The room was very clean and the beds were very big and comfortable. The rooftop bar was a real bonus with excellent views of the city. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety.

There was nothing I didnt like

Really luxurious hotel with a lot of grandeur. All facilities were available and very nice suitcase service. We could leave our luggage after checking out and could still use the restroom to change.

We booked the hotel at discount price, but with full price this is way too expensive. The rooms were not that exceptional. Although the breakfast buffet was extremely elaborate, the quality was mediocre. The hotel offers a few restaurants as well, but these are way too expensive. Furthermore, when booking a day tour or (airport shuttle) taxi, they charge way too much. You can get much better value-for-money at other day tour companies. We also booked an airport taxi at 1/8th of the price they suggested.

ideal location / extremely helpful and happy staff / room size was large and it was well fitted - breakfast buffet was exceptional even for 5* hotel and the staff all worked hard making sure customers were happy and well fed. Front desk staff and door staff all young and genuinely helpful - top marks to the management.

very little was wrong however it was occasionally noisy which is understandable for such a central city location. The other issue was the shower thermostat - very difficult to set and maintain which is a shame as the bathroom facilities were excellent

The property is elegant and beautifully maintained, The architecture and attention to detail is amazing, especially the central courtyard area. The staff are very professional yet friendly. Special thanks to Bonnie at Reception for ensuring and important phone call was transferred to our room. The breakfast is sumptuous and has a great variety of options. The location of the property is fantastic, placing it within easy walking distance of great restaurants and bars.

I thought the pool area was a little too cramped. It is a combined area with the Des Amos bar. I would prefer the two areas to be separate.

Location, location, location! We enjoyed the Colonial aspect of the hotel, a reminder of the old "Saigon", breakfast was plentiful and very good. We were disappointed by the fact that during our 3-day stay we were not able to use the voucher given to us for 1 person for lunch, we were surprised the staff lady who would not allow us to keep it for our next return to the hotel, as we were going to stay again more than once but only 2 nights and not 3 and so we lost this voucher. The rule didn't make any sense to us! So we were a bit disappointed by the staff's lack of "customer service", as we were in total staying 7 nights with our friends (2 rooms )! However when our friend hurt her foot badly and couldn't walk, they let us borrow a wheelchair and this was a very nice gesture.

The check in person "Mille" who was not able to allow us to use our voucher for 1 person for later upon our return to the hotel. She insisted we had to stay 3 days but in fact we were staying a total of 7 nights for two rooms but not 3 days in a row! She played too much by the rule and lacked customer service. She didn't bother to ask her manager.

Location of hotel was great in city centre close to the main attractions. The facilities were well maintained. Hotel was historical and charming with beautiful paintings on each floor. The room was spacious. Staff in general were friendly and helpful.

Although there was variety with breakfast offered, the quality was not great. I was expecting a better breakfast from a high end hotel. The pool was just okay, and the grounds surrounding the pool were not even, needed some maintenance. Overall, hotel was outdated but still having its own character.

Service from front desk to buffet breakfast was superb. Having stayed at many hotels in Asia and US, the breakfast buffet was one of the top two hotels. Saigon staff was very helpful- excellent, food of superb quality and variety and very clean food service area. The staff remembered my preferences in omelette the second day at breakfast and was always very helpful. The hotel is in District 1 and close to many shopping and sightseeing areas. We took the Mekong Ruver tour (guide was very good and informative) and the Dinner Cruise buffet made for some nice photos of the river area. We will be at the hotel 2 more nights before our trip to Cambodia. Highly recommend the Hotel Grand Saigon!

Laundry service we did not use as a little higher cost than outside the hotel.

This was so amazing. The service and staff were lovely every time and really looked out for us in so many ways. The room was super comfy and felt so luxurious. And the pool / exterior was stunning. Happy hour buy one get one free cocktails by the pool was definitely a perk! And the location was amazing. This really made this trip feel extra special. And the bed was laughably huge, we had a great time coming up with new jokes about the sheer size of the bed. It was literally two double beds pushed together. Felt so rich

The only thing I’d say is that the breakfast could be a tiny bit nicer in terms of quality. The amount of options you have is amazing, but to me some things were slightly lacking. However, I will say the desserts were 10/10, I was obsessed with those! Even saying all that though the breakfast is definitely worth it

While in Saigon, this is our hotel of choice. We like the location and its facilities. The staff is very nice and ready to listen and help. We checked in very late due to a terrible flight delay from Danang with Vietjet. Upon arrival, we were first given a "smelly/stuffy" room and it was upsetting but the other young man at reception immediately gave us a nicer room and we really did appreciate the upgrade. Thank you! Also the breakfasts are great and delicious! From the bell boys to reception everything was great!

This is an old-style collonial hotel in Saigon. It is not new, however, I would say that it is quite well maintained. The room was spotless and, in accordance to Vietnamese tradition of course, the staff was polite and very helpful at all times. Internet connection was very decent and the location of the hotel is superb, offerring a lot of choices in the area for food and drinks in the evening. From all the staff, I remember Mr. Elvis, always present at breakfast. He was not the only one, however, I do remember him as his name was somewhat unexpected to come accross in Vietnam. He was always helpful and, very discretely, he understood what I wanted. For example, he observed that I had a pack of cigarettes on my table and pointed out a smoking area on the floor, when he realised that I was not aware of it.

Maybe it is time to renovate some features of the hotel, like the furniture in the lobby/common areas. Not a big deal, as I'd rather be comfortable in my room, rather than in the common areas, however, this spoils the overall good ambience of the hotel.
