Oaks Brisbane on Margaret Street is very conveniently located. I will definitely choose Oaks on Brisbane vs the other Oaks accommodation when I next visit Brisbane. Room - perfect size for 2 pax - very spacious . I found my bed to my satisfaction.

Wished there could be a better water-heater tap control because the water can get extremely hot all of a sudden. Another SUGGESTION: Not sure if Oaks Brisbane has Showers instead of Bathtubs. More Showers are definitely (in my view) better than Bathtubs especially for seniors like me who have to climb in and out of the Bathtub and that can be slippery and dangerous. Oaks management could consider installing a bar handle (grip) near the wall at the end of the Bathtub so one can hold onto it when coming in or out of the Bathtub.

The apartment is in a good location for exploring the city area and south bank. There are close bus stops for buses to other areas and they are frequent and cheap 50c, also the river boats. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with a good bed and plenty of wardrobe space. Great having good kitchen appliances and laundry for our longer stay. Staff excellent. Thank you we had a great stay here.

Bathroom needs updating, showers over baths are an accident waiting to happen 🙄. A bit more attention to cleaning, skirtings and sinkbench in bathroom. For our longer stay a couple of extra towels etc in the room instead of having to ask would have been a nice touch.

Very close to be able to walk to the river bank walk and restaurants while also being very close to walk to Queen St Mall. Once inside your room it is very quiet with the window and doors closed. With them open you just get city noise. It was great to be able to open the kitchen window and balcony door for fresh air. There is air conditioning in the living area which I used for heating and it was very efficient. Very friendly and helpful reception staff.

I had a balcony which had a very close up view of the apartments opposite and offices so no sun. Next time I will request a view looking the other way.

Location

No handrail on bathroom wall to hold on to when getting in or out the shower over the bathtub. Too dangerous especially for seniors.

Great Stay in a Central Location I stayed for two nights and had a great experience. The location was perfect—just a short 3–5 minute walk to a convenience store and within walking distance to Queen Street Mall ( 8 minute walk) and the Botanic Gardens ( less than 4 minutes) . Ideal spot if you want to be right in town. I especially appreciated the secure key and key fob system—it made me feel safe. One bedroom apartment has a washing machine and dryer. The staff were awesome and even let me check in early as the room was available. Highly recommend for a city stay!

The water pressure was great however the hot water seems to run out quickly.

Proximity to botanic gardens, Government House, parliament, the Commisariat Stores Museum, and pretty easy walking to other city highlights. Loved the spaciousness of the apartment. Staff were very helpful.

There was a glitch with the TV reception while we were there. There's a slight step up to the bathroom and I stubbed my toe a couple of times. The toilet roll holder is in an awkward position. It's a bath/shower combo, so there's a climb in and out. There's no daily housekeeping. All these issues did not detract from a great stay.

Our unit had high ceilings and carpeted living area. The beds were comfy and the showers were good. I liked that they provided hand soap, shampoo and conditioners in refillables in each bathroom.

However, they should also provide refillables for kitchen and laundry - as our dishwashing liquid came in 1 small packet, as with 1 packet of dishwasher powder. Thankfully, we asked reception and they provided more. Also, bedroom 2 did not have aircon. There was a ceiling fan, and it does work to cool and ventilate the room so the kids slept well!

Good location

The broken lift for 2 out of the 3 days we were there.

Spacious two bedroom flat with ample common area, a full size kitchen, a large balcony, and in-unit laundry. The property also had a gym and a pool. The location was fantastic, less than one block from the botanical gardens, and within an easy walk to Kangaroo Point, Queen Street Mall, and the Brisbane Eye. To top it off, the staff was absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful visit.

Air conditioning is not available in the second bedroom.

We had a 2 bedroom on lvl 29 with a river view Staff were extremely friendly & went above and beyond. great location as it was close walking distance to everything. ( casino, riverstage, restaurants, convenience stores, bars, queen st mall) it Had beautiful views, beds were comfortable and room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It wasn’t over the top but I believe it was good value for money. views were spectacular. Parking was reasonable too & convenient. Would stay here again.

Lift was slow + balcony wasn’t huge but that’s clutching at straws.
