First of all, the wonderful hotel stuff team, who went above and beyond to make your stay as smooth and pleasant as possible. Large, clean and well-appointed rooms, a plate of fresh fruit was a nice welcome. Breakfast, in addition to the standard items, allows you to try local Hue specialties. The location is right next to the city's entertainment center, a short walk to the river promenade and a slightly longer one to the Citadel. Despite some remarks below we will remember our stay as very enjoyable.

Despite the hotel being in the second line of buildings, you have to reckon with the fact that the rooms at the front will be affected by noise from nearby pubs and restaurants, where extremely loud music is played outside (this is a custom specific to Hue, from what I have noticed). Luckily, this madness ends around 10-11 p.m. There is a lot of humidity in the room with a specific smell, despite the sunny and warm weather outside. The balcony turned out to be useless due to the aforementioned noise, lack of furniture and the fact that it overlooked a residential building very close by.

Staff Linda & David were amazing. They were friendly and courteous and greeted us with a smile and conversation at all times. Location was hidden away from the Main Street but close enough to the action. Breakfast was great with hot meals made to order so that they were served fresh and hot. Lovely hot shower and very comfortable bed and lots of pillows!! We were greeted with an assortment of complimentary fresh fruit in our room which felt personal and welcoming. Ambiance of the lobby was relaxing with an assortment of books to read at leisure if desired.

A table and chair on the balcony would be a nice touch so you could enjoy the outside. Not a major issue but unfortunately due to a power outage the tv became unavailable and couldn’t be repaired for our stay which would’ve been nice to have to unwind at the end of the day.

We got a room on the fifth floor which was very quiet, shower pressure is very good, the bed linen super clean and a comfortable cozy bed. There’s a mini fridge and good air conditioner, hair drier and slippers. The staff can speak fluent English and gave us great tips on the surrounding area, Madame Thu was our favorite spot for lunch and we got tailored outfits made at Bo’s Tailor. They rent scooter for 180k a day and the scooter was new and super easy to ride around town. We swapped books at the entrance where they keep a little library and you can pre order how you want for eggs cooked for the following morning. Breakfast until 10am which was great for late sleepers too. So far probably one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in while in Vietnam and would definitely return to when in Hue. By the way, Hue is so beautiful and lively, I hope you have the opportunity to visit it once in a lifetime.

There’s no smart tv, Netflix would be great but no big deal!

We have just enjoyed 3 fabulous nights at the charming Scarlett Boutique Hotel. Tucked down a quiet street, just a very short walk from walking street, the location was superb. Our flight arrived late on the first evening and we were warmly greeted by the wonderful staff at the hotel, who were so welcoming and attentive for the duration of our stay - assisting us with private tours, and even packing us a breakfast box to take with us on checkout due to an early train departure. The rooms were clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable, allowing us to have wonderful rested sleeps. Thank you Ruby, Thanh, Linda and team! We hope to be back soon, and will be sure to recommend your hotel to friends or family visiting your beautiful city.

I would say the most comfortable bed we have stayed in throughout traveling Vietnam!!! The room and ensuite were nicely decorated and for the money absolutely worth it and more! The staff were fantastic, really kind and helpful. I would fully recommend this hotel. We only stayed one night but would have happily stayed more if we were in Hue for longer.

The only let down was the breakfast. This is an extra 4 dollars a person. The toast and such are fine, but the pho was unfortunately not very nice and I couldn't eat it. We also ordered eggs which were also disappointing. I think improvements could be made on the breakfast quality which if done, would make this hotel a 10/10! Also the Aircon in our room was very loud and likely needed a service but it did work well and so this wasn't a huge issue.

Great breakfast, so fresh as cooked fresh to your order.lovely big room, very comfortable and the location was great, so close to many restaurants and easy to walk around. The staff are such beautiful friendly people who made our stay so special from upgrading our room, calling us by our names and keeping our room spotless. The little extra touches in our room with fruit, water and hand written notes was just so lovely. Definitely our favourite hotel in our 8 weeks through Vietnam. Special thanks to the beautiful Linda and David who were just 2 of the wonderful staff. Hope we get the opportunity to come back to this wonderful hotel.

Can’t think of anything, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property is located in a strategic location, set slightly back from the main road, which makes it much quieter but still convenient for walking to all the city's points of interest. Warm welcome at check-in with fresh fruit and a welcome soft drink. The large room, perfectly clean and equipped with all comforts. The buffet breakfast was fresh, very varied and tasty. The hotel's strong point is the reception staff, always available, kind and competent. Friendly and welcoming, they made us feel truly at home: I remember some names because we had the opportunity to speak: Linda, Roise, Ryan. However, all the staff deserve a special "thanks" because they were all truly kind. Really recommended.

Well situated close to a lively night area (restaurants / bars ...), yet just far enough to be quiet. The staff was lovely and helpful all the way through. The room was clean, comfy, spacious and properly equipped. We've got a plate of complementary fresh fruits in there, that's a nice touch. We had breakfast only once there : it is a small buffet but with fresh and tasty offerings. On top of that, you can ask for some specific dishes to be cooked for you in advance, like crepes with fruits or omelets, scrambled eggs (they have about ten on the menu I think). They'll be freshly cooked for you when you get there in the morning. That's included in the breakfast price. Definitely a great place to stay in Hue !

The hotel.is adorable, there is a fantastic chocolate shop on the street if you head left, and an excellent spa if you head right. We forgot our bag of chocolate goodies for the sleeper train back to Hanoi, as we pulled into.the train station there was a knock on the window of our cab. Ryan, one of the front desk guys had followed us on a scooter and handed the bag back to laughing and wishing us a good train trip. THAT IS THE KIND.OF SERVICE that was drummed into.us when i worked at the Ritz Carlton, a $1000 a night hotel, yet in Vietnam, that's just normal hospitality

The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had forgotten to tell them that we didn't have hot water when we left for dinner and when I mentioned it when we returned after dinner, it was immediately addressed. We had asked to store our luggage as we arrived on the over night sleeper train and were pleasantly surprised to find our rooms ready for us to check into . We had requested ahead of time a driver from the train station to the hotel and a tour guide for seeing the sights the day we arrived. Both the driver and the guide exceeded our expectations. The driver kept the car running and cooled off on the very hot and humid day of sight seeing. The guide was very knowledgable and modified our tour for us due to the extreme heat that day.
