Everything was amazing and breakfast had all the options. Lots of eating and drinking options and a great pool.

They need to be selective in allowing private functions. A 12 hour rave party is too noisy for guests who are paying for five star hotel experience.

The buffet was excellent 👌. The grounds and view from the pool are pleasurable.

The rooms are dated and need to be refurbed to give 5* value.

Service at this hotel was phenomenal. Reception staff accommodated our requests and needs to the best of their ability. The room and especially the bed was very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need including iron and ironing board which I used to iron my dress for a wedding we attended at the hotel.

We travelled at a busy time of year so the hotel was very crowded at times especially in the lobby, but the floors of the hotel were still very quiet. At breakfast time it was very busy and the staff struggled a little to keep up with cleaning the tables and replacing certain items, but they were very helpful and kind nevertheless!

Overall we were very happy with the staff at the entrance, reception staff and room service. The staff who attended to the room cleaning always did an excellent job. Dinning room staff were better after we bought up lack of service to the management. The food was excellent the pool was very clean.

The behaviour of a dinning room reception staff member was not acceptable. When complained to the relevant managers it was corrected promptly. We really appreciated and found the dinning room staff excellent after that.

Just stayed one night after flying in before getting the train the next morning. Very convenient for train station. Arrived late so didn’t get to use many of the facilities, but the pool looked nice, and the view of the lake was lovely! Ate dinner at the buffet restaurant which was pleasant, and had the buffet breakfast the next morning which had a good selection. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, bed was big and comfortable. Cot for baby was delivered to the room pretty quickly after we got to our room, although we had ordered it in advance. We didn’t notice it too much because we had a noise machine on, but there was a club downstairs with loud music that we could hear when we went to bed.

There is a nice big pool with a view of the lake. I am grateful they did what they could to out us in the rooms we wanted. Food at the buffet was ok, though I appreciated that they had a small cafe downstairs for more modest bite. The gym was enough for a workout.

Our check in took a long time, and am grateful they offered Juice to us while we waited. The room is a bit dated, but the bed is really comfy. I was confused about the breakfast and whether I could eat there or not. I wish this was clearer. If you plan on driving there from Negombo, it can be a nightmare, especially if it's raining. It was the most stressful thing I did in Sri Lanka! Get a transport or taxi. It's an hour away from the airport, so not very convenient if you're thinking of staying there before or after a flight.

A short distance from the train station, this large hotel is well located to explore Colombo. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and quiet. We were able to leave our luggage after check out as we were flying out of SL late. The hotel is top notch and deserving of its 5 star rating. The breakfast was so varied, and we particularly felt the evening buffet was exceptional value, with such a range of cuisines to choose from. Pool area was also great and we could watch the birds on the lake.

Any meal or drinks purchases cannot be added to a bill, so have to be paid for at point of purchase, so take your payment method with you to the pool area and restaurant. I think there is a way to sort this at reception, but we didn’t quite understand this, so for our one night stay this wasn’t an issue, but embarrassing when we had no means to pay for our drinks by the pool!

Beautiful location with five star amenities available at your service. We booked only for one night and regret not staying another day to chill and eat and relax. Definitely try out steam and sauna services free with your access to swimming pool. They also accommodated early check in on request and availability and a room upgrade with pool view.

The overcrowding during year end party and music till late night for which hotel provided option to relocate if needed to another room away from the party area.

Staff were helpful and friendly,very big pool with nice view and big garden,very comfortable and big bedroom but the best part was for us the breakfast and dinner buffet.Chef and his team do amazing job.I have been with my family at many different buffets all over the world but this was one of the best one we have ever tried,every single food was increadibly tasty with very reasonable price We will definetely come back again.

Room was smelling very heavy cigarette smoke.There were very big terrace but seems like some disrespectful tourists were smoking in the room,housekeeping maybe can ventilate the room more and use some room freshener.

Nice decent size room with a swimming pool right in front of the lake and the view of the Lotus tower. My main highlights were the breakfast and dinner. The wide variety and selection was out of this world and you get to try different cuisines as well. By far, the best restaurant I've been to in a hotel. Breakfast has a variety of European and Asian selections which was a nice touch. Also, it's location in downtown Colombo is great which is just a few minutes drive to the shopping mall and the Lotus Tower.

The check-in was way too long and they took more than 30 minutes considering we were tired after our road trip from Mirissa. The shower head in the bathroom was broken as well as the bathtub drain stopper, so I couldn't take a nice bath unfortunately which I was really looking forward to.
