Great location, good staff, good rooms and kitchen. The only complaint I have is the fact that there is only one shower that has warm water guaranteed (the kitchen one). If you go to the other showers, you have 50% chances of getting warm water. This can certainly be fixed. I like the idea of free breakfast but 8 am starting time is way too late... The sun is out between 5.30 and 6.30 am for the whole year and people start early. I could see that everyday people were already waiting for breakfast since 7 as they wanted to go out as early as possible to enjoy the day to the fullest. I don't expect staff to put a free breakfast at 6, but there is no excuse for not starting at 7! Please consider this, and you hostel will be unbeatable!

Bed cubby was spacious and had a built in areas for storage. Light had a dimmer. Bed and pillow was comfy. Temperature in room was decent. Large storage space for luggage at entrance to room. Tiny pool out back. Free towel. Staff was very friendly. Free light breakfast. Windows provided good amount of light. Provide a sheet and blanket (if needed).

It was like your bed was in the hallway. My bed was in the first room at the end, right, by the stairwell coming up and the door opening and closing at night was loud. Plus, I could hear every conversation, shoe clack and roller bag. Need to work on the sound proofing and get some soft close doors. Only had a USB port in the cubby, so some people had cords plugged in on the opposite wall, blocking walkways. Lower beds are floor level with a tiny little hole to crawl in and out of. Ladders could be moved over to provide more space to enter/exit. There were only 4 bathroom stalls for an entire floor of rooms??? And only a few showers stalls. Need way more. Toilet was dirty and trash basket overflowing with paper towels by early morning. Free soap.

The location of the property was in the heart of the city. The staff were responsive and helpful. The property was well maintained and clean. I specifically liked the social events at night like the bingo game. Being able to meet and interact with people from different parts of the globe is something I really liked. The staff was strict on the rules, but that is something I would like to appreciate. I found him to be faithful towards his job and considerate towards the cleaning staff, which is something I liked.

I expected the four-bed dormitory with attached bathroom to be slightly bigger in size, although it was clean and tidy.

Funky, exciting decor with some humour, position great. Was initially a little perplexed by kitchens and shared areas closing at 10pm but I grew to like it. It ensured a sleep rhythm and it was good to have the quietness during sleep times. Free breakfast was a bonus and not expected. Great muesli - didn’t have to buy my own. Loved that the knives were sharp, there were 2 air fryers (I’m now a convert)

Space is at a premium and not unlimited so it’s a bit of a drag having food storage on different floor to kitchen. There were plenty of lockers but fridge space was very tight and made more difficult by the odd use of milk crate like shelving It was a very inefficient use if the fridge space and unlike a wire shelf, if your bag of food got bigger, it couldn’t expand along the line. Also the lip on the “crate” made it difficult to ift a bag out. But really, my only gripe

I stayed in an 8 capsule bed room. Bed was comfortable and private. The room had 3 AC units and was always at a nice temperature. There was no power outlet next to each bed but there are 2 USB ports. There was a cabinet inside the capsule, next to the bed, so you could put your things and even lock it with a padlock if you wanted to, although i didn't feel the need to do so. Breakfast didn't have a lot of options, but it was enough for me. Bathrooms were shared and pretty good, there were enough sinks, showers and toilets, and there was complimentary shower gel. Everything was farely clean, including bathrooms, kitchen and other common areas. No dirty dishes around and you could always find staff putting clean dishes away and cleaning counter tops and tables. Sometimes, there were also hang outs in the evenings organized by the hostel, like wine and cheese, pizza and beer, or popcorn and a movie. Staff was nice and location is perfect as well. I liked my stay and would definitely book again. Oh and there's a small gym area and a pool, I didn't use them and the pool it's a bit small, but they're there :)

Silent hours start at 10pm, which is fine, but it would've been nice to have some of the common areas open until later, like I've seen in other hostels. And I saw a cockroach near the kitchen.

The amenities were good, social areas and bedroom were clean. Very good offering for breakfast with a selection of non dairy milks. Tea and coffee available all day free of charge. Lovely outdoor and seating areas everywhere.

