The hotel has a very unique design across the board and bedrooms in particular have been thoughtfully designed with a keen eye for detail and a careful use of space and interesting furniture. There is a jacuzzi in the balcony as well and a mini bar included in the price. The bed is extremely comfortable and huge. The rooms are kept very clean!!! I loved that they provide filtered water in glass bottles and you can get as many as you need. They do seem to be making an effort towards the environment. The location worked very well for me- convenient to walk to all the main sites in HCM city, and also be picked up for a tour. Many great places to eat just a few mins walk away. I managed to secure what was apparently a discounted price on booking.com and even then going by the general prices I was paying for accommodation in other parts of Vietnam was significantly cheaper. However, I don’t think it’s possible to compare as what this hotel offers is very different. The roof top bar is worth a visit too- cocktails are made without skimping on the alcohol. The staff are welcoming and helpful.

I didn’t have breakfast or any meals at the hotel so I cannot comment about the food.

Fantastic location in district 1 which made it easy to walk to attractions such as the river, opera house and post office. Our room was lovely with a view to the river and an outside bath on the balcony. Unique hotel design and amazing and varied breakfast. Complimentary afternoon tea and helpful staff made our stay very pleasurable. One day our the tour we had planned didn’t work as hoped (it wasn’t booked via the hotel) and the hotel quickly assisted me to book an alternative which was much appreciated. Food in the restaurant was of a high quality and very well presented.

While the pool was inviting, there weren’t many loungers around it due to limited space. One afternoon we were looking forward to a swim, only to find when we arrived at the pool that it was closed for a private function - there was no notice of this and surely paying hotel guests should get priority. The restaurant was also closed which disrupted our evening plans. Room service was a good alternative.

I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the entire team. The jacuzzi in my original room wasn’t private enough, so I requested a room change the next day. The staff didn’t hesitate to accommodate my request, and Manager Lin kindly provided us with a tour of the new room before the switch. They were also very honest and transparent about the price difference, and even offered a complimentary airport transfer, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, I accidentally left some valuables in the room after check-out, and the team safely kept and returned them to me—something I’m truly thankful for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and trustworthy place to stay during their trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

Really beautifully designed property, including the architecture, lobby, restaurant, room, and pool area. The staff were also attentive and kind and made us feel special and welcome. We were upgraded to a better room upon arrival and ended spending more time in the room, pool area and bar. Also, they provide a tea time service between 2-4 pm which is a delightful presentation of specialty foods, desserts, drinks and snacks, which ended up being our lunch every day! All of this made it very difficult to go out exploring into the busy city.

The only thing that was a bother is that there were no curtains on some of the windows in the room and that made it hard to sleep deeply.

I loved my stay at The Myst. By far the best hotel I stayed in during my travels through Vietnam. The room was immaculately presented, the staff were attentive and professional and the breakfast was delicious. I will absolutely be returning to stay again in the future. Special thanks to Truc and Sang who were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. 10/10

If I had to choose something - I would say that the gym could be a little bit larger with a bigger range of weights. This is so minor that I wouldn't necessarily call it a drawback as there are plenty of gyms around in the area.

My family and I recently spent three nights at the Myst and found everything about it to be warm, friendly and of a very high standard and quality. After multiple trips to Ho Chi Minh City, we had stayed at a few different Hotels in districts 1 and 3 but none had quite ticked all the boxes until this one. From check-in to check-out, we were consistently treated exceptionally well throughout all aspects of the hotel and its facilities. The location of the hotel is superb with easy walking access to a lot of the district 1 sights. The rooms are of a generous size and a bespoke nature instead of a boring sterile feel that many modern hotels sadly go for. The restaurant and staff were great to us, be it for breakfast, a la carte lunch, afternoon tea (included in the room rate) or for dinner. Just great food and a pleasant dining space to enjoy it in. The rooftop pool and bar area were fantastic also as was the cafe space at the hotels entry. Overall it was the consistent attention to detail at every step of the way that set it apart for us and we will be booking again on our next trip to HCMC.

We loved our stay at this beautifully designed hotel, which mixes vintage charm with a modern feel. The rooms are stylish, very comfortable, and feature large beds and private balconies with jacuzzis (we didn’t use ours, but it’s a great option!). The location is fantastic — close to Dong Khoi Street, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and landmarks like the Opera House, Cathedral, and Post Office. It’s also just a short walk to the river for easy access to river cruises. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar, which was a great place to relax. Although we didn’t visit the spa, it’s another nice option to have. The daily afternoon tea with live Vietnamese music was a lovely extra touch. The staff were excellent, especially Duc from the concierge team, who helped organise Opera House tickets for us at the last minute. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City

Fantastic Stay – Great Location, Gorgeous Hotel

Location is great. Design of the hotel is cool. Staff is very friendly and generous. Great service!

Rooms - More exactly the fact there are no proper hangers for towels.. Especially for hand and face towels.. The hanger on the bathroom door is very poor and because of it our towels were always falling on the floor. The rooms are pretty smalll, if we wouldn't do an upgrade the view of the room would have been awful, more exactly you could see a big wall in front of you and nothing else. The noise in the room .. You could hear everything from outside.. Especially the traffic noise. Breakfast - Generally good breakfast but there was always a problem in communication. I want to hard boiled eggs - I was getting soft eggs I want two hot Vietnamese white coffee - I was getting iced coffee

We decided on a little bit of luxury after 5 weeks in Viet Nam. The Myst offered rooms with balconies and a mixture of modern and traditional decor. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax during the heat of the day. High tea is a daily ritual not to be missed.

The Myst Dong Khoi is the most beautiful place to stay. I have been here twice and I would come back time and time again. It’s been 7 years between stays and this hotel has not aged a minute. The Myst has the most beautiful staff who are friendly and accomodating. Their facilities are incredible and the food is unbelievable. We had a late flight after our check out and the staff offered for us to continue enjoying all the facilities, including the pool and the high tea, until we left for our flight later in the evening. A highlight of our trip, I would recommend this place to everyone.
