After reading the reviews I somewhat dubious about booking but was pleasantly surprised, we only stayed one night at the end of a long week travelling. The location is excellent, short walk to the city and restaurants and the train station to the airport, and I found the staff helpful. So yes whilst it is somewhat dated and a bit tired we had everything we needed. One small (very) bathroom but this is stated in the facilities. Television, small fridge, tea & coffee making with milk pots provided. The bed was comfortable enough and had a warm blanket. Contrary to the reviews all was very clean, nice fluffy towels and crisp sheets. So would definitely stay again if visiting Brisbane, it is very reasonably priced and good value for money.

There was an extra charge to cater for late check out and damage, which is to be refunded to I guess that makes sense if people leave too late.

Very clean. Could have put an extra pillow in the room. Hand towel and bathmat would have been nice. Good location to visit the CBD. Not suitable for a long stay. Staff were very helpful

Musty smell in building

The place is very central to the Brisbane City especially to Queen's Street Mall and walking distance to the cultural centre busway 💖! The south bank is a place to visit, there are eateries and the wheel of brisbane is not far to walk from the hotel. The Brisbane City Hall is another attraction that is very close from the hotel 🥰!

I like the location and the place was clean. It had clean laundry and bedding and had a study table for studying 💖🥰! The staff were helpful however communication was not hard due to english as their second language on the time of booking. I enjoyed the quietness of the place and the eateries were close to the hotel.

No microwave in room or same floor, No plates or bowls to have cereals for breakfast. No cutlery.

The location and environment

Elevator wasn't working and no one told us we have to take the stairs so we have to wait for 10 mins cos no one was there to inform us.

I liked the simple comfort and lack of ostentation. My room was fairly quiet, and it had all the basics. That was all it needed to be. The location, close to town and just around the corner from the main railway station and coach stop, was an added bonus.

I can't think of anything that was much of a problem really. It's just a nice old budget hotel. If you were looking for luxury, you'd go elsewhere, but I wasn't.
