The room was beautifully cared for given it's age. The sliding door to the veranda was very difficult to close and that is the reason why I left the door opened with we checked out, so that one your staff could feel it for themselves. Otherwise the veranda was just lovely. The bed was great. A couple of biscuits to go with the tea/coffee would have been fab for a weary traveller.

The door to the veranda. The fact that the TV could not to seen very well from the bed which is the logical place to sit in a room that size. The pressure of the shower was not very good and the hot water came and went so it was an adventure of some kind.

It is clean, I had a very comfortable bed & a balcony overlooking the parkland. I loved the location, close to nature yet within 10 minutes walk to town. I enjoyed it so much I have booked another stay on my way back through Brisbane next month.

With a large heavy suitcase plus other luggage the entrance to reception & the stairs were a bit tricky. As was the walk up through Parklands from Rona station (up a long flight of steps). I managed to avoid the steps back down to the station by walking further round Wickham terrace & entering the Parklands at the memorial which was then downhill to the cafe & lift.

Reasonably short walk to Roma St station and the CBD (although the walk back is predominately uphill). Room, whilst on the smallish side, was fairly well appointed and very reasonable for my Magic Round weekend stay. Very friendly and approachable staff. Will definitely consider for future Brisbane visits.

Absolutely stellar service and staff. I messaged asking for an early check in and a downstairs room due to having very heavy bags, and my wish was more than granted. The staff even carried my bags to my room for me. Great super clean facilities, crispy linen and a huge comfy bed. There is a free city loop bus stop virtually at the door so it was airtrain from the airport, walked outside central station and hop on the bus and dropped to the door. I was even given directions, in person and in paper on how to access the nearby coach terminal for the next part of my adventure. Repeat NZ visitor with a future booking already made 😊

Convenience, price, location and the staff. When I checked in I was greeted by the lovely Ray at reception 23/01/05 around 4pm. His customer service exceeded all expectations. I have managed customer service teams within different sectors and he by far is unmatched. I accidentally locked myself out of my room around 8pm stuck on the balcony, panicking that the office was closed and no way to get in, when I called the line he answered and came to my aid. Soho is very fortunate to be graced with his presence. Thankyou Ray, you represent the hotel with so much grace and professionalism. I will definitely be back.

Price was high for an older building, no expel air in bathroom so fogged up mirror and room, the tv light we had to cover with a towel at night as it was so bright, also we couldn't get out our balcony until the morning when we asked staff.. was ours locked, the latch was hard to work out and not easy to open, staff did it by unscrewing, definitely not user friendly or intuitive

Lovely location directly opposite the park next to a private hospital. To the main city hall central area was a nice 10-15 mins walk through park. Be aware, it is called Spring Hills for a reason… so there are ups and downs for the walk. Room was basic but with everything you need for a short stay. Bed was comfortable and firm. Air conditioning unit was good and cold enough for those hot and humid days.

The shower was very small and tired. The water pressure wasn’t good and the water temperature kept changing form boiling hot to cold… The window in bathroom could not close, so if you happen to have people smoking outside, you will be able to smell it.

Arrived after dark, after a plane to Brisbane airport and then a train. Even with directions. wouldn't have been able to find my way walking through the parklands from Roma St station so had to take taxi, $32 expensive. But could walk back in the morning, even with heavy suitcase as it is downhill. Directions through Parklands need to be more detailed eg at the top of the escalator turn left, follow (name of path) etc

Room was small but everything was comfortable and pretty quiet. I slept well in the bed. It was cozy and comfy. The concierge was super friendly, personable and helpful. He clearly loves Brisbane and gave great suggestions to go be a tourist at and places to go and eat. I took suggestions for both, and they were great. His dinner suggestions were especially excellent, and the Creole restaurant down the street was amazing. He also learned my name and called me it anytime we spoke. I would stay here again.

Some things were a bit a dated, but everything was comfortable and worked well.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Reception staff were cheery when we arrived, even though it was late at night. There were great recommendations for things to do and we were also given a map of the surrounding area. The bed was really comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The view and little balcony was a nice touch and the location fantastic.

There was no "no disturb" sign so our bed was remade after we made it in the morning before going to coffee. We do not enjoy the way hotel beds are made and always untuck absolutely everything when we sleep, but there was no way to let the staff know we did not want the room tidied as we were out and about before the reception opened. The doors don't seal well so the room really lights up at night when you try to sleep as the cracks all around the doors let light in. The light-blocking curtains do a terrific job in front of the windows, though. The aircon was extremely noisy, but I never travel without earplugs so that ended up not being too bad.
