am not sure how other rooms are but the rooftop was very cool! I liked the phone in the room so much, it was old-fashioned and really matched the design of the place.

The matress was really bad. Please, change it 🙏 it was the only but very annoying thing we didn't like about the place. So squishy, nearly to impossible to get a good night of sleep, you just fall into it. Especially, if there are 2 people sleeping right next to each other...

The owner and all of the employees were so nice! As a solo traveler I felt so safe and taken care of. Check in was easy, breakfast was amazing and everyone was so attentive and kind.

Nice hotel in the alleyway and was very near the Old Quarter, only 5 mins away to the main attractions. the receptions are very nice ladies and we have never felt so welcomed in a hotel before. They chatted with us, showed us to our room and how the room functioned. also, when we were checking out the front desk walked us out to our car to say our final goodbyes. Very very highly recommend this location and will come back again!

Since this hotel was in an alleyway, at night time the street food vender was right in front of the hotel. So, at nighttime it was pretty nosy. But, this has nothing to do with the hotel. Nothing bad to say about the hotel itself!

Great location. Very central and easy walking distance to Train St, Beer St, Sword Lake and other tourist attractions. Although the location is very central it’s tucked away in a side alley so although you can’t entirely escape the noise and hustle of the city it was mitigated by the locally. Peter in reception was fantastic as were all the staff. Our room was lovely and clean with the largest bed I’ve ever seen! Good breakfast too. My only complaint is that the WiFi was a little temperamental and had the reset by Peter several times, although I understand that may be a general issue in the city/country rather than specific to the hotel. Overall though I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

The hotel staff were very friendly, approachable nothing was too much for them, very helpful. Peter arranged a fabulous trip to Sapa and our bus to cat ba at reasonable rates his support was much appreciated and made a huge difference to smooth planning fir us - Thanks again . The rooms have quirky deco -French antique style but are very clean. Breakfast buffet had a good variety and you can also order cooked food items. The position is on the edge of the old quarter which was very good for buses/ trips transport are close by. You are also close to the night life but not too close. Overall a lovely stay with Peter and his team.

The high review score really speaks for itself. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful right from the beginning until the very end. The king size bed with the balcony room is spacious (the bed is certainly the biggest bed I’ve ever slept in). The room itself is sooo clean which I find it very rare to come by with hard wooden floor. Location is perfect. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the experience and will highly recommend this place to all my friends.

The staff was so nice! Peter talked to us over breakfast and gave us a map and suggestions on where to go. He also let us leave our luggage at the hotel while we went exploring and waited for our train ride later that evening. He offered us showers after we were checked out as well. Very accommodating! Breakfast was delicious, buffet style for some items and made to order for others. Great location!

I accidentally switched up my dates because of time change, totally my fault and tried to just shift dates, same amount of nights just shifted and there was no flexibility. We ended up having eat the original first night and add on another night. Then, we had visa issues and we were a day late getting in (which I understand more because this was last minute and didn't expect a refund). So all in all we booked for 3 nights and stayed for 1. Frustrating but that was on our end. Would of been nice if it was more flexible with the advance notice that was given to shift dates (same amount of nights) on the first mix up.

If you are looking for a hotel with vintage ambiance with character, that is clean and in the ideal location, this hotel is for you ! We recieved a warm welcome from Peter, who throughout our stay was so helpful, he couldn't do enough for usq. Breakfast was brilliant with such a variety of food for all tastes and freshly cooked. The room we booked with a balcony was spacious and had timeless beautiful vintage items. We would definitely come back here again and again . Hanoi Food Culture restaurant is 1 minute away from the hotel . You must go here if you want to taste good vietnamese food. It is set in a old traditional building and has a beautiful ambiance. Beer Street is 5 minutes up the road and there are numerous cafes and vendors very close by .

Firstly the owner of the property was exceptionally helpful. Unfortunately, my wife had been involved in an accident and needed to travel to Hanoi via bus with a broken hand. I notified the owner that she would require some assistance on arrival. Instead, he offered to pick her up from the Bus terminal and went out of his way to ensure she was looked after. Once I arrived he checked in on us every day to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything. He was also helpful with tips on things to do and see around Hanoi. As for the accommodation, it is well placed within walking distance of the action of Hanoi. It is in a little laneway which also makes for a great experience exploring Hanoi. It is close to food, cafes, chemists, bars & restaurants and there is a laundromat just around the corner for convenience. The bed was extremely large and comfortable. Overall a great location & very helpful owner.

The shower is a challenge to get right and difficult to turn on, but once you figure it out it is manageable.

This is a great little hotel made even better by care and attention of Peter and his team. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are lovely with lots of choice. The location is right near all that the old city has to offer walking distance to the lake where the hop on hop off bus is great option for sightseeing. But no noise at all.

Nothing really except some of lights were not working and shower a bit leaky but nothing that spoilt our enjoyment. This is a hotel which is a special place cared for by a great team.
