Everything was perfect for us at the San Grand. The staff has always been superfriendly and helpful. Location is great, in the old quarter close to the lake, and lots of local life around us. We avoided Beer Street which was awfully crowded.

We liked everything and will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends!

Room, bathroom immaculate. Classic furniture and latest electronics. Good lake view. Chair legs padding to reduce noise. Fast internet but spotty . Super quiet AC. Good afternoon tea in beautiful room overlooking the lake and the HUC bridge. Few hundred meters from Hoan Kiem lake. Amazing western style breakfast for such a small hotel. Excellent chicken pho, grilled tomatoes, vietnamese coffee and desserts. Served with a smile. Sky bar with a splendid lake view and good prices, don t miss the buy 1 get one free cocktails.

Our stay at Grand San was nothing short of outstanding, thanks to the warm and attentive staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a level of hospitality that made us feel right at home. The front desk team was incredibly helpful, offering personalized recommendations and going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

The room could have been bigger for the three of us but the bed was to die for! Sooo comfortable and the shower was nice and strong! We didn't mind the little squeeze for the bed and shower.. and friendly helpful staff!!

Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Any problems were fixed immediately. Daniel and Emma at reception were particularly effective and were good communicators. The buffet breakfast at The Lake View Restaurant was varied and delicious.The unobstructed view of the lake was daily appreciated. The staff were efficient and the cheerful and knowledgeable Chloe deserves commendation for her high level of attention and work ethic. The bedroom was quiet and clean and the bed wonderfully comfortable.

Although the Spa is well set out, we had a mixed experience in terms of the service provided. Unfortunately, the masseur giving the Vietnamese Massage seemed inexperienced and inept and the result was truly disappointing. One poorly trained masseur spoilt our enjoyment. Massage packages at the Spa are relatively expensive, so that expectations are high.

Overall, the hotel was comfortable and fulfilled our needs in a central location and was walkable to most things. The staff, especially Emma (front desk) and Susan (restaurant), were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful.

Noise. (we were on the 9th floor). It is worth nothing that this is a central location in the old quarter, so there is outside noise. You can hear every dog barking and people in the street late at night. Also, it's not a major inconvenience, but like a lot of hotels, there is only space for 1 small suitcase (we had a carry-on and a larger room), meaning my husband's case had to be placed on the floor in front the hotel door. Not ideal for guests with lots of luggage.

My stay at San Grand was beyond exceptional. This is prime location to everything you need in Hanoi whether it is for a long/short-term. All the districts are within reach. I stayed only one night and would have loved to extended. Facilities, room and decor overall have a very contemporary yet traditional vibe. Staff at reception are very helpful, friendly and will go the extra mile to guide any questions making you feel at ease. Reception counter and on floor staff deserve a mention as I dealt with each and every one who gave 5 star service. Thank you to Taylor, Mia, Mike ⭐️, Emma, Ruby, Leo, Harry, Will and Lisa.for their hospitality. Will definitely recommend you look no further and book this Hotel when in Hanoi. This is a hidden gem.

The best thing about the stay was Emma. I haven't ever met a receptionist who becomes like a family. She helped me book the best tours for Ha Long Bay and Nin bin. Helped with very late checkins. I have a long list of the things she did for us. She is an amazing person . Coming from a service industry myself , I feel if your customer is happy that means you did a good job. I would give her 10/10 and because of her I feel good about the stay here. Even in her non working hours she helped me through whatsapp. Initially when we checked in , we did not like our room and immediately they helped us and changed our room. They were very flexible and will give another 10/10 to them.

The hotel itself had an excellent location within the old quarter, making it very easy to get about. The rooftop bar was also a great addition to the hotel, making it the perfect location to chill after a day of exploring and sightseeing. We couldn’t thank the staff enough for being so welcoming and helpful, particularly Ruby who even drove me around the area to help me find an adapter! Her care for us made us feel very at ease and our trip extra special. Would highly recommend this hotel when travelling to Hanoi!

Probably the size of our room that we had booked as we stayed for a long time, but the view was incredible and didn’t ruin the experience for us.

With a perfect position in the Old Quarter and a fantastic vie from the restaurant and bar the San Grand Hotel is perfect to visit Ha Noi. The hotel is incredibly clean and the staff cannot be more attentive and friendly. We ate breakfast each day and also tried the afternoon tea, whilst we ate out most nights ( to sample all we could of Ha Noi) the night we used the restaurant confirmed the food was excellent. Highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff, especially Kim for looking after my mother
