It was a good location for roma street station which can get you anywhere, also close to where Greyhound buses pick up. It has a basic gym and holds yoga classes. The coffee from the cafe is great! Shower was good.

Best hostel kitchen ever! Cubbies for everyone and good system, very nice terrace and pool, lovely staff! Filtered water at reception.

The mattress! Omg mattresses were so worn out, in many beds… need to be replaced/made more comfortable

- nice staff, I got fantasist recommendations for local places to visit - nice buildings with lot of facilities: swimming pool, rooftop, gym room, silent room, laptop room. - each bed has a curtain, a socket and a usb plug

- shower with no pressure, it's more haze - no hand soap in the bathroom, ensuite dorms should not be synonym for lack of hygiene - the dorm wasn't clean and the bin emptied the days when there was no one checking out the dorm - my dorm was two floors underneath the sport room but on Friday and Saturday I could hear the loud bangs from weights being dropped on the floor every minute, the gym room should have more restricted hours than until 11pm. - the kitchen and diner room are too hot when it's raining outside and there is no possibility to open the doors of the rooftop - 4 dryers for 5 washing machine is not enough, I had to wait 1h to be able to use a dryer

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! Everything about it was perfect. The facilities are outstanding, starting with the yoga area, which was a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, making it super easy to prepare meals. I also loved the large workspaces—they’re perfect for digital nomads or anyone needing a quiet place to focus. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. To top it all off, the hostel even has a gym, which was such a bonus! The vibe here is friendly and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities to connect with other travelers. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a balance of relaxation, productivity, and fun. I’ll definitely be back! And great location!

The blankets.

Really great hostel, it’s very big with lots of amenities. Bed was the comfiest bed we have had our whole trip, room was quiet and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Pool, kitchen and eating area was great and the cafe served good sandwiches and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and happy to help.

Kitchen was very busy in the evenings, felt like there were not enough hobs/sinks. No ovens either. Many of the washing machines and dryers were out of order too, came to take my stuff out of the washer a minute after the cycle finished and someone had already taken my clothes out and thrown them across the top of the machines.

Very great and comfortable room with private bathroom that matched the expectation. Having a kitchen and facilities for coworking and yoga and a small library and bar was great.

It was a bit pricey compared to the fact that the majority of the guests are dorm-dweller backpackers and there is a lot of noise. It is located within a long walk distance from the city center (I was planned for this but for anyone who may think its very close to different central landmarks). Lastly, the fire alarm went off falsely many times (even early morning) and required evacuation…

Gym was a nice surprise. Great kitchen. Loved the rooftop. Great social events. Nice crowd. Really friendly and true hostel vibes. Curtains on the beds and lights and chargers. Was really surprised by this hostel having stayed in the yha in Sydney which is absolutely awful but would highly recommend this one. Had everything you could want

80% of the washers and dryers were broken and people dumped my clothes out mid cycle. Long waits for dryers I never managed to get one I waited all day. Air con in the room didn't work so it was pretty stuffy and sweaty.

The property was clean and fresh, the rooms were spacious and tidy. The rooftop bar was nice and various spaces to relax. Overall worth the price!

I was charged twice, once when booking through booking.com and again upon check automatically from my card, I had to go to reception and they organised a refund but not much of an apology was provided. I also booked parking for 1 out of 2 nights of my stay (that was all that was available) when checking in, the lady at reception gave me a access key card with no instructions on how to get to the car park so I had to go back and ask, I still couldn’t find it so had to call up and get further instructions, was quite confusing and misleading.

Massive thanks to the reception team, everyone was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Nice rooms and curtains give some privacy in the shared room. Enough toilets and showers, never had to wait. Swimming pool on the rooftop with a view and plenty of entertainment.

The main reason for choosing YHA was an opportunity to book a hotdesk, although it was sorted for me (again thanks to the staff), it seems like this service is not well organized. Screens are missing cables and anyone can have access (which is great but then you might end up without a screen you were relying on).
