I liked how close by it was to the Southbank Streets Beach, the big 'Brisbane' sign and Queen Street Mall across the river. It was also close by to the TransLink ferry service. I like that there was a fan installed in the ensuite, and immersive (almost) 360⁰ floor-to-ceiling window views of the city. Wi-fi was easy to access and the network was very stable.

I didn't like that there was no dish rack to allow dishes and cutlery to dry more easily, so I used the racks inside the dish washer to store them. There was dish washing liquid but no easy way to store it, so I used a glass during my stay to store it which was kind of inconvenient. Most of all, I was not a fan of how there were stains, marks, even crumbs and entire pieces of dry food scattered on the couch and rug in the apartment. It would have been better if there was a power outlet to charge my phone closer to the couch.

Position is great, close to train station, ferries and bridges to walk in to city and Southbank parkland

One lift wasn't working. There was a build up of slim on the soap, shampoo dispensers and along base of shower door. Drains smell yuk.

Room was upgraded on arrivaland and had million dollar views across the river to the city. The room cacilities was more than expected as everything was supplied. The pool and spa and sauna was also great to utilize during my stay. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location was ok and next door to a convenience store and not far from the Entertainment Centre and Railway Station however did not know that it was known as a drug area. I was advised that cabs were hesitant to enter the area after dark. I had two cabs ordered but were cancelled in the middle of the day.

The apartment was very roomy and comfortable. The location is very convenient for the South Bank and cultural quarter – a short walk from the museum, art galleries and library and close to QPAC. To reach the city centre, it's about a ten minute walk across the nearby pedestrian bridge. The nearest City Cat wharf is a ten to twelve minute walk. The railway and bus stations are ten minutes' walk. The West End area with lots of restaurants is also easily walkable. There is a small supermarket about ten minutes' walk and a larger Coles supermarket a little further, but also walkable. The apartment had a fantastic view of the river and city from the large balcony. On the 24th floor it was surprising how much traffic noise could be heard. The apartment was mostly very clean although not spotless. The rugs and carpets could have done with a go-over with a vacuum cleaner. The furnishings were OK but nothing special. Apartment facilities were good with a washing machine and dryer. Kitchen white goods were great. Utensils etc were adequate for cooking in the apartment. Storage was great; plenty of cupboards and shelves. The beds were very comfortable for us and there was a variety of pillows so that anyone would probably kind one or a combination of pillows to make them comfortable. The gym and swimming pool were good. Unusually, the pool had a nice long lap section so that you could have a proper swim. There was also a sauna next to the pool. Brisbane has its own attractions as well as being convenient for the Sunshine Coast (beautiful beaches, Australia Zoo, Caboolture Historic Village etc.) and the nearby islands, the Gold Coast with its glitz and theme parks, and trips into the nearby hills and further into the Great dividing Range. There is a really beautiful botanical garden at Mount Coot-Tha and a good lookout and reasonable restaurant at the top of that hill. Lots of interesting city buildings and bridges for civil engineering fans.

The lifts are a bit slow. We had a paid and numbered parking space but it was not reserved specifically for the apartment. The reception desk staff advised that others may park there and to use another space marked with a red notice if this happened (which it did). However, some of these also had additional notices reserving them for specific apartments so parking was a bit unclear and annoying.

The property is close to the CBD, trains, QPAC and there are plenty of nice cafes/restaurants nearby. The city views at night are stunning. We got the NYE fireworks display from our balcony/bedroom - was spectacular. The reception staff were great and one lady in particular was very friendly.

Check-in after hours is tedious. Security is a bit lacking - there are a number of undesirable individuals lurking in the street, one of which managed to get in and sleep on the couch in the lobby one night. I felt threatened on more than one occasion when exiting the building with verbal abuse hurled my way.

The apartment was quite comfortable- on the top, 30th floor. Lovely view of the mountains and surrounding city and bend in the river. Was close to city amenities and transport. Picking up key from front desk was much nicer than some other units in same location in the past when had to find lock-box etc. and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient. Pool was kept cleaner than many other buildings in the vicinity that we have stayed at in the past. Wifi was good and problems facilitated quite well by tech support at number provided.

The major down side of this particular unit is that it faces the rail-line that is on a curve right below to cross the Brisbane River on rail bridge heading for the main station of Roma St. and on the curve the train makes and incredibly loud grating noise, day and night. Hard to sit outside and enjoy a meal or time on lovely balcony due to the noise which seems to be accentuated between the building and quite ear-piercing. Also hard to regulate the a/c between the 2 bedrooms. For one room to be not too hot the other bedroom was too cold.

The accommodation was well located within the CBD. It was easy to drive to and easy to walk around. Good views and the apartment was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

We felt very ripped off by Booking.com because we were charged $AU25/day for a parking space we requested by messaging through the Booking-com App. If we had requested the parking space directly with the hotel it would have been free. That is a complete rort by Booking.com

The location was great - easy walk to South Bank & Queen St Mall etc. The facilities were maintained well I utilised the pool, spa & sauna. Overall a great little getaway.

The apartment we were in 2507 most of the surfaces were dusty, the furniture could do with a good clean & an upgrade some items were chipped, the shower screen handle is broken & it cut my finger, mould in the shower alcove, the bin is rusty & looks shabby, the toilet seat was very loose & was dirty underneath, all fans & filter grids were filthy & every surface had finger prints on them. Just needs attention to detail on the cleaning side.

The reception staff at Hope Street are super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was clean enough. Nice touches such as soaps, shampoo and conditioner, flannels etc in the bathroom and very handy to have a washing machine and dryer. The location is also fantastic, just a five - ten minute walk away from the main bus stops, Woolies, bars and restaurants and the West End.

One of the bath towels was dirty, some cutlery still had food on it, there was quite a lot of food crumbs left on the balcony and balcony furniture, and there is a strong damp/stale water smell that comes from the bathroom. Wifi and TV were quite poor and the bedroom lamp did not work.

We stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom apartment on the 29th floor, and had an exceptional view towards Southbank. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The king beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a couple of basic meals. The apartment had ducted air-conditioning so the temperature was comfortable in all rooms. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. Location was good, easy to walk to Southbank parklands and a few good restaurants nearby.

One of the lifts was out of order, so there was quite a bit of waiting for lifts at times which didn't bother us, but we did have to allow extra time getting in and out. The apartment door didn't have a security chain or a peep hole so we did feel a bit uncomfortable when we had a knock at the door one evening, however it feels like a secure building with key fob access to each floor.
