The location of the Hotel was excellent from my point of view; easy walking distance to Central Train Station and restaurants in the river walk area. Also easy to access the CBD, Roma Street Parklands and South Bank Cultural Areas; the last two either by train or foot. Particularly liked the extra space in the room with a separate lounge area to the bedroom and bathroom. Also appreciated the combined front loading washer and dryer.

We couldn't seem to adjust the temperature on the air conditioning, but it was not a major problem as the room was supplied with a portable fan, which proved effective. The front doors are locked to the general public and are accessed by an electronic device attached to the room key. We were not aware of this safety measure prior to our arrival as we had not been able to access our emails. However, it was not a problem as we were able to gain access to the foyer through another guest who was exiting the building and there is a telephone number displayed to contact staff/management.

Excellent location opposite train station, short walk to Queen Street. Plenty of parking alternatives if you don't want the $60 per day insult. Beautiful, elegant old building that would hold so many stories.

Rooms needed a freshen up, minor repairs to cupboards, blown light bulbs etc, little things make a huge difference. The place felt clean, but you could tell they quickly went over it (I have a #2 haircut and there was long black hair in the bathroom)

Friendly and accommodating staff. Perfect location CBD Brisbane! 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, each room had its own ensuite, it had a washing machine/dryer, kitchen and utensils and value for money! We will definitely come here again.

Poor WIFI connection, but we used our mobile data. The dining chairs were old and torn but usable as we weren't fussy.

Loved that the entirety of the hotel was all the original historical fixtures and original furnishings, materials and details (especially the elevator doors with their original stained glass windows) I appreciate vintage and original architecture and workmanship so I loved every minute of being in the lobby as well as the room! Of course the moderations to make the apartment more accessible were necessary but the value was more in the experience of the visit itself. Fantastic pricing for 2 nights in Brisbane cbd and couldn’t be closer to central station if you tried for so cheap!! As we needed to commute to the entertainment centre for a concert

Definitely only thing that could be better was the shower handle being stiff and not separate handles and not being able to see which way was hot or cold and it was very touchy so the stuff shower handle made it harder to find the happy medium but other than that the temperature and pressure was great!

Helpful friendly and down to earth reception came down close to midnight to meet me. Thanks Helen. Hotel room was big and spacious. Has everything you need. Including TV and washing machine. Was well priced for what it was and right in the CBD so close to everything and right close to the Central Train Station where you can catch a train to the airport. And were very helpful and let me leave my bag at reception after check out.

Great location. Very central. Good sized room. Lovely old building.

Didn't see any staff at all. I was let into the building by another guest. I didn't realise this. So it took time to get to room. When I checked out, I used same envelope and had to launch it through shutter so it was out of reach of others. Also very expensive due to high demand that weekend for Magic Round (I also didn't know about that).

The room was well appointed and clean. Looks from the outside are deceiving and it me be old but a grand old building. Also very quiet for being on a busy street. Close to good food and shops,

It was all very good and would recommend to anyone for a short stay in Brisbane

I didnt have an information on accessing the wifi not sure where that information should have been sadly . Also the after hours access when first arriving was very clunky. I had already checked in online. Standing on front foyer talking into the dodgy hand set and giving my visa number details when I had already paid was unnecessary in a very public area. just as well I know my visa card number off by heart.

Absolutely beautifully renovated 1930s Art Deco building; tastefully appointed, huge apartments, which are exceptionally well equipped. One could live there permanently without any difficulty. 2 TVs, couches for 4 people. Exceptionally comfortable bed. Fantastic, modern clothes washer-dryer in the apartment.

Some of the kitchen equipment was a bit tired.

The hotel is period and was a pleasure to stay in. It was well appointed and very clean. You felt like you were walking into amovie set on arrival and the foyer was even better. It was convenient to the train network and a short walk to ANZAC Square and many of Brisbane's inner city attractions.