Shower on ground floor no warm water let alone hot. Brown sofa next to sink is a problem area for people talking on their phones too early in the morning, right next to bedrooms. Perhaps there could be a consideration sign? Extra hooks in the showers would be really helpful for towels clothes and bags etc. Lighting in room was not great and there was no curtain for modesty

I wasn't expecting to have such a good experience at a hostel! First of all, the staff was really kind and super helpful, being able to provide 24 hrs support. The rooms provide privacy for residents. One cannot imagine how well-designed the door are to be so quiet when it closes...totally slam-proof and sound-proof. It's just the best. Bathrooms and toilets are surprisingly clean! Common areas provide enough seating, and the kitchen is well-equipped with everything for residents to use for free. I love the fact that they DON'T allow people to use their own speakers, using CrowdDJ instead to let people play songs, cleverly implementing noise control. Closing the common area at 10 pm is also a wonderful policy... giving us early-nighters peace of mind and regulating others to be considerate in shared accommodation. The everyday event was also a HUGE plus! I made so many friends from the game night! Towels and blankets can be used for free when requested. Not to mention the free breakfast... it's just so solo-traveler friendly. Love the stay here! Definitely worth it!

The window curtains in the room should be able to cover the whole window instead of half of it. I couldn't sleep too well because of the light shining into my bed all night. Also the type-B charging port in the cubicle really should be powerpoints, otherwise pretty inconvenient.

What a fabulous hostel !! We absolutely loved our stay at Brisbane Quarters. We even extended our stay. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything you could need. Very clever use of space. The bathroom just outside was exceptionally clean with a fabulous shower. A lovely breakfast was even included and we cooked our meals in the great kitchen. We also loved the wine and cheese night ! Set in the perfect location, everywhere is so close to walk to. Everyone was so helpful, kind and friendly. Absolutely brilliant value for money. We would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you so much for looking after us

Gorgeous hostel, felt much more homely than other hostels in the area and the staff were really fun to be around. I really liked the hostel vibe here. Very clean, good bathrooms, never had to wait, nice decoration and good social activities: movie night with fresh popcorn. Curtains on beds, personal lights and chargers. Really cute rooms and social areas.

Some other guests were not great, in and out at all hours, always being heavy handed with the lockers in the night. The room would always smell reeeeally strong of weed and they always left the room in a mess and never said hello. They brought (who i can only assume to be) a homeless guy into the dorm with his mattress and I woke up to him sleeping on the floor next to my bunk. Can't imagine the hostel approved this though! I would book a female only dorm to avoid this.

I got a great Booking.com discount for a bed in the 6-bed dorm. The hostel: - The hostel is stylish and modern, and they’ve fit so many facilities in what’s not that big of a building! Pool, small gym, laundry & ironing, etc. - The hostel was full but felt cleaner than other hostels. - There was a good vibe amongst guests, everyone was a young chill backpacker type, though the vibe wasn’t particularly social which was totally fine with me. The room: - The privacy in the dorm was great thanks to each bunk bed being in its own ‘wing’ of the room, the curtain on the beds, and a piece of board attached to the bunk beds that blocks sunlight from the window. - The bed had a USB and USB-C charging port, and a dimmable light. Staff: - Staff were really friendly, especially the blonde guy from the UK (sorry I didn’t catch his name!). Free breakfast: - I thought the free breakfast was great, everything was nice quality. There was plain toast, raisin toast, a range of spreads, greek yoghurt, tinned fruit, a few cereals including gluten free Weetbix. - Free breakfast goes from 8-10am, however the kitchen opens at 6am I think, so you can make tea, coffee or even hot chocolate before 8am. They have a range of milks including soy and oat.

The main thing I want to point out is that the mattress is not very comfortable. It reminded me of the ones in Southeast Asia hostels. I hope that this can be improved by getting new mattresses or mattress toppers. My dorm was on the lower floor and faced the street, so the passing cars are quite loud and continue even very late on a Monday night. I brought earplugs so it was fine, I 100% recommend bringing earplugs in case your dorm is near the street or a bathroom.
