Newly renovated with lovely rooms, the Amora is a great value for the price, quality of the rooms, and central location in Brisbane. A lot is walking distance away, close to Central station, buses, ferries, and short car trips to key areas (eg. New Farm, James Street etc). We loved our modern spacious room, huge comfortable bed, and fabulous bathroom with a rainshower. It was a great retreat from the heat at the end of the day, and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a small cafe/bar area near entrance and one restaurant, so you mostly need to find other places to eat in the city centre or The Valley, both walking distance away (as there's nothing close by as it's a commercial area). We enjoyed the pool and gym area too, though both got very busy so best to go early! Overall, for the price vs value, the Amora met our needs and would recommend for those seeking a comfortable room on a budget!

The breakfast was not as good as hoped & expected for Queensland, and didn't really provide many options for my vegetarian partner compared to the price. Staff were also very hard to get a hold of for requests and slow to respond here - the next day, we found a fab brunch spot (which Brisbane has many). The way the hotel is designed, many rooms only have small city views, but generally, you're only in the room to shower/sleep/recover from the heat as Brisbane is a city you want to be out and about in. Also, there was some confusion on how to drive to the front of the building, Google Maps and Ubers kept coming to the back of the building, so be sure to check this before arriving by car (or ordering Ubers while staying here).

Did not have breakfast at hotel. Location was great and room modern and comfortable and did not smell stale.

More lighting in the room- in particular in the bathroom and also if one lift is not operating - check must be stagerred otherwise waiting for lift can be frustrating.

Property was close to train station and the city.

Most places provide complimentary bottles of water during your stay. Given we were there for 3 nights and out and about during the day at magic round this is something we would have appreciated.

What a find! We have stayed at many Brisbane hotels over the years and this is one of the best ones. The location is good not far to walk to Queen St Mall. Being just up out of the busy part of the CBD the streets are a bit quieter and had no road noise in our room. Room was lovely and spacious. Extremely clean and bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds ever slept in. We had the breakfast which is buffet style and the selection was great. All the hotel staff were really friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.

Loved the location, just 5 mins walk to Central station and 10 mins to Queen street. Modern hotel with good amenities and value for money. Buffet breakfast did not disappoint with a wide variety of spread to choose from. Rooms are good sized with modern furnishings.

Not impressed by their housekeeping team though. Used coffee mugs were rarely changed/ cleaned and had to call front desk to arrange it. Even though beddings and towels were changed regularly but didn't think they vacuumed the carpet or mopped the bathroom floor. You need to up the ante on your housekeeping team guys.

Excellent location close to Central Train Station, easy check-in and booked king balcony room which was spacious with included mini bar selections. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower. We booked room with breakfast ($38 p/p) that had a comprehensive array of hot and cold breakfast dishes, coffee machine and continental choices, with optional personalised inclusions (omelette, eggs benedict etc.). 11am checkout which is always a bonus, relaxed reception area with space to sit, lobby cafe and restaurant on site with modern Australian menu (did not dine here on this occasion). Limited overnight room service menu but enjoyed a cheese platter after returning from our dinner out. Pleasant, helpful staff and overall wonderful stay for the night.

Everything was fabulous no issues.

The place is great location and clean was happy to stay there

I decided to extend my stay by one more night and confirmed this with the receptionist, who assured me that the update had been made. However, to my surprise, it was not reflected in the system. Here’s why: 1. My key card stopped working, which clearly showed that my extension hadn’t been updated. 2. I had to deal with multiple people asking me when I was checking out, even though I had already confirmed my extended stay. This was incredibly frustrating, and I really hope they improve their record updates to prevent this from happening in the future. I had initially planned to stay longer, but after this experience, I chose to check out and find another place, as I couldn’t bear the thought of enduring this again.

The location is great and the staff are very friendly and professional. There was security near the front desk which provided reassurance about the safety of the property. Facilities are modern, clean and aesthetic. Bathroom is lovely and the shower head is great. Room service menu is extensive. We ordered room service one night and asked for a salad without dairy as I’m lactose intolerant, however other food ordered contained dairy (for my family who can eat dairy). We received a phone call from the kitchen to confirm and check the order and to make sure we were aware of the dairy in the other food ordered.

There was a Tupperware container from a previous guest in the fridge. There was also a Vicks inhaler in the pocket of a robe. Both things made me question how well the room was cleaned after the previous guest. Breakfast was great, however some of the hot food (beans, hash browns and mushrooms) were cold despite being in the food warmer.

Hotel was fantastic, really efficient service. Parking was $15 for staying over the weekend. You do have to pay $100 bond but it gets given back to you a few days later. Hotel interior is beautiful and clean, room was spotless. White sheets, clean towels and lots of toilet accessories such as ; shampoo, body wash and little containers of cotton buds and shower cap. Breakfast had a great variety of hot and cold, lots of selections of different types of food. Definitely worth paying more for. We had such an amazing time here! Will be there again!

1. Only a small complaint, room fridge needs temp checking to be able to store food but it was still cold and awesome to have in the room! 2. Breakfast was awesome, think the only thing missing again only small- was that the chef mentioned there was no butter. It’s not the end of the world but a couple people did ask for it

We had a fantastic stay at Amora Hotel over the weekend for my birthday while attending the Candlelight performance at Grand on Ann. From start to finish, everything was seamless - easy parking, smooth check-in and exceptional service. The lady who assisted us at check-in was incredibly helpful and lovely. She went above and beyond, offering us a great discount on parking and even upgrading us to a premium suite at a fantastic rate. As a thoughtful birthday gesture, we were also treated to a complimentary drink each at the bar downstairs. The premium suite itself was beautiful - spacious, clean, with a great private balcony. While the floor could have used a better vacuum, the room was otherwise spotless. It would be great if slippers were provided, but that’s a minor detail. The location was perfect - just a quick three-minute walk to our show, making it super convenient. Overall, an amazing experience and we’d absolutely stay here again!
