A'Zambezi River Lodge is a beautiful property nestled perfectly between reserve forests and the Zambezi River, offering a serene retreat. The property's lush green surroundings, resident animals (Sebastian the hippo, birds, boars) complemented by stunning gardens, offer an abundance of natural beauty, inviting leisurely strolls and serene moments by the river. The rooms have a tasteful decor, and the staff, notably Adrian from the travel desk and Sibo from reception, are exceptionally helpful. The resort is pleasantly distanced from the main town centre, offering a tranquil setting while still conveniently reachable with just a brief 10-minute drive. One of the standout features is the hotel's complimentary shuttles to the town and Victoria Falls, providing both convenience and savings for guests seeking a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle.

The hotel's restaurant service could be improved for quicker and more efficient dining experiences. It would greatly benefit from a well-functioning coffee machine and an expanded range of vegetarian options on the menu, particularly considering offerings like the sunset cruise, providing a more inclusive dining experience for all guests.

The ambience of the room was excellent. Room service was excellent and the staff were very friendly

There were ants in the room .There is need to regularly fumigate the rooms against ants and cochroaches. It took a long time to confirm my reservation which I had done with Booking.com.Showed the staff the messages from Booking.com but they had to go to another office to verify my status . Please sort out your booking system with Booking.com so as to avoid inconvenience to your customers .

Beautiful settings next to the Zambezi River. Beautiful green lawns and lovely swimming pool and lapa restaurant. Friendly staff.

A limited selections of wines. The wine list can improve. The prices of the soft drinks and alcoholic drinks were expensive and not market related.

Location on the banks of river Zambezi and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious, nice and clean.

Food was very poor quality and tasteless. Room phone was faulty. Some of the bathroom fixtures have problems. They need to spend money on upgrading the fixtures and equipment.

The rooms are comfortable, the wifi is good, the setting is lovely and the restaurant and room service is good. I especially appreciated the pool which was a welcome relief in the hot weather.

Managing some of the other guests was difficult for the staff - some guests just did not cooperate or follow accepted hotel etiquette e.g. smoking at the door of the room. The staff did try to manage the situation.

Breakfast was good -- Room was good -- Dinner was good -- Overall, the experience was good to great. Plenty of choice was offered in terms of what to eat. And beyond the buffet, a menu a la carte was available.

The first room assigned to me was subpart to what I had expected. However, once reported to the staff, they quickly switched me to a different room after taking notes of my remarks. Thus making my stay even more comfortable.

The property is located right on the banks of the Zambezi river. It has a lovely green lawn, crystal blue pool and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is close to all the tourist attractions and the staff is really friendly and always willing to help.

The food was good, although they had fillet steak on the menu. It was not in stock, and the same with cheese; there was no cheese in stock. Some other items were also out of stock. They can also improve on their wine list.

Located out of town in the national park, the grounds are visited by buffalo, warthog and elephant, all of which you can watch whilst in the restaurant / bar if you're lucky! The pool is excellent. The location is just on the river but with quite steep banks, so it's not plagued by crocs. The restaurant is superb (warthog is delicious, as is continental breakfast). Very friendly and helpful bar staff. Entertainment is provided at dinner (don't miss the marimba band)

Could do with slightly more regular pool towel refresh and pool clean due to the number of bugs around.

The hotel is on the river's edge, warthogs and other animals roaming freely, super friendly staff who is willing to assist at all times.

Meals are very pricy - rather eat in town. Same for activities desk - rather book in town and negotiate. Transport much cheaper by booking directly with a taxi owner. Didn't replace amenities.
