It was a good location for roma street station which can get you anywhere, also close to where Greyhound buses pick up. It has a basic gym and holds yoga classes. The coffee from the cafe is great! Shower was good.

The walk up the hill with my suitcase lol

Best hostel kitchen ever! Cubbies for everyone and good system, very nice terrace and pool, lovely staff! Filtered water at reception.

The mattress! Omg mattresses were so worn out, in many beds… need to be replaced/made more comfortable

My second time staying here and this has to be one of the cleanest and best hostels i have stayed at throughout Australia. Everything from the location, the staff who were so friendly and helpful, the dorms so comfy and clean and the kitchen deserves a special mention. It was the cleanest kitchen i have ever seen and this is down to the team especially Jen and her son. She is such a lovely lady and kept everything in an absolute spotless condition. And its not just surface clean, she could be seen giving everywhere a deep clean each day. Theres also a library, a swimming pool and an activities room. 100 pc recommend this Yha Brisbane.

Nothing. Everything was perfect

Easy to find. Handy to Roma St station. Super clean room and bathroom. Windows opened. Handy Coles supermarket, Palace cinemas, Oporto, Sushi 5 minutes safe walk. Lots of bookings, but very quiet of an evening. Safe and secure. Nice welcome at reception.

There is construction going on over the road and they have night time bright lights that blast onto your window. My window had a block out holland blind, but the light blasted through the gaps on the side. Bring an eye mask. Block out curtains will fix this. Unfortunately, this 30+ storey high rise impacts on the river views and the construction will go on for some time. There was no overnight construction noise. Whilst this is going on I would not charge more to get a river side room.

It’s very modern but the pillows are pretty flat which gave me neck ache. The walls are quite thin but good set of earplugs will sort you out. Unfortunately the earplugs don’t work so well when someone in your room is screaming in the middle of the night. Don’t know what is wrong with people along the east coast but so many people seem to scream or shout in their sleep. The actual hostel is great, the facilities are nice and modern and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and it’s in a nice quiet location but also pretty close to the city centre. Would stay again and hope for better guests 😂

Absolutely gorgeous setup, very clean. Bunkbeds were very comfy and the whole building is stylish. Have most things you’d need, including every bunk having their own charging outlets and lights built in. Pretty cool. Staff were also really friendly which made the whole thing more pleasant. The showers are absolutely phenomenal for a travellers hostel too. In a setting where you rarely get a moment to yourself, the showers are very nice and allow a place to relax with room and a nice flow from the showerhead.

Not really the properties fault, but the hostel by nature attracts young travellers. I myself am only 24, but I need to be able to sleep well at night as I have a lot of things to do through the day. Due to the mostly young clientele, it is common to have rowdy and disrespectful roommates. They are also consistently busy as a hostel, so moving rooms isn’t readily available, meaning you’re stuck with who you’re stuck with. I’m not the type to report people to reception for them to potentially lose their place to stay, even if they were disrespectful, but in the event that you do get the hostel involved, they are very fast and efficiently acting.

- nice staff, I got fantasist recommendations for local places to visit - nice buildings with lot of facilities: swimming pool, rooftop, gym room, silent room, laptop room. - each bed has a curtain, a socket and a usb plug

- shower with no pressure, it's more haze - no hand soap in the bathroom, ensuite dorms should not be synonym for lack of hygiene - the dorm wasn't clean and the bin emptied the days when there was no one checking out the dorm - my dorm was two floors underneath the sport room but on Friday and Saturday I could hear the loud bangs from weights being dropped on the floor every minute, the gym room should have more restricted hours than until 11pm. - the kitchen and diner room are too hot when it's raining outside and there is no possibility to open the doors of the rooftop - 4 dryers for 5 washing machine is not enough, I had to wait 1h to be able to use a dryer

THE BEST CLEANIST YHA we've ever stayed at!!! SO LOVELY & CLEAN in rooms & public areas. We absolutely love YHA Brisbane - fantastic rooms & customer service. Such a wonderfully designed YHA - excellent location, fabulous refurbishments, comfy beds, nice pillows & linen. Great TV in room. Awesome little cafe. Our favourite place to stay when we're travelling through the city 100%. Thanks so much to Hamish on the front desk for being understanding with our special request. Thank you once again to all the wonderful staff especially the lovely freindly Kiwi Cleaning Supervisor Kelz - for making our stay so comfortable & relaxing. Will definitely return.

The big building being built next door - but then what do you expect? It's the city

The room was really clean and modern. The shower was excellent. I loved the service, there was a Brazilian guy on reception, he help me on the phone and when I arrived there with my little daughter too, he was so kind and supportive with us. I a have a opportunity to come back I certainly will do it. The atmosphere is amazing, lots of young people, but didn’t have noise during the night, the collective spaces were tidy and clean, the rooms are beautiful and functional. I recommend this accomodation for those who want to be close the center and in a nice place to stay.
