Loved my stay! My apartment was perfect! I had a little kitchenette, my bathroom had all the things I needed. I loved that I had access to a washing machine and dryer. I didn’t use them at all but knowing that I had access to them was just brilliant!

Trying to find it was a little difficult and there wasn’t anywhere easy to pull up and check in with my rental car and being on my own. I had to park at a boom gate with a big sign that said “don’t park here” with my hazard lights on. The staff told me it was ok to park there but you don’t know that until you get to the office to check in

I knew about the Abode Woden but not Abode Phillip. They are near each other. I love the comfort of the room (Deluxe King). The bed is so comfortable. The room has a small table and chairs set, a comfy arm chair, big tv. The kitchenette has a stove top, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. It's amazing how much is packed it, yet the room is uncluttered. There is some parking in the basement. You have to book a spot, otherwise if it is full you park at a neighbouring building and walk back to the hotel. For more people it would be a minor inconvenience. Also I asked for parking in my booking the hotel carpark was full when I arrived. I have issues with mobility, so it would have been a difficult, painful walk, carting my stuff with me from the other parking area. I mentioned this to the reception staff and a solution was quickly found. found There in no restaurant on the premises, but Abode Woden, 2 blocks away, is where you have breakfast, if you pay for that option. There is a pantry with snacks and frozen meals, available at reception up to 8.00pm.

Great value. The room was spacious, fittings new, and clean. Comfy bed. Quiet overnight. If you had to stay for a few days there was a sufficient kitchen and laundry facilities.

For the price it’s hard to complain! The room could use some more personality - it’s very beige - but it was also soothing. It’s a busy government spot that is starting to be residential and it looks like there will be many more options nearby soon. Breakfast/nice coffee options are currently a longer walk on a Sunday. My room faced the busy driveway but it wasn’t an issue overnight.

Nowhere to park unless you are willing to pay for onsite parking at $25 per night. No place to park to check in. Paid parking space is tight if you have a bigger car such as a RAV4. The access from car park to the building after 7pm can be a little frustrating while you wait for someone in Belconnan to answer the buzzer and remotely unlock the door. For a 2 person room, there is only 1 armchair, unless sitting on a dining chair or bed is ok for you.

The location was central to cafe, restaurant ,sightseeing, city almost everything. We loved the room,very spacious, clean and it had almost everything we needed. It was sad that we stayed there just for one night. Parking area was good and the premises was secured.Definitely coming back for another holiday .I was checking late but the staff communicated very nicely , overall the experience was good.

The entrance door was having an issue after hours so we had to wait to get in but there was 24 hours security.

New and fresh, large well-appointed rooms. Large shower and great hot water.

Lacking advisory signs for check-in parking, and no obvious reception signs/arrows. No direct steps to reception leaves reception office obscure. Rubbish bin skip covering entry arrow on driveway, hindering and obscuring access to underground parking area. No written confirmation of return of car parking key fob and room access keys. People like to know that they have a physical receipt of item being returned, and undamaged. The signed and dated paper receipt upon check-in is evidence for the Abode for dispensing the items-but this is not reciprocated for the guest upon check-out.

I arrived on the first day that the hotel was open so everything was new and fresh. There were still some finishing touches being applied but these were a minor in convenience. The room was spacious, quiet and had a pleasant outlook. It was great to be able to buy a meal from the pantry then heat and serve it in my room. Parking was easy to access and the location was only 5 minutes from the Canberra hospital. Pillows were much more comfortable than the huge ones at other Abode hotels where I have stayed. The somewhat high parking fee of $25 was compensated for by the very reasonable room rate.

It was not easy to spot reception from the road and you cannot access it directly but have to walk away from it and then double back. The air conditioning made a loud pulsing sound so I had to turn it off to sleep - I expect this is just a teething problem and in any case the room retained its heat throughout the night

Room was wonderful. Wasn’t noisy, even with us having a street from room. Cooking facilities would have been good had we the need for them.

Lack of parking facilities, we were travelling so had things in the back of our truck we were worried about. Apparently you need to book a spot which wasn’t clear. Also the trolley supposed to be in use for taking bags to rooms was terrible. Couldn’t use it in the end because the wheels were going in ever direction but the way we wanted. Have to say staff did not help with this at all.

There is an extra charge of $50 upon check-in for your dog if travelling with pets. It is not noted anywhere when booking and seems excessive. Lack of free to air TV seems ridiculous - you need chrome cast to watch anything. Parking outside reception is chaos and is poor for accessibility. We parked a block away as $25 pn is expensive for Woden. On the plus side, beds are comfy, rooms are spacious and clean. Amenities are basic. No shower cap or body lotion.

Location to shopping, restaurants, clubs and cages! The room was very comfortable and clean. Quiet venue, staff pleasant.

The room didn't have a long mirror! The basement car park had many puddles, no rain for approximately 48hrs! I slipped and fell heavily in a puddle. I reported it to the person in reception when I checked out.....he said....'yeah, that happens when it rains'!! I am lucky I didn't break a bone or suffer a head strike....
