Had an amazing time staying at this hostel! Staff were great and very friendly, especially the receptionist Annabelle who was always willing to help and explained everything the hostel offers on check in. The rooms are nice and the curtains on the bed were an added bonus. Location is great as it is a short walk into town and south bank. The hostel has a TV room and the rooftop which has amazing views of the city as well as hosting events each night which makes it great to meet new people. I look forward to staying here again in the future :)

The rooms were clean, and we were informed before a cleaning session so we could put our belongings on the beds. So they didn’t just clean around our stuff 👌. There’s a free weekly program, and I joined the BBQ and pancake breakfast. Saturday night was also great—we all went out partying together. Deborah (staff), who had only been here for a few days herself, managed everything really well 👌. The view from the rooftop is one of a kind 🥰. I don’t understand why some people rate this hostel poorly or say it’s dirty. It was one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in—and I’ve been traveling around Australia for 3 months now 😅.

The kitchen is very small. There are 3 fridges, which are of course completely full, and only 2 stoves with 4 burners each. It’s pretty cramped, but since everyone is friendly, it works out fine.

Even though, the hostel had a great location, and I had an overall nice experience, I didn't feel like there was a big social vibe, so especially for solo travelers it might be a bit harder to connect with people. To add, the beds felt incredibly hard and a bit uncomfortable.

The staff and the other guests are very friendly. The cleanliness is very good in all areas. The beds are quite comfy and better than other hostels. There are separate shared bathrooms for men and women. The vibes are amazing as they organize nachos nights, bbq Friday night and every Sunday they cook pancakes. The roof top has a lovely view. I strongly recommend this hostel!

The kitchen is small for the number of the guests. The last two days the water for shower was not hot, I hope they fix this issue soon! Also, as a recommendation, once in a while it's good to wash the white sheets under the blue ones.

The hostel was exactly as advertised and more. I loved that there were themed nights to give you something to do if you didn’t have any plans. The staff were amazing and everyone was so welcoming. The laundry facilities were clean and so was the kitchen.

The bathrooms do need a re-grouting and a bit of an update but overall it’s not too bad. The beds may be a bit firm for some but I prefer a bit more firmness.

Great location within the city. Coles is less than a 5 minute walk away and only a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Property is always cleaned as there is cleaners around daily. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hostel host an activity every night as ranging from free food to free entertainment which is great to see as a backpacker. Would absolutely recommend to anyone, I initially booked for 2 weeks and extended my stay by another month. Great experience overall

Room was small for 4 people, with hardly any floor space for bags. My room had a skylight, so I was woken up as soon as it was light - maybe a blind would be useful! Kitchen was a bit small for the amount of people staying there

Calm, relax and clean. All the staff was so nice and respectful with others. The kitchen is prepared with the essentials. Annie was always giving support for the guest enquiries. I recommend this place

I had a very smooth arrival in Brisbane after taking a late night train. The hostel is located next to the train station and there is a night warden for late check-ins. Comfortable rooms. The hostel was very clean and tidy, a high quality hostel like usual in the hostels of Summer House.

The Kitchen was well facilitated and everything was cleaned everyday. The team ensures clean rooms all the time and my room had curtains.
