Amazing hotel. The location is perfect, really close to the old town and near great shops and restaurants. Ideal to be close as it is also very hot and can cool down in the pool between exploring. Robert is an absolute legend, he is so kind and passionate about you having the most comfortable stay and getting the most out of Hoi An. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere with service this great again (unless I come back). We went to nearly all of his recommendations and they were all incredible. He knows the best Banh Mi places! I have already recommended to my friends and would love to come back!

Robert is an excellent host and his wife is just delightful. They were always happy and helpful, as were the rest of the team. He's full of good ideas and advice and it's obvious he wants his guests to really have a good holiday. The hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from the old town and close to convenience stores, cafes and restaurants. Our room was spacious, bright and clean. The balcony was of usable size to sit and have a drink watching the street below. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Strong wifi, effective aircon and pleasant bathroom. Robert's minibar prices are very fair indeed. In fact, the entire stay was excellent value given the facilities, room size and cleanliness. The pool is a great asset to recover from a hot day - clean and chlorinated - and we used it a couple of times over our 4 day stay. It's about 10m long so big enough for quite a few people. Robert's little niceties such as a complimentary bite to eat on arrival and departure show such care. We also hired a couple of geared bikes from Robert for a day and they are really well maintained and decently priced. We spent 6 hours on them visiting the beach area, paddy fields and speaking to locals out on the farms and country lanes.

There really was nothing we didn't like and we certainly recommend the Lion King. However, other travellers may like to know there is no elevator (it didn't bother us and Robert's porter carried our bags up and down). The bar wasn't open on our visit but there are hundreds to choose from so again, not the end of the world.

Flower and her husband were wonderful hosts. Their hospitality alone was exceptional and we're glad we picked the Lion King Hotel as our accommodation. They're knowledgeable and made sure they we were able to have the true Hoi An experience. We organised a basket boat tour to the coconut village and also transfer to and from the hotel - all services were impeccable! Everything went smoothly. The location was also central to the main quarter and everything was in walking distance. They were even kind enough to leave us with a parting gift as we checked out!

Everything everyone has said is true, this really is such a special place to stay. Flower & Robert are fun and caring and cheeky and generous, they make this such a lovely place to come back to after a big day. Lots of great suggestions for eating, drinking, tailors and activities - from their local knowledge and guest feedback. It was VERY hot when we were there so great to have the pool, and great it was so central and easy to get anywhere.

We haven’t checked out yet; one more night to complete this wonderful vacation in Hoi An, but so far we love it here. Compared to all other places we have stayed in Vietnam, Lion King Hotel is the best. Definitely would stay here again

Robert and Mrs flower are amazing people and treat every guest like family. This is the second time I have stayed here and they greeted me with my favourite vegetarian Bahn mi. The facilities are great - 2 minute walk to old town, beds super comfy, wifi very fast. Fantastic pool is a bonus to cool down after a long hot day. Supermarket with freshly baked pastries directly across the road , so not having breakfast included doesn’t matter. They organised bikes to rent for us, laundry to be done for us, and even made my Mum ginger tea when she wasn’t feeling well.

Hosts Robert and Flower were amazing and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. They greeted us when we arrived and provided information on local attractions and tours. They even provided us with delicious Banh Mi rolls upon arrival and departure from a local store. They provided transport to and from the airport and to activities that we chose. Definitely would recommend this hotel to all our family and friends and anyone looking for a clean, comfortable boutique hotel in an excellent location with amazing hosts.

The location is very close walking distance to all attractions within 5 mins, and the nice tropical pool is great touch for cooling off after a hot day out and about. My young loves it!! Robert, the owner is excellent who bought us each Banh Mi for breakfast when we has a very early check-in. He provided us they attractions around Hoian and the best place for eating out which are best in town for its speciality like Banh Mi, Banh Xeo, Com Ga etc.. and fine fining like Morning Glory. The tour he helped organise for us late in the afternoon when it is cooler was excellent to the coconut village on the basket boat. We loved the whole experience and crab fishing was a highlight for my sons. Our whole family really like Robert. To our surprise he was provided Banh Mi as we check out and to top it with some local sweets which I loved. We can't thanks Robert and Flower enough as my son left his favourite soft toy behind which they helps posted it back to Sydney for us. We highlightly recommend this hotel to anyone who visit Hoian!

This was my first visit to Hoi An and kinda confused where to stay at first because I usually stayed in chained-hotels tbh. Then bumped into this listing which has ALL 5* review (listing picture are great as well), literally ALL 5* review, so decided to give it a try. 1. They have everything you need in the room, starting from channel tv (netflix, amazon prime, youtube, and such), hairdryer, small refrigerator, FAST wifi, complete amenities (toothbrush, razor, comb, hand soap, body soap, shampoo etc), clothes rack, water heater, and a safe. 2. They don't have breakfast (the time I visited) - but I'm not a morning person and skip breakfast everyday so this is not a problem for me. 3. Tourist attractions are reachable by walking. 4. There are 2 convenience store, Highlands coffee, KFC in front of the property, Starbucks coffee behind the building, and lots of ATM around. If you travel alot you know these are important stuff. 5. Great hotel design. (I'm picky. I don't stay in a place where sofa, curtains, and bed sheet colour don't make sense) Additional Point : - This hotel treats you like family. - Upon checking-in : Me and my sister arrived late in the afternoon and we were exhausted. Robert (the owner) turned on the AC in the room so by the time we checked in it was already cool and comfortable. Later in the evening he also bought us 2 Bahn Mi just in case we don't have time to go out / to have dinner. - There's a binder inside the room explaining what to wear, where to go, and what to do / not do (to the city, to the people, and to yourself). I'm amazed not only for the effort to create the content but also for the content itself. You'll understand what I mean when you read the binder. - The 2nd day Robert also spare some time for us and suggested some great places to visit and dine. - Upon checking-out : Robert also prepared some local snacks for us to bring to the airport.

Lion King is THE hotel to stay in Hoi An. It is perfectly located and has a beautiful, quiet pool area. Our room (double standard) was spacious and nicely decorated. What made the difference though were its owners. Robert (hope the name is correct) and his wife warmly welcomed us. He gave us all the best tips to enjoy our stay, which unfortunately was only one night. Thanks to him in only one day we managed to have the best food and shopping experiences in Hoi An, which we absolutely loved. Communication was also super easy as they are very responsive via booking chat. Cherry on top, when we left for the airport he offered us two delicious Bahn Mì and a box of fresh sweets. This really broke out hearts. Will never forget their kindness!
